The staff and Dr Lesh are so caring with both pets and people. They get right down to eye level with your pet and treat them like family. I love that this practice isn't part of a chain, so no pressure to upsell you or to things for your pet they don't need. My Husky has a crush on Dr Lesh and would likely ask for her number if he was a human. It's almost embarrassing how much he wants to snuggle with her when he's there. read more

I had been taking my dog to Daisy Lane for almost 10 years. She's suffered with ear problems almost her entire life. For almost 10 years they were never able to properly treat her, every plan they gave us never worked. She started having digestive problems about 6 months ago, just a flare up. The doctor was adamant that I bought this $80 special bag of food to help her stomach, along with some medicine. I ordered it immediately, and had a check up 2 weeks later. They then wanted to switch her to another very expensive giant bag of vegetarian dog food, almost $100, to focus again on her ears when we hadn't even gotten a quarter of the way through the other bag of food they told me to buy. I had enough and went to Carter Veterinary in Carmel, and after ONE visit he found a routine that fixed all of her problems. If I had continued to take my dog to Daisy Lane, we likely would've had to ultimately amputate one of her ears due to the damage and scarring after being mistreated her entire life. I am so disappointed with this clinic and the amount of money I had to spend for no improvement. read more

We've been going to Daisy Lane for a few years and always had great experiences. The staff is friendly, informative, and knows how to manage all types of dogs and cats. Our dog can be a bit rowdy near cats, so her staff know exactly how to keep cats away. We rarely have to wait, but the waiting room is set up like a rectangle and it feels like there aren't as many pets around. We've had both annual visits and a minor surgery at this office. Our prolific digger,"Buck," was bitten by a Brown Recluse Spider last week and Dr. Lesh and hrr staff took wonderful care of him. He is all about going in to see them so he can get his scratches and pets. They get right down to his level and love all over him. For annual check ups, shots, and the sorts about any vet can do it, but, spoiler, not as well as Dr. Lesh, who took over this clinic from Dr. Dietz. We have been taking our cat, Hector to Daisy Lane for over 14 years. In the past it was always pretty much routine, and always got great care for Hector and Spunky in the past, Recently, Hector was very ill and the clinic did all they could do to keep him alive, feeling good, no pain, and the gist of it is, HE's still here and doing well. They put so much of their personal as well as professional care in dealing with Hector, that I think Hector likes them more than us! But, all kidding aside, I would recommend them to anyone with a pet. They will care for it as much as you do. I just don't think I've said enough. read more

