So, reading through some of these reviews from a newly opened store is comical. Obviously, you'll get a lot of fake reviews or reviews from people that have false information. Here are a couple key points to point out: -someone gave the store 1 star because they didn't bother to bundle up. Remember adult children, if it's cold outside wear a winter coat, winter hat, gloves, and scarf. Don't try to be "cool" by wearing a t -shirt, shorts, and no coat at all. Also, basic grammar would be appreciated. -one person gave the store 1 star because they didn't know how to use Google. A quick Google search as well as on social media showed me that the store opened up on 1/18/25 (Sat). Conversion rates are not going to be accurate so this is not really a dollar store. It's just a Japanese discount store. I'll have to go back when it's not flooded by newbies. You can find a lot of goodies that are cheap to slightly expensive (for what it is. $1.75 to $15.25). Just FYI, be careful with the items that are not marked. I know it says without a price it's $1.75 but some of the items will come out much higher. Other than that, customer service was friendly and they got the line going, the best they can at night.

The first Daiso in IL opened today in Willowbrook! It's a Japanese dollar store with lots of goodies inside with price ranging from $1.75 - $15.25. Understanding the prices is a little tricky, but it works similar to the Daiso in Japan where items without specified Yen on the package will cost $1.75, otherwise you have to match the Yen price to the conversion chart hanging throughout the store. Snacks, home goods, stationary, kitchen, camping, toys... They have cute items (hug pillows, fuzzy hair clips, Sanrio character bags) and useful practical items (cat themed kitchenware, teapot, towel hooks, etc). I was disappointed to see the makeup section filled with LA Colors brand cosmetics, why even have a cosmetic section? They should bring use the space for other items you would normally find at a Daiso store. There a couple of self-checkout registers that helped move things along. Grand opening day experience: The line was long by 830a, 30 min before they opened at 9a. It was cold and windy outside, but it wasn't too bad as I was bundled up. It was good they didn't let everyone all in at once because the aisles are small and can easily get over loaded. The staff were friendly and helpful. They ran out of shopping baskets, so it'll be a good idea to bring your own shopping bag when they are busy. .|\---/| | @_@ | ..\_^_/..2025

Fun little 'dollar store' ($2.25) shop for Japanese trinkets, household items, personal care, and snacks. I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon Japanese fishing supplies such as lures, hooks, and fishing string. There are lots of school supplies too. Most items are $2.25. I've been to other Daiso locations in Asia where they also function as a 'dollar'/budget shop. Service was friendly and efficient. Will definitely be back!

Neat little store that opened up in Willowbrook. It's kinda like a dollar store, but they have some neat things from overseas. We came after grand opening so there's was no line. It was still busy. The store is small, so a small crowd could seem overwhelming. I just picked up a mini "lego" like set (Unicorn). These pieces were tiny enough for a tweezer, haha.

Target - Waiting on Black Friday 2024 for an order pickup, not too crazy but still a 10 minute wait

Now you can see they are clearly cutting costs with lack of staff members to ensure a quality shopping experience. I have to walk over piles of clothes on the floor to find something that's still on the hanger ( I won't dig through clothing pikes on the floor). Actually, I won't be back to purchase low cost leisure wear anytime in the near future.

