I had purchased other sponge holders at different Daiso stores, so... I was hopeful. This Daiso was located at Westfield Southcenter... a super huge mall with free parking and a clean environment! I went to the kitchen gadgets area and found white sponge holders with red Hello Kitty bows... perfect! It was just $2.25 plus tax! This is an essential store for dorm room life. Daiso also thrives in neighborhoods with multi-family developments with small square footage living spaces. It's between Jollibee and the library. The Southcenter location is smaller than the one in Federal Way. I like coming here for stationary and gifts because items are reasonably priced and better quality than a dollar store. read more

It's always such a treat to shop at Daiso! They carry unique products and almost everything that you may need from notebooks, kitchen items, miscellaneous decor, variety of Japanese snacks, ramen, teas, sundries, gardening tools, to all your household and personal needs at affordable prices. There was a young male worker that was so kind to hand me a basket to carry my items when he recognized my hands were full. That was very thoughtful of him. Went to this Daiso for the first time a few days ago and it was okay. Thought it'd have a better selection since it's in a mall, but it's actually more limited than the Daiso I go to on Aurora in Seattle and the one at Redmond Town Square (one of the best in Western WA). I looked for some Japanese cleaning tools and supplies and found an okay selection. I also looked for some stickers but their sticker endcap (not even an aisle) was lacking. So, it was worth it to visit to see what this Daiso had to offer, but I am not sure if I'd come back. read more

The spouse was wanting some bargain priced modeling supplies so off we went to Daiso, which is a fun visit no matter what you are looking for. Honestly I want everything in the store. They have something in every category and it's all bursting with kawaii as well as ingenuity of design. And yes, inexpensive. The only drawback, and I'm sure this is part of the appeal for some, is that the aisles are cramped and it's near impossible not to bump hips with the other clientele frequently. Today our cashier was especially friendly and helpful, letting us know when an item we were purchasing was perhaps a couple of dollars more than we were expecting (we're talking maybe 4 dollars instead of 1 or 2). This is such a CUTEEE store!! I've been here every time I visit Southcenter mall and I always end up getting something! They have a huge selection compared to the other Daiso stores in Seattle or Bellevue and the staff here are so helpful! Once, I went here looking for a certain Santa costume that I saw online but they don't have it in display. One of the staff members took their time to actually go back to their storage room and look through their inventory just to make sure that I have what I was looking for! This location is near the seafood market at Westfield Shopping Mall. Daiso is a 100-yen shop in Japan and basically $ 1.50 in the United States. Many of them have all the necessary items for daily life and have highly practical merchandise. The inside of the store is not very large, but there are things in the ridges, and all of them are very interesting. I would like to recommend an origami book. Japanese is translated into English and also have Good taste and beautifully colored origami. In addition, there are many unique and cute design chair leg covers, convenient bars that partition the drawers, and kitchen utensils are multifunctional. It's so much fun to see Daiso. When I see a Daiso, I shop. It's an unwritten rule. I will always walk out with something useful. Most items are $1.50. Any deviations are marked with a bright sticker. The key thing to a satisfying Daiso shopping experience is to expect nothing. When you want to find something, you won't find it. Their inventory is sooooo random. If I can better predict and rely on Daiso for products, they will be a magical 5 stars experience. As is, they will never reach that stage. They will always be I'm a happy 4 stars fan. Having said that, they carry the most surprising items, in a shrunken version, much cuter, for a bargain. I'm sharing some of my finds this trip. 1. Chair Socks What the what? I discovered these at Daiso several years ago, and they are the best thing ever if you have hardwood floors. For many years, I put the sticky pads at the bottom of chairs to prevent scratching. They work for a while, and then they collect dust and peels off. It's a pain. Then I found these! WHAT!?! The elastic wears out in a few years and need to be replaced or tied up with a rubber band. Still better than those pads. 2. Closet Dehumidifier Nothing sexy, but highly functional to draw dampness out of the closet air. Quite a bit cheaper than Target. 3. Caramel Corn Snacks I love the cute little packets for portion control. Uwajimaya has the normal full size, but I eat way too much of that. This is better and only a buck! I didn't see the step stools until I've paid and leaving. Gonna take a second look at that next time! read more

