Cute new little Korean fusion restaurant. I loved that they played some christmassy K-pop music videos on a screen on the wall. Makes for a fun atmosphere. The flavor of my chicken sliders was really nice, but they were rather dry, and the little nugget of chicken was way too small for the slider bun, so you've got to take several bites of just bun and coleslaw. All the waitstaff were very helpful and kind. I've heard that their japchae is really great, so I'll have to go back and give that a try. read more

Terrible pot stickers!! They were so hard you might have cracked a tooth eating them. And the garlic sauce was soooo salty you couldn't taste anything else but salt! And it cost $11 for eight of them! I will not go back to try the chicken. Afraid it will be as salty. read more

I want to start off by saying the staff is extremely kind and accommodating! For the food, I got the bulgogi fries, chicken slider, and pork buns. Overall food was very yummy! The bulgogi meat in the fries was so flavorful and juicy. I have small critiques for fries for example, cheese wasn't melted and it was cold (only cheese to be clear). For the pork buns I'm used to the pork belly having more of a char and it was also not as warm as I would have liked. So mainly the food temperature was the issue but again flavor was great. I was so excited to try Dak Good. There is nothing like it in Muskegon. It met my expectations and beyond. You can dine in or carry out. We arrived around 5pm and were seated right away. Everything is clean, modern, and beautiful inside. The decor (neon lights) is so good and gives great vibes. We had diet cokes and my son had a Japanese soda. We ordered quite a bit of food to try. Pork potstickers, soy garlic chicken bao buns, cheese balls, spicy chicken fried rice, buldak, and boneless Korean fried chicken (boneless and drumsticks). Everything had so much flavor and cooked perfectly. If we had to critique something, it would probably be the cheese balls. Compared to everything else, they just had little flavor. They were okay. The Korean fried chicken is phenomenal. We did half spicy and half garlic soy. That chicken is so crispy and so juicy and so flavorful. I don't know how they do it. The Buldak was also insanely good. It is very spicy, but man those rice cakes are perfection. One dish came with coleslaw and one with pickled radish. Both were wonderful and great palette cleansers. I can't wait to try even more food. Our service was great. Smiling faces, lots of drink refills, etc. Dak Good will be a new go-to restaurant for our family. read more

Dak Good is indeed good. I can't speak for the chicken - but - the spicy miso ramen was five star. I'll absolutely be coming back and can't wait to try something else. Restaurant itself is very clean with tons of seating and no issues at all with the service. read more

TL;DR: Not a bad spot but it's unlikely we'd come back. We gave it a shot, but it didn't meet our expectations for food quality (too salty / small wings), price (expensive for what you get), and service (no available dine-in seating, tip kiosk on to-go). Food: 3/5 stars - it was okay, but the wings were way too salty. They were slathered in batter but the actual chicken wing meat was too small so the ratio of batter to wing meat was way off. They would benefit from some additional sauce to cut through the fry grease. Bulgogi fries were decent but they pile on the cheese to hide the fact that there's barely any meat. Price: 2/5 stars - definitely asking for more than I'd typically pay for the quantity and quality of food received. $4.25 for a 16.9 oz bottle of Coke and $12.95 for a bulgogi fry that comes in a plastic tray (think Taco Bell small nachos). Wings were $14.95 (in line with other places) but they were all batter / small wings. Service: 4/5 stars - the staff was nice for the limited interaction we had (ordering / paying / getting our food). They asked if we wanted utensils, and thanked us for our business. As with every POS system these days, they ask for a tip for taking your order. Not going to ding the service because of this but why make "no tip" such a hard task to get to (custom amount / $0.00) when 15-20% is a single button push? Ambiance: 3/5 stars - it felt like Korean fried chicken fast food. Lots of people coming and going with orders, both online and in-person. read more

Complete idiocy asked to sample a sauce and was told it wasn't an option. The sauce had to get on the wings somehow? Right? Other than that the service was excellent and the food tasted amazing. However not being able to sample a sauce tainted the whole experience. read more

We tried almost everything on the menu from the bulgogi to the Bao Buns...yes all 3 and the chicken (soy garlic) and Jap Chae (which is my favorite!) We also went back the next day and had the Bibimbap, again delicious! Amazing food and service! Would definitely go back! Loved it! read more

Pricey and slow to become full service. Price 3/10 Quality 5/10 Service 5/10 pleasant but still no fountain drinks . Place is too pricey . $25 for chicken and white rice with a coke . Bottle of coke ( fountain no operational ) was $4.25 ! Options of pickled cabbage or coleslaw with meal but a rice substitution was $3 extra ( even though all sides are the same price ?!) When I walked in, the place was clean and the service was good. The waitress and her trainee were both very friendly. We ordered the chicken wings, seasoned fries, takoyaki, bulgogi fried rice, and the bulgogi bibimbap. The chicken wings were pricey, crispy, and tender inside. The wings lacked flavor and although I think everyone should try Korean fried chicken because of how different the breading is, I wouldn't order it again unless they had a half off special. The fries were okay the seasoning looked like parmesan fries but just tasted very salty. They however were crispy and stayed crispy. The takoyaki balls... in Asia the mayo, eel sauce, and Bonito flakes are much more plentiful and waaayyy cheaper. These are typically so popular because they are so cheap. Also, I don't know if you van tell by the picture but they were slightly different sizes... I don't know how this is possible if they are making them fresh with batter. The half circle slots in the "grill" that they cook and flip them in, in Asia are all the same size. Way too expensive and stingy with the condiments to purchase again. The bulgogi fried rice was strong in flavor but I thought it was the shinning star of all the items we purchased. The rice was cooked perfect. There was a decent amount of bulgogi in the rice also. If I ever go back, that is what I will get again. Last, the bulgogi bibimbap. It was decent but definitely needed the very sweet hot sauce with it for flavor. By far one of the worst experiences I had. I ordered the Bimbimbap with bulgogi. I was never told that it comes in a hot plate that never cools down until I received my food. I was warned to stir the food or it would burn. I did that the whole time for a few minutes and yet my food burned and my rice was crunchy. I tried to eat it and looks past it but I couldn't do it. I told the manager about it and he tried to justify it and even said most places don't do it this way but they do. A warning would have been nice because I would have either ordered something else or ask for it in a normal plate. Even though I barely ate some of the food because of how pist I was, the best he could do was 50% discount and a coupon for free food. I won't be returning out of principle. Heard great things about Dak Good. Ordering on the app was easy enough. Food was ready quickly and on time. Restaurant layout was nice. Eating area separate from cashier pickup area. Problem was chicken stripe were overcooked and dry. Fried rice was undercooked and hard. Priced are high for Asian takeout. read more