I was dogsitting for my parents dog, Lucy. My parents live 3 hours away, so when Lucy needed a vet, I went to Dr. Dietz at Daisy Lane. I've never seen this vet before, but they were still kind enough to get me a same day appointment. They saw me and Lucy promptly before our scheduled time and had us on our way. Everyone was very friendly and took good care of Lucy. I was pleased that they didn't ask to run a bunch of tests. Their fee schedule was reasonable, and Lucy is feeling better! I brought in my beloved 18-year-old cat to Daisy Lane for a gentle euthanasia. She was suffering from bloody nasal congestion, a chronic choking cough, deafness, and incontinence, Dr. Lesh "examined" her for less than a minute and said she was "fine" and would not euthanize her. I was shocked by her attitude and her refusal to help my cat. She said, "Well, we don't euthanize people for incontinence, do we?" Clearly, this is faulty logic. We don't spay or neutral people without their permission either! We are the benevolent caretakers of our pets, and so we owners must make the best choices for their health and comfort. Dr. Lesh's snap judgment of my old cat's declining condition was incomplete and unprofessional, and I found her attitude toward her client, me, who has known and loved this cat for 18 years, patronizing and rigid. I have recently relocated to Indianapolis and had not found a vet for my cats. I noticed my cat Link was having problems urinating. I knew this could be a serious thing for a cat, so based off of other reviews and after looking at their web page, I decided I would give Dr. Dietz a try. The one thing I was hoping for was a vet that would not try to sell me everything they could and was reasonable priced. I called and got an appointment the same day. The staff was very friendly and completely understanding that my cat turns mean when he goes to the doctor. They tried to calm him as much as they could and did the exam in a timely manner, so we could get him back in his carrier. Dr. Dietz suggested somethings we should do, gave us medication and we were on our way. I was shocked how reasonable priced the visit was. The exam fee was $50 and the medication was only $10. Outstanding Veterinarian and staff to care for my pets. The price always seems reasonable and the recommendations have always been spot on. The staff work hard to arrange availability for appointments even if last minute or fairly urgent (in the eyes of a neurotic pet owner....) The only warning is that the Vet is not interested in being warm and fuzzy with the owner, but he loves my pets. They get a kiss then a thorough check up. when our old vet decided to take another career path, we were without. At the time we had one cat (Slater) and two dogs (Millie and Darla). Stater was not doing well and i knew at 17 he was tapping out. Doc's practice is right across the street where the wire works and we gave them a call. They got him in almost immediately. As i suspected we had to put him down. Not the idea first meeting. But, Doc made this as bearable as possible. I could tell right off that this was an office of people that had and loved animals. At that point, I know we had a new Vet. Since then, both of our dogs needed their annual checkups. They both absolutely loved Doc and the rest of the staff. I am a type of person that likes the story straight up and Dr. Dietz has not problem delivering it that way. I can respect that! I love Daisy Lane so much. Dr. Dietz is so down-to-earth, honest, knowledgeable, and kind. I found Daisy Lane when I needed a second opinion after my dog tested positive for heart worm. Another vet wanted to start intensive treatment right away. The treatment was going to be expensive and require that I restrict my dog's exercise for months. Dr. Dietz did another test, and concluded that my dog's heart worm was mild enough that we could treat her by using heart worm preventative each month. I wouldn't have to restrict her exercise, she wouldn't be at any risk, and it wouldn't cost anything extra. When I took her for a check up the following year, she tested negative for heart worm. I am so happy I found Dr. Dietz and Daisy Lane. read more

I'm not sure if he had some costly home repairs or something but I have now switched vets because with my new puppy he gave her more vaccinations than necessary without really consulting me. I just took my 12 year old golden in and doctor Lesh was so great with him. He normally gets really distressed at vets and tries to bite them but he actually seemed to love being there. She didn't try to force me into doing any over priced treatments or anything like that. He has been having seizures and he didn't even notice it when she drew blood or took tissue samples. Bets Vet in town..paws down...Dr. Dietz and his staff are so kind and helpful..I've had other clinics nickel and dime me. The last few times we called Dr. Dietz he allayed our fears and didn't even have us come in...because he's not about money and such...it's about service to him first and foremost. He even gave our kitty a kiss right on the face the last time we were there...this man is incredible and we will only take our cats and dog to him. Environment is fine, receptionist / office manager is very icy and the doctor is blunt and straight forward. They treated my late dog, Calvin, for 14+ years. I took him in for a visit a few weeks prior to his death and the vet prescribed pain pills to help him along to the finish line. Two days before we were to put to him to sleep I called to see if we could get Calvin more meds to help with his pain but the receptionist insisted we need to bring him in for another appointment to do so....?? Even though I brought him in just over a week ago and the diagnosis wasn't going to change, they refused to help my dying dog after 14+ years ! The ice queen didn't care about our loyalty so we haven't returned and won't recommend. Thankfully there are better options. read more

We had a very different experience than the others listed above with Daisy Lane. However, the staff other than Dr. Dietz was very nice and supportive. We had to put our dog down because of high aggression levels as a complete LAST resort. Dr. Dietz walked in the room and asked a few questions pertaining to our dog and then told us to back away from him while he was being put on the table. He immediately (without any warning) started to inject him when my husband stopped him and asked him what he was giving him. He said he was giving him the injection to put him down. My husband asked if we could shut the door because it was wide open and there were other customers right outside the door. He shut the door and injected him. As he did it he said, "Yeah, sometimes life is just a bitch" and then said we could have some time with him. He then walked out. It was the most insensitive situation I could have imagined from someone, especially someone who is supposed to love pets and understand that to their owners, they are family. The whole process from start to finish with Dr. Dietz in the room took less than 5 minutes. The whole situation was terrible because of the loss, but the interaction with Dr. Dietz made it so much worse. read more