I was waiting at that target for quite a while, realizing everybody was leaving before me, and after finally calling that target and finding out that my order was actually placed at the Willowbrook location. I started driving to Willowbrook as I got closer to Willowbrook. I went ahead in the app and said that I was still coming, and when I did that I noticed after they had canceled my order I asked somebody who was outside giving an order to a customer about it. They said that the manager canceled it I was told to go inside to have that order processed mind you I did a curbside pick up for a reason. It's Sunday. Today's the day that I was just lounging in my house doing laundry had no intention to be out in public was not definitely presentable. Kinda look just like a bum today so I go inside. I talk to the first person who tells me that it would take two hours to process the order because I'm explaining to her that I don't have any of my debit cards. I just changed my bank account on Saturday so my Apple Pay is not working properly yet Being that I have no cards. I told her if I could please place the order on the app again because my target card is attached to my app. She keeps telling me it's gonna take two hours although the item is in her hand in a bag I've worked retail before as a courtesy. I feel that they should've went ahead and processed the order for me I then asked for the manager who canceled the order. She comes out with a very arrogant look on her face, seemingly looking like she's talking down to me as there's a crowd of people who probably feel more superior to me just because of how I look compared to everybody around me I'm Hispanic in a community of mostly Caucasian people at a target. It's the year 2025. Let's be real here if I was Caucasian Lexi, this team leader or whoever she is would've put this order through. I kept going back-and-forth with her about how it was unfair that she canceled my order. I told her if I could please place this order again I'm already here. I told her where I just came from. I told her the whole situation I told her if she could please look in the system to see if she has many orders that are that are placed that need to be picked up if I could just place the order I will stick around if it takes a half hour which is what it took from the time that I placed that order to the time that I got the email that it was ready for pick up. It did not take two hours. She looked in the system and told me there's not that many orders. It should take up to two hours again, not trying to be sympathetic or do me any kind of courtesy because she was the one that canceled the order on me. I know she could tell by my face and my voice that I wanted to cry I suffer from anxiety, depression I felt so bad about how she treated me That I'm not gonna just let this go. I am going to make sure to file a complaint against her I've been trying to call the store so I can get a store manager's name and nobody is answering my call. I received notification of my order being ready at 1:49 PM. I checked in at about 152 while waiting there realizing that mistakenly I was at the wrong place. I started heading over to the right location and by 2:23 PM. She canceled my order on me When I had already notated in the app that I was still coming in between that time.

The one attached to the mall feels like a madhouse with the narrow aisles and big shopping carts. This one you have two different size shopping carts and it's more spacious. Parking lot is ample. The products are placed neatly on the shelves vs the other location. I do have to take off a star for customer service. We stood in line for a few minutes and most of the employees were just standing around talking. Only two were actually working. One stopped talking to check us out, by that time the line got longer. It's easier if they just clear the line instead of letting it build up.

First off, anyone with basic common sense knows you only need to scan and the system will tell you if there's another size in the store. She was post-menopausal, and you could just tell. She was highly irritated with my question of whether or not there was another size in ONE garment in a retail store. How obscene it is for me to ask such an unheard-of question. I even told an employee about this terrible experience at the store, and she told me they've been having issues with customer service lately, that employees are becoming rude towards customers. If employees are complaining about their own team, things have already gotten out of control..

We liked the matting and frame selected and figured that it was going to be a nice finished product that we would enjoy and decided to move forward. Two weeks later, we pickup the "finished" prints and get them home to realize one of the textured mattings is running the opposite direction of the others and presented as an entirely different color when in the light. There were also tons of dust/paper particles under the glass. We return them and ask for them to be remade showing the issues. We wait over a week and go to pick them up again. Shockingly, the matting is cut roughly, overcut on the corners and still has tons of debris and dust under the glass. I immediately reject all (4) because they were worse than before. Another week+ goes by and we go to pick them up again. SAME EXACT ISSUES. Mat quality issues (scuffs/rubs), scratches in the acrylic now, debris under glass, etc. We, for the third time, reject them all and ask for a refund and to get our prints back. The woman was incredibly rude, demanded a receipt from us even though they had one on file and was entirely disrespectful to us even though the work was abhorrent. They finally pulled up the receipt and issued the refund but as they were standing 10' away from us removing our prints they were having disgustingly disrespectful and highly unprofessional conversations about us. I am so shocked and appalled to have not only spent that kind of money to receive sub-par work, but to be spoken to and about so disrespectfully for rejecting such embarrassingly bad work. Shameful and would not trust them to do any work and, frankly, the store is filthy and none of the employees are particularly kind or helpful.