I have never been into a Daiso store until 01/30/2021, and let me tell you, moving forward my life will be better than ever because I now know not only the existence but the pure beauty and magic of this store. Upon entered you'll find yourself immersed in a sea of affordable novelties ranging from cleaning supplies, cookware, craft items, toys, home decor, food, legit EVERYTHING. No price tag, no problem. It's $1.50 USD. Make sure to get a cart - you'll need it because in this store you'll find more things that you need but don't truly need. But you need it. Whether it's $5.00 for a frying pan, $3.00 for slippers or $12.00 for an adorable stuffed Dino that's cute, just get it. Life is too short not too. And it's Daiso. Definitely not as large as the Federal Way store, but same rules apply: don't forget to bring your sunglasses! Daiso stores are so outrageously bright that I just don't know what to do with myself when I first walk in. Do I squint and risk getting crow's feet in a few years? Do I put on my sunglasses and look like a crack head? Perhaps I find and purchase some sunglasses there, since surely they have them?? Tough choice, Daiso. Daiso is a pretty legit dollar store; general rule of thumb is that items are $1.50 unless otherwise noted. The store is very well organized and kept clean, which makes for a pleasant shopping experience. This store pretty much has a little bit of everything that you need, and things that you don't need and didn't know that you wanted...but you totally do. Decent Japanese Dollar store type of place. Got a whole lot of small thingamajigs inside. Like, cellphone stuff, face masks, hand sanitizes, pens, pencils, Japanese snacks, kitchen accessories, hair stuff, etc. Pretty stocked up inside. The aisles are full of stuff all over the stores. This is a nice Daiso shop in the Southcenter Mall. We checked out Daiso while in the area, near where Seafood City is. The store was well-organized and of course, nearly everything was $1.50! Everyone goes to Daiso for its wonderful deals on household items, stationary, gift items, Japanese candy, etc... This particular location was neat and organized, with employees, re-stocking items. Aisles were clear and items were easy to find. It's nice to have a Daiso location in Southcenter, just in case you're in the area. There's always new items to check out, particularly home decor, and unless otherwise specified, most items are less than two bucks. Can't complain about that. read more

This is a four-star place if you love knickknacks, odds and ends, this and that, and generally cluttering your home with a variety of pens, plastics, and paper you're never going to use. In other words, it's right up my alley (and cluttering every surface in my apartment). However, this Daiso is sorely lacking in one of the departments I love in other Daisos: the stationary department. There are hardly any notebooks and the majority of the ones they do have are plain old boring American notebooks with wide-ruled pages. Blechhhh. You could do better shopping at Fred Meyer. On the other hand, this Daiso excels in the storage department. I never thought about coming here for inexpensive containers of all sizes, made out of plastic, wicker, or fabric. Skip The Container Store (I didn't and I paid way more for equivalent things I could have found here) and buy almost everything you need to organize your home. One of things I like about Daiso is that you can also find unusual items that you won't see anywhere else. The idea of the fuzzy (permanent?) self-stick toilet seat liner is going to haunt my OCD clean freak dreams tonight, I'm sure of it. read more

Daiso is kind of like a Japanese inspired dollar store. There are all kinds of knick knacks that you can get here. All the way from cute little dust collectors like solar powered toys that wave at you, memo holders for your desk, decorations to more practical things like clothes hangers and notebooks. I bought a considerable amount of both fun stuff... ok mostly fun stuff and a few practical items as well. You can also get candy here for very good prices from Pocky to gummi candies a d lots more! The store has all kinds of things to look at and if you want to look at everything you may be here for a while. I look forward to coming back whenever I am in Tukwila and at the mall. It's a little ticky to reach going off of the directory since it's in a corner of the mall but it is near the mall entrance to Seafood City so hopefully that would help in locating it. read more

