Unfortunately It's out of the way for an Irvine resident, the bakery was the main reason for our stop here, and it was worth it! while browsing around couple of things caught my attention for which I'll have to come back, a box of Hobby chocolate bringing back childhood memories, would be great if they sold individually. while browsing the produce section I noticed they had faggous! which I haven't seen in the US in the last 20 years. Mousi non alcoholic malt was available in both green apple or pomegranate flavors. Mostly products that we had in Jordan growing up and haven't seen or tasted in ages so another visit is a must. Small but mighty. I really wanted to gatekeep this place. They have the freshest produce, yummiest bakery selection too. The best baklava I ever had, Dubai chocolate croissants just became my favorite dessert. Good packaged good selections too, also good price. Had gone to a pho place before and then went to get ice cream down the street from this market but the smell of food crossed our paths and we decided to follow the smell lol, was greeted very nicely with the seller of the shawarmas stand. Lots of people working hard to prepare food and honestly not bad pricing, one large shawarma with a drink for $15 and freshly prepared with love! Didn't regret it at all and have never tried this type of cultural food and honestly it was the best. They let us sample the chicken that they had freshly made and OMG it was so good, perfect seasoning, and perfect flavoring!!!!!!!! Service was amazing as well they treated us so nicely especially as somebody from a different background they basically welcomed us with open arms. We will be coming back! This place claim they have the fresh meat, but that's not true. I got beef kofta and it was the worst meat quality and it wasn't fresh , we got sick after eating it, I don't recommend this place for your meat shopping, customer service need to improve as well . I was excited to see another market open up in Little Arabia. This one looks clean & modern on the outside. The parking lot is small !!! I wouldn't visit this place on the weekend. I went on a late Monday afternoon & the lot was already filled but was lucky to get the last open spot. 10/10 on the ambience - the store is bright, airy & clean ! It felt very nice inside. 3/10 on the variety. This felt like a glorified 7/11. Al tayebat (& even that store is small) has more variety than here. There's about 3 aisles & nothing really caught my eye. I was expecting more product from the Middle East but there's really nothing I can get here than I can't at harvest fresh down the street. 3/10 on the bakery - nothing looked appetizing & I love manaqish ! It seemed like what was made had been sitting out for quite some time just like the pizzas & hot dogs at 7 11. Well the effort is there but sadly don't see myself going here often. Never have I ever had a date croissant until I did here (thinking it was chocolate). It was AMAZING! It had the perfect amount of sweetness. The size is dangerous since they are small it was so hard to resist to eat more. Love that they also have fresh made food to go. The pizza and scallion flatbread were bomb. Why don't more places offer green olives for a pizza topping?? My recommendation if you cannot find someone who speaks English to explain what you are choosing just point and try. Store was bright and friendly with music playing in the parking lot. The bakery looked really good until I saw the bug landing on things and told the guy behind the counter. He didn't care at all and just let the bug land in more things . The cashier gave nooooooooooo dam about and looked at me like I'm crazy for pointing it out. Great market with a wide variety of fresh products and very fair prices. Also, Duraa is really amazing every time I visit the store she is the best.The store is always clean, organized, and easy to shop in. I cannot recommend this market enough. The produce is the freshest you're going to find. Also, the bakery has handmade everything from pita bread to sweets. The smell of the bakery wins you over as soon as you walk in the door. I'm told this is a family business and everyone I encountered as far as employees couldn't have been nicer. Came and parked in front of the market to stop by and get dessert next door and stop in the market afterwards for a quick snack. That was until we got harassed by an employee that was selling food outside that said we couldn't park outside the market unless we were shopping there, which we were planning on doing. He followed us and said only 15 minutes or he was going to have our car towed. I genuinely asked him where the sign was that said we can only park for 15 minutes and he kept avoiding the question. Kinda annoyed because we genuinely wanted to check out the area and market, but we were extremely uncomfortable by the amount of men that were with him that were staring our way as he followed. Well, they are right off of Brookhurst in Anaheim, you really cannot miss them by much. I walked inside and I purchase some fresh cut meats and vegetables. I saw some pizza meat pies like another yelper mentioned. They are FIRE. I purchased some, and the store is nice and clean. The owners are friendly and cool. The portions of manakesh have shrunk by 50% since they first opened, but price is same. The employees are always congretated together talking to each other and ignoring customers.
