    Spicy Thai papaya salad
    Cari A.

Stopped by this location for the first time after seeing reviews on Yelp. I bought some pork rinds and premade dessert from the market. Directly next to the market is where you can order food. Pros: -I ordered a 3 choice combo, papaya salad, and Thai iced coffee which came to under $30.00 -I personally loved their food! Flavorful, spicy, and memorable. -friendly staff -[[HIGHLIGHT]]there was indoor seating, but many folx ordered items to go[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] -free, easy shared parking lot directly in front Cons: -none! Other: -cash only Great option for quick, delicious food.

I had a huge craving for Thai yellow curry and wanted to try making it on my own. I searched for a local Thai market for ingredients and stumbled upon this one. Parking was easy and upon walking into the store, we were greeted by a friendly worker. We described what we wanted to make and she pointed us to all the ingredients we'd need! Prices were decent which is also a plus. The store is attached to a restaurant and their lunch specials looked like a great deal. Will definitely be back!

Salted crab papaya salad with three entrée platter, and Lao's sausage

I've always wanted to try this place because I've seen the reviews and it seems to be a very authentic Thai and Lao's restaurant. Sure enough it was! When you go into the restaurant, a lot of Asian people are eating and ordering at the counter. I ordered the salted crab papaya salad (mild spicy), and their three entrée platter. We chose the catfish, chicken and bamboo curry along with their chicken larb. We also ordered the Lao sausage. Everything was delicious and nothing disappointed. I ordered the salted crab papaya salad mild spicy so my husband can eat it since he does not eat spice. It came spicy! That just means more for me. We ended up taking everything to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But when we were there, there was plenty of seats available if you wanted to dine in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Price was very reasonable for delicious food. Just don't forget to bring cash. Because this is a cash only establishment. If you don't have cash, they have an ATM machine that you can use. I can't wait to go there again.

An efficient, affordable lunch option in Anaheim. I've stopped here for lunch twice and I would come back more if I worked nearby. I ordered a 3 item combo from the hot food bar and I'm usually in and out in less than 5 minutes. The price is really good considering how pricey thai food can get. I can get at least 1.5 meals out of this plate. I loved the beef red curry, the beef was so soft and tender. The labels on the hot food bar seemed a bit mixed up but you can ask what everything is (they may not be too happy to have to explain every dish to you though). The service is not the friendliest but that's not what i'm here for. I think the food tastes more authentic when the service leaves something to be desired.

Some stuff to add to my pantry. Cash only.

Thai - Laos Market is a mini-market that has a restaurant connected to it's store - literally separated by a sliding glass-door. Am a fan of their takeout restaurant next door. The market side has some COOL finds for Thai/Laotian essential cooking needs that one won't find at larger Asian supermarkets; mostly non-perishable items with here and there fresh herbs, snacks, herbal medicine, cooking utensils etc. Service is friendly and parking is available right in front. The only down side is they are : CASH ONLY.

This is a cash only place but they do have an ATM for you can pull out cash. We were craving some Laos food and this place is so incredibly cheap. You can get three items for 10.99. The combinations are endless. There are so many vegetables and meat options. We got the three combo, it came with rice, curry, mint basil chicken and fried pork ribs. It was sooo good. The lady allowed us to eat first and then pay. I'd say my first initial reaction with her wasn't pleasant. I had asked if the beef jerky being displayed was sweet or spicy which is a valid question because I've had sweet and spicy beef jerky even made from thai/lao people. She was confused by the answer and then gave a little attitude. I just brushed it off and ordered our food. I'd say the food needs to come with a little bit bigger rice portion but all the other meat portion is great. Would love to come back when I'm in the area. (Same review by me on Google)

Believe the hype!! Thank you fellow Yelpers and YouTubers for recommending this gem! It's very short and to the point in terms of the choices but the flavors are incredible!! Get the 3 choice combo for sure. We also ordered the papaya salad ala carte. The food was so amazing we ordered the basil beef and a 2 combo to go! The curries and the basil chicken were fantastic. The flavors reminded me of eating in Thailand. No doubt we will be back!

This location is a one stop shop , from grocery store to restaurant this place has got us covered on Asian /East Asian necessities. Lately I have been frequenting this place every time I am in the OC area because of their grocery items and GRANDMAS KITCHEN selection of hot foods. A glance in the kitchen and it's grandma inside cooking. I always opt for 3 items. The rice here is cooked to perfection . and tryna different item each time it's seasonal. From eggplants to catfish to beef this establishment always surprises me . The service is family style. Thank you FAM

    Sell Lao sausage in package?

Yes sour sweet they got it

    Do they carry pandan leaves?

Do they have Bouakham Nam Sausages?

Do they have thai green eggplant?

I don't think so. Their produce selection is limited. The selection may change weeky. Most of their products can be found in chinese and vietnamese supermarkets.

Does this place sell dried spicy catfish crumbles?

Does this market sell coriander root?

No, your best bet is the farmers market. I've gotten them at the Anahiem farmers market on Thursday, north Long Beach (Atlantic Blvd) on Thursday's and I hear the one in Downey has a lot of Asian produce on Saturday . Everything is seasonal so it's…

Does this location still sell the satay seasoning packet that also comes with peanut sauce packet? Made by LOBO

Do you sell unripe green mangoes used for Thai mango salad?

They Sometimes have it. otherwise 99 ranch has it. It's about 5 blocks down the street

All of their kimchi is made fresh just days prior, and they offer a great variety with different vegetables and sizes to choose from. The kimchi I got was really good! super fresh with a nice tangy flavor, well balanced seasoning, and a satisfying crunch. It wasn't very spicy, but still really flavorful and easy to enjoy. After trying their kimchi, I don't think I can go back to store bought kimchi anymore. I was a little worried about the language barrier since I don't speak Korean, but luckily their son works there full time and helped explain the different kimchi and their fermentation process. He was very knowledgeable and patient. It was really nice supporting a family business, and you can tell there is a lot of care and tradition behind their kimchi. We picked up two jars. The red kimchi is $15 and tastes just like the kimchi you get at a good Korean BBQ restaurant. It is very flavorful and pairs perfectly with grilled meat. Add some KBBQ, a fried egg, and rice and you have a great meal. The white kimchi is $19 and is lighter and refreshing. I enjoy pairing it with pork belly wraps because it balances the richness of the meat really well. It almost feels like a palate cleanser between bites. Both were absolutely delicious. Once I finish these jars, I will definitely be making the drive back again.
