    Price Conversion Chart!

After having roamed a majority of the Daiso's in SoCal, this one is AVERAGE at best. STILL, I'm thankful that we finally have the opportunity to house a Daiso in SATX. Thankfully, there were no long lines today and so we got in right away. Daiso is one of those stores that does well when there is SPACE to actually look through the numerous items that are for purchase. Unfortunately, the space here just doesn't cut it. I know previous reviews stated that there was barely anything left once they got inside. I'm here to tell ya that they are unboxing a truck load of stuff. There were boxes EVERYWHERE in the store (a hazard if you ask me), but it means that there's just a lot to unload -- just need more manpower to stock it. My favorite aisles are those that house stationary and skincare essentials. Sometimes household also gets to me. Although I didn't find anything to purchase today, there were a few cute items! Not everything is $1.50 or $1.75. There is a price conversion chart listed in multiple places throughout the store. If you are in a pinch for a certain item, this is a great place to come! The quality is usually top notch. There are 3 cash registers w/ one of them being run by a human being. Interaction was quite minimal but she was nice. I'm happy that unlike many Daiso's I've been to, you don't have to have a minimum purchase of $10 to use a credit card.

    Cute 1st time here

Fun stuff! I liked their character items and stationery section. Lots of Disney and Sanrio.

    Do they take Apple Pay?

No they don't the last time I went there, but if you have a way to call ahead, you could ask too.

We arrived a bit early and Lillian quickly whipped us up a welcome cocktail which she called "A Walk in the Garden". It was a prosecco based cocktail and absolutely delicious (and pretty). While we enjoyed this cocktail and looked around the shop... she prepared the workshop space for the lesson. The birthday girl had been given a list of cocktails in advance and was able to select the ones she wanted to learn how to make (she selected the Blackberry Smash & Bee's Knees). One thing I loved about this class is that Lillian gave options with each cocktail so that everyone would end up with a drink they loved. For example, if you don't like bourbon which is typically in a Bee's Knees... you could use gin instead! Then we had the options to make it spicy/sweet/herbal/ etc. By the end of the class... we all had different and personalized cocktails. In addition to the cocktails, Lillian prepared a large bowl of popcorn with specialty seasonings and showed us some of the fun tools that can be used for different prep methods. We also had downtime between making each drink to enjoy them and chat amongst ourselves. This class made for the perfect outing... we're already talking about doing another for the next girl's weekend. I cannot recommend this class enough and will absolutely be back!

I was doing a birthday weekend with friends in Boerne and came across Assemble Cocktail via Visit Boerne. I booked a private Tiki session for 7 of us and it was the perfect way to celebrate with friends. If there's only one or two of you, you can book an open session that's available. We made Mai Tais and Painkillers - both were delicious. Since I had a couple of folks who were preggo, I notified Lillian and she made sure to have two setups with zero-proof "spirits." Lillian was a great teacher and host. She has aprons and leis so the vibes were perfect. The location is a cute bungalow tucked behind another business on Main Street (kind of easy to miss if you're looking for it right on Main Street). The business started at the beginning of the year, so it's fairly new, but add it to your list of things to do if you're in the Boerne area!

Sometimes it looks like there aren't enough tables/tools in there with all the customers but it always seems to work out! I would give 5 stars because we have continually gone back but I feel like more can be done to show what products are available. It's a silly complaint but I'm always a little bummed when I don't see a piece I would like to work on so I settle for something affordable. (Which in my experience range from $18, 22, 28, 34, etc. I am sure there are ones more/less costly) I also understand some items maybe seasonal or limited but I think snapping a couple pictures and updating their "inventory" on Facebook/Instagram a little more often could go a long way. Lastly, we have found ourselves wanting to go to the store a few times but arrive and realize they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is key to remember when you go back to pick up the pieces you painted and paid for. Photos below are from August 2022.
