    I saved $280 on a $27 purchase ~~ not a typo nor error

*Grocery Outlet Bargain Outlet* Just noticed my previous review was 4 stars and not 5 as I intended...so I'm back for an encore & update and a big round of applause & HiGH FiVES for this winning team. Today I spent $27 on various items and saved $280 ~~ not a typo ~~ see the pic of my receipt. The Manager, Kat (in Cat City ;) is one cool Kat, runs a very tight ship and everyone working here, no matter which shift, is friendly, accommodating and swift. Also, I've noticed a Major League improvement for their produce...and they're carrying more Organic items than previously. I can't say enough about this place and praise them to all my family, friends and whoever takes the time to read this. Every time I come & leave here I walk away singing their catchy commercial jingle: SiNG it WiTH meee... {{{Grocery Outlet Bargain Market}}} Grandslam still a fan.

    Great Deals!

Just what we needed. Great deals and adds a ton of variety to the local population so we aren't limited to Stater Bros. or Walmart.

And I have to say that I have never had a bad experience in any way. Anyone who has any concept of this store knows that it's not the biggest in terms of selection of everything. It's a smaller store with fewer options but it really doesn't matter. The food they sell is so good. I love their own product line of groceries. Their golden oreo style Joe-Joe's cookies are like crack-cocaine. I can scarf a whole box in one night! I don't do that anymore, I'm in cookie recovery. But I know one of these days I'll fall off the wagon but I'll be fine with that. They have great prepared foods like meatloafs you can toss in the oven when you don't have time to make something from scratch. I love their Atlantic salmon with lemon herb butter. That's really delicious. Sadly, some products come and go. They used to have a sweet onion bacon vinaigrette that was phenomenal. We not only used it in salads but also to saute Brussels sprouts and other veggies. My entire household was sad to see that disappear. They have a great selection of supplements and very affordably priced skin care products which, according to some instagram users, claim are just as good as high end products that sell for a lot more money. Their fresh cut flower section is incredible. They're so fresh and are better quality and the best priced compared to any other grocers who carries flowers. They also have beautiful orchids and many different varieties. They sell a small collection of plants that always gets my attention. And like everything else at TJ's, their prices are better than anywhere else. Lastly, I have to give a shout out to Trader Joe's consistent excellent customer service skills. Trader Joe's is a shining example of a customer-centric culture with really great employees/staff that are engaging, know their product very well, are very willing to help and are down to earth. It reminds me of a bygone era where people were more engaging/friendlier twenty-five or thirty years ago. I think it's important to acknowledge how Trader Joe's shines in every way.

With loads of TJ, the parking situation can be a bitch. That does have a major factor in visiting some of them. I've driven to a further location as the parking is better. With here, if you can't find parking on the main level, there's alway plenty down underground. The layout of the stores are alway great. It's somewhat the same as all of them so it makes it easier to maneuver and find where things are. Staff are alway so friendly and welcoming. Even coming one or two time years ago, the staff would remember their customers. This location in my opinion has the best floral selection both for cut flowers and potted plants. So much to choose from and they're alway so fresh. Plus it's kind of a one stop shopping here and the other chain store next door. Location is great and parking is easy which is a major factor. Don't forget to validate your parking ticket for free parking when you're walking out. The machine is against the wall where the manger station is.

