It's our neighborhood Chinese place. Some items taste better than others, but the owner is kind and hardworking. The price to food ratio is a good value. The store supports the local schools with all the posters hanging up. The food is MSG free. Things that taste good that you should order: crab Rangoon with a side of sweet and sour sauce, seafood combination, garlic chicken, chicken lo'mein, and sesame chicken. Things to avoid: Mongolian beef (not tasty at all), some of the egg rolls break in the oil and don't cook properly, and their sweet and sour chicken is dry with sauce on the side to dip in. I prefer their white rice to their fried rice. This establishment is not updated. It has the same furniture probably since they've opened. Most people get takeout. The best Chinese food I've ever had. I cannot stress how much I love this place! I usually get the Mongolian beef, crab Rangoon and an egg roll. The Mongolian beef is a fair amount of beef in it compared to most places, the onions and whatever else is in it is always cooked perfectly and it's not overly spicy. Each crab Rangoon is very large and tastes amazing. The egg rolls are also large and very delicious. Always crispy and delicious. I highly recommend this place! Not to mention they raised their prices and seem to cut back in the food department. Egg roll was almost hollow! Crab ragoons where more like cream cheese ragoons. I'm trying to figure out this fried rice situation. It's the color of chocolate. That is NOT normal. I don't even understand. Soy sauce is a condiment for dressing a dish to your liking, it should not be a major ingredient. This egg roll tastes either freezer burned or like it has been fried and saved and fried again three days in a row. Even the plum sauce couldn't save it. Fried rice is almost black from soy sauce, the chicken is weird, soggy triangles with a fake texture like chicken nuggets, drenched in very sweet sauce. Unfortunately, this place leaves quite a bit to be desired when it comes to Chinese takeout. I ordered the Sweet n Sour Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, and Crab Rangoons (Crab Cheese). When ordered to go, the Sweet n Sour Chicken comes in a box with the sauce on the side. The chicken itself was the Gordon Food Center boneless chicken wings (like they serve at Buffalo Wild Wings). It wasn't like the typical Sweet n Sour Chicken from the restaurants we all love. No onions, no green peppers, no pineapple...Basically, chicken nuggets in a box. Their 'fried rice' is merely white rice sautéed in far too much soy sauce with very little flavor besides overwhelming saltiness. They only take cash or check, which is a huge inconvenience in this world of plastic. I couldn't even eat my leftovers the next day because the meal was so unappealing. This was the worst chinese food I have ever eaten. The sweet and sour chicken was nothing more than frozen chicken nuggets tossed in a deep fryer with a side of sweet and sour sauce. Chinese sweet and sour chicken is supposed to be tempura battered, but this was not. My husband got the hunan chicken with no spice and he said the sauce was bland and tasteless and all the vegetables were just warmed but uncooked. We eat chinese a lot and this was by far the worst we ever had. We will never go back. If I could rate it a zero, I would. Horrible food. This is probably my favorite steakhouse in town. I love it when the workers nail my rice, which I always order white like my girlfriend. The employees are generally nice, which is a relief from the rude employees who inhabit a nearby McDonalds. As an extra bonus, if you simply order one single crab Rangoon for a meager 85 cents!! Wowza! My one complaint would be the food always arrives so hot that you might as well go to hell to endure similar temperatures. And the place had plenty of customers to make it "appear" as if it was to be delicious by popular demand. Once I had the food in possession I was impressed by the volume given - it felt generous for the price. However, it turned out to be simply a lot of bland and generic cuisine that I would not pay any bargain basement price for.
