The store is clean and the staff are very nice. I like that they will help you cut, clean and dry the fish on the spot. Prices are very good in GG area. They have a cute garden corner at the entrance with flowers and plants. I will definitely shop here more often.

Customer service 5/5. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. I like doing my grocery shopping here. They always have fresh Vietnamese ham at the registers too (:

Came here for dinner hahaha. Fresh catfish. They clean and deep fry it for free. The service was very quick and to the point. Price was really good. We took that fish to a parking lot and devoured it hahahaha

    Receipt dated today.

I tried return it due to defect. The manager Linh refused to let me return it saying that it's not defected. Keep on rambling with in 3 days. Fine..then I just want to return it, which he refused to let me. Clearly the receipt states within 48 hours.

Actually one of the more decent supermarkets. The place is relatively clean and they have pretty good produce. They have a lot of the regular items that we needed and are quite stocked. We didn't interact with many employees, but the ones we did interact with were nice. The parking lot is fairly small, however. There are a good amount of spots, but it's quite packed together. Prices were also very good and not too crazy. Not our first choice, but we'd definitely stop by if we're in the area.

International markets are always fascinating to explore as each store have unexpected and interesting products. This supermarket not only has products from Vietnam but also from different Asia countries such as Thailand, China, Korea, Philippines, etc. so you can shop many things. This place is huge with vegetable/fruit sections, fish sections, meat sections, pottery sections, etc. so I recommend you stop by every one of them to have the true experience. The store is not that fancy and it smells a little bit but it is worth to visit. I haven't had a chance to see or interact with the employees except the cashier but she was very bright and had a great customer service. Seems like the customers were satisfied with their purchase and left happily like I did.

Whenever visiting SoCal, I sometimes drop by here just to check things out for a change in environment from my NorCal Asian markets since we don't have Dalat Supermarket up north. Bought a few little items here/there during all my visits thru the years! The place is kind of nice, cozy, and well-organized. Other than that, don't recall seeing many shoppers or many workers here as I never see the place ever crowded. Felt like a ghost-town instead. Also, a lot of their items seem overpriced to me.

Varieties of Asian food/supply. I like to order their tilapia and fry it right on the spot. Also I love their tofu; fresh and hot.

I love the large selection of chips and other treats you aren't going to find anywhere other than an asian market. I've come across some great snacks I otherwise would never had known even existed. The store is well laid out and easy to navigate and they do a great job of keeping it clean and stocked. I have also never felt like the store is packed, despite plenty of times seeing a packed parking lot outside. Clearly people park outside the market and going to other businesses in the center. Either way, even if you don't know you need something that Lucky Seafood has, it's worth checking out. It's a great casual food shopping experience where you might find a new favorite treat or seasoning or spice.

I noticed other customers approaching staff directly for assistance, so I eventually did the same. The employee behind the counter selected four beautiful salmon steaks for me. However, while packaging them, the bag split open and all four steaks fell onto the floor. The employee quickly picked them up and took them back behind the counter. It appeared that he attempted to rinse them off and package them to sell to me anyway. When he brought them back, I asked, "Didn't those salmon steaks just hit the floor? Could you please get me four new ones?" His response, said quietly under his breath, was, "Oh, you saw that." He then selected four replacement steaks, weighed them, and labeled them for purchase. I was very disappointed that anyone would attempt to sell food that had fallen on the floor. That experience left a very negative impression and made me question the seafood department's food handling practices. The rest of my shopping experience was fine, and the highlight of my visit was one of the restaurants inside the store--a boba and milk tea shop. The service there was excellent, and I had one of the best yogurt and pumpkin milk teas I've ever tasted. That positive experience is the reason I'm giving three stars instead of one. I'll likely avoid purchasing seafood here in the future, but I would definitely return to visit the shops and restaurants inside the store.

At the very least, it has been my favorite chain of Japanese markets, but it stinks how they have just one location in the Bay Area! In fact, across my limited number of trips to SoCal, I've already visited more locations down here than back at home and I have to say - this location may be the newest, but it's also my least favorite one I've been to. Like pretty much every other Mitsuwa I've been to, this location has a cute little food court with a half dozen or so eateries offering a variety of food options - from ramen, udon, and curry rice plates to onigiri, matcha, and Japanese sweets. As for the market, it has all of the usual offerings you would expect - a solid selection of fresh produce, meats, seafood, frozen foods, pantry staples, alcohol, snacks, and sections of prepared foods and sushi to choose from. What's more, as a whole, everything here felt so new and clean (which makes sense in hindsight, as it apparently opened only back in November). With all of that having been said, though, it's weird to me how this place still felt a bit...lacking. While you can find a decent mix of things to eat at their food court, it's pretty much limited to three eateries, so don't be surprised to see lines when it's busy. Also, despite how new it is, the market feels smaller than other Mitsuwas I've been to. That's not inherently bad, but pickings felt relatively slim for certain meats and produce we were looking for, as well as their bento boxes and sushi. Granted, it probably didn't help that we were here on a Sunday and the place was packed with customers, but it's not like we stopped in towards the end of the day either. All in all, while I definitely think there are plenty of positives about this location, I'd be lying if I said I was as impressed with this one as I was by their location in Costa Mesa. It's definitely nice how new it is and I would never be opposed to going to any Mitsuwa, but if I lived out this way, it'd be tough not to know whether I'll be able to get everything I need here or if I'll also need to stop off somewhere else. THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down for now.

Seems to me, it is less crowded than other markets. (If I can avoid crowds, I will). It was Tet New Year season and I needed to get a few ingredients for some dishes I planned to cook. My first priority was the fresh oxtail in the meat department. I have gone to many markets for this cut and it seems this is the best place for a ~2 pound tray of mixed size tails. The fat is all trimmed off, as opposed to other markets that leave a fat layer behind that you are paying for. It also depends on if you prefer leaner tails. Next, the produce section. I picked up some cailan (Chinese broccoli). For the most part, the Asian veggies are pretty fresh - since there is a higher turnover rate of Asian veggies in this area. It was good on this day. So many varieties of green veggies, I love it! The fruit section is also pretty impressive.