I don't know how they pick and choose location to add one compared to the normal. I've only been to the one in Orlando and now this location in the desert. Of course you have to have a massive parking lot to accommodate the loads of shoppers and wanderer's. Three entrances on either end of the store and garden center. There's a fast food place inside, you have the deli section and bakery. Of course the frozen section with quite some nice decent items. It's basically a grocery store on one side of the place. Even a decent isle for the international goods. There's a fairly decent section/department where the alcohol is located. So you have one side that's groceries and the other is basically everything else. Home goods, technology, clothing and so on. There's even a pretty decent size garden center that is pretty massive but it was a little sparse with what they offered. Some patio furniture, mainly soil and the usual pots and some plants. They also have a department for delivery and pickup. It's quite interesting for me...lol... Of course you have the option of self checkout or with someone. Bags are additional fee as we all know. What I didn't understand is, some of the items you would need to pay before hand if you want them. There's the beauty department where you have to leave your basket outside and pay for what you need before returning to it. And some other items in the store where you have to do the same or they can leave it at the customer service counter until you're finished. I had to do that with a measuring tape. We were still shopping and asked if it was ok. The staff seemed a bit annoyed with the request but took it to customer service anyways. Besides that concept, it a pretty good place for your one stop shop.

Finding some things was a little odd, they have an end cap for premade dips that wasn't where it should be. Not being as familiar with this location it turned into an entire experience. The produce and wine, beer and spirits sections being the most functional in terms of organization. The deli, pre-packed goods, bread, baked goods etc area was super limited - expected to find hummus and spreads here like at other locations or pretty much any grocery store in SoCal, but they like to keep you on your toes lol We were able to get help whenever we needed it and reasonable prices as to be expected. The isles are solid though some odd end caps and displays here and there. It's still got that vintage aesthetic with very modern touches I've been noticing at all Staters - mostly on the outer halves of the store. Huge parking lot with shared businesses (including a very nice carwash, fast eats and more), though not quite as big as the other Vista Chino location. *All Pretty Good at ALDI*…read more I've known about ALDI for years, but there's none on the Westside of LA. I'm fully aware of their history and relationship with Trader Joe's. Love TJ's. But I've never shopped at an ALDI. Finally decided to check out this ALDI, after grabbing a few things at Sprouts next-door. It's not too often there's two major commercial grocery stores located right smack next to each other. The parking lot is huge so there's no issues landing a parking space at this fairly large shopping plaza on the corner of Gene Autry & Ramon in Palm Springs. Inside, ALDI is slightly spacious, clean and the aisles are nice & wide. I walked up & down every aisle...and was very surprised to find 3 things: Organic Hummus for $2.79 Organic Persian Cucumbers. 1lb package of 8 mini cucs for $3.49 The hummus is fantastic. All natural ingredients. Made with olive oil. No seed oils, artificial crap or fake chemical fillers. Bought "the classic" (my fav) and "roasted red pepper" (wifey's fav) She was pleasantly surprised too how great it is. This is now definitely going to be included in our grocery store rotation. The Persian cucumbers are fresh & crisp and perfecto. It's been 4 days since I got them and they're still just as good & ripe, without any soft mushy spots. Usually when I buy these from other stores, they begin to spoil way too quickly. Sorry Trader Joe's. Also picked up a package of Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil. 50sq ft for $4.99. Great low price and quality. A couple things I noticed tho...only one checkout stand was open, and there was a steady flow of customers. 3 people in line ahead of me, with 3 more in back of me. Lots of customers still shopping. During my entire time at the store, spanning 20+ minutes, I did not see one other ALDI team member in the entire store. It was mid afternoon so it's not like it was primetime lunch break. Not sure if this is the norm or a one-off short-handed day? Nonetheless, since I had a little extra time to spare, I was okay with it. This time. Others tho in the store didn't seem too thrilled. I don't blame them. The girl at the checkout stand was very aloof and not welcoming. Seemed robotic...and didn't come across as if she wanted to be there. Acted as tho she was doing us all a favor being there. Most of us even bagged our own groceries in our own bags. I hope she understands and realizes we customers contribute to paying her salary...and if she keeps this up, one day soon an AI robot will take away her job. I hope not because good customer service is very crucial to enhance the chore of grocery shopping. It's one of the reasons I enjoying shopping at all Trader Joe's -- very friendly & welcoming team members. There's another ALDI in Palm Desert. I intend to check it out and compare. I'll be back later with some more constructive feedback ;-)