To the unknowing shopper,, this shop is the Japanese Equivalent to the Dollar Three. But with better quality and prettier stuff. Tucked in the "Asian" corner of Tukwila mall. This shop is one of my favorite shops in the world. Since its been renovated, it is now an open concept style with the shorter shelves and brighter lighting. It's totally fun to just browse stuff that you might or might not need. But who cares,, everything in here is super affordable and there is no excuse not to get something even if it was impulse buy. If it wasn't for Daiso,, i wouldn't have those cute Japanese soup bowls with the red insides. I even got myself a nice sake serving set. Little cute trays for shots when hosting a party. Trust me,, all these things are really nice looking. None of which has the signs and symptoms of a dollar store purchase. I love you Daiso,, I wish you an I can get married one day. I can spend some time here to look at interesting things for writing, traveling, cooking, beauty products or supplies, etc. It's entertaining because their products are mostly inexpensive and are good qualities. This one inside the mall is very small though so products are limited in comparison to others I've been to. I got some plain big white soup bowls and of course, I like collecting tea cups or mugs. I picked up another one that is so small but also so cute. The ladies at the front where I go to pay are nice and witty as well. I like that they are friendly and seem to enjoy working here. Aside from the usual product, they carry yummy (major brand) Japanese treats that you'd regularly get from uwajimaya or H-mart for considerably more. The products that they carry tend to be adorable- cute packaging and happy, innocent themes. The quality of the items is very satisfying. For example, I picked up a pair of thinning sheers for hair (couldn't find them anywhere else) for $1.50 and they have held up against me and my husband's thick, long, curly, Tarzan-esque do's for over a year now! They have some cool and crafty things but the store itself is pretty small and doesn't have a wide variety in certain categories but if you're looking to just look around I'm sure you can pick up something. In the children's toy section, they have the cutest little inflatables with a little picture on the box in case you are confused where they go. :) (I uploaded a photo) So now I have officially been to every Daiso location in Washington. The Alderwood Mall location in Lynnwood seems to have the largest selection, but I am thinking most people know this...so when I can't find what I'm looking for there, the next closest, which is the Seattle location across from Uwajimaya...has what I'm looking for. The Southcenter store seems to have the best organization and is the second largest of the stores (in square footage). I just love Daiso... So many bargains.! Can I just live here? Everything is sooo cheap and cute! From socks to dinnerware they have it here at Daiso! I learned about this place from a friend who worked in Japan for a year. When you get here be sure to take your time walking down ALL the isles! You never know what you need for only $1.50 -$5. I hate paying $10 at Walmart for a ugly cheap shower curtain just to throw away in 3 months. So I come to Daiso and buy the a cute owl or whatever cute shower curtain they have that month for $5 and it works better than the ones from Walmart for Half the price! Also bought all my dinnerware from here which they only sell individually but looks so clean and modern. I love the simplicity and practicality the store encompasses. My first time in Daiso was last night, and this is a cool store! Having a store where 90% of the items are $1.50 like most dollar stores is cool but it's even cooler when you can find sushi dishes, small electronics, Sake dishes, obento, Japanese wall hangings, fans,craft stuff like oils and acrylic sets and brushes for just $1.50!!! A lot of things I had only seen on TV or read in magazines that are popular in Asia like hot spring bath powder, foot pads, and double eyelid tape. Loved the tiny cupcake tins and left with cat sunglasses. Also loved how so many things were in miniature compared to what I'm use to in America. I'm an artist and ideas were flowing for all kinds of things I could buy and use in arts and crafts. They have all kinds of things for the garden, home, kitchen, crafts, office, decor, cosmetics, toys, party decor and costumes and food and drinks. The ladies working were all polite and friendly.
