Tenoch and his team provide high quality work and service. SVW created custom cabinetry that completely uplifted the feeling of our kitchen. We liked the layout of the kitchen prior to renovating, but the oak cabinets stole the light from the area and made it feel smaller. We decided to go with white cabinets and a white and grey quartz countertop to maximize how bright the area felt. We also removed the hanging cabinet and light box to create a more open appeal to the room. The quality of the work is great! The cabinets are beautiful, and the countertops match exactly what I wanted. All along the way, Tenoch was available and transparent. Where inevitable delays happened, he made sure to communicate what, why, and when to expect things to come in and resume. We're stoked at how the kitchen came out and highly recommend SVW. This is hard for me to post as I really liked Tenoch. We hired Tenoch to design and build an all new kitchen. The only reason I gave him 2 stars instead of 1 was because he did a good job at the design portion and helped our vision come to reality. Now let's get down to why I'm giving him 1star. Tenoch does shoddy work at best. The paint job of new cabinets was absolutely HORRIBLE, as you can see from the pictures. Within two months the paint started peeling off. Where the seams of cabinets come together, white started showing through. I understand that there is settling that occurs but he should have thought ahead and maybe painted the cabinet boxes as well. We have had handles come loose, and hinges fall off. There were little ding marks that he claimed other sub-contractors created, but told us he would come by after all work was done, to do some patchwork. Well that NEVER happened. The other issue with Tenoch is he is horrible at following through, we had so many times where our texts and phone calls would go days without response. We paid A LOT of money for our new cabinets and it breaks my heart every time I go into our kitchen and see all the mistakes Tenoch made. Best thing that came from him is he recommended our general contractor Fernando, who owns E F Home Restoration's. Fernando and his subcontractors did an AMAZING Job. read more

I bought a track home that came with these horrible cabinets band hinges. They had no space nor was it accessible do to chispa specifications so I called SVW Design to help make these lame cabinets more practical and they did not disappoint! Thank you SVW Design for making the corner cabinets more accessible and spacious along with the drawers by making the bottom drawer deep enough to store my wife's Tupperware. read more

As of today our cabinets have still not been finished. He has been coming once a week to work on them for about 2-4 hours any time he comes. He has measured some of the doors and drawers wrong which has extended the time frame. We also have our bathroom drawers and doors whose cabinet was commissioned 3 years ago that we still don't have. While Tenoch is a nice it's been an extremely lengthy frustrating process. Between all the errors the lack of communication and the fact that he's given us work that is different than what we agreed we are extremely disappointed. read more

Not a custom cabinet maker. They make the cabinet frames but that is where the customization stops. Drawers are prefabricated and ordered from a supplier. Cabinet fronts as well. Screw holes evident everywhere as well as gabs between cabinet seems. Slides are plastic and bottom of drawers are very thin laminate. Store bought pre made Home Depot cabinets are a much higher quality than what this company "custom" makes. I would strongly caution using this company and get detailed renderings and materials proposed. Half of the items we requested were never ordered. I finally had to stop his crew from any further work and higher a true professional installer and cabinet maker. read more

This was easily the WORST experience I have ever had hiring someone to help me out with home renovations. To begin, it took from the end of July '22 to the second week of November '22 for Tenoch and his crew to finish installing cabinets and counters in my kitchen. There was a period of over a week where I could not even get him to return my texts or phone calls. The reason he gave was that he had COVID, but that still doesn't explain the inability to even return a text. Furthermore, the quality of work is questionable (at best). I've had to have him come back out at least three times to fix something that was measured or otherwise done incorrectly. The quality of the counter installation was so bad that I had to ask for a total refund. To his credit, Tenoch agreed to this. However, he still has not actually refunded the money (he agreed to the refund over a month ago). It gets worse: We just realized that we cannot open the dishwasher because it hits the range, which is a result of (surprise!) poor measurements. There is much more that I cannot get into without turning this (already lengthy) review into a novel. This was just an overall awful experience with a dishonest and irresponsible installer. UPDATE: As we finally begin to put our kitchen back together, we are finding more issues. We've found chewed up edges on wood that was used on the interior of the cabinets, a sagging cabinet that looks awful, and more. Our instructions were clear and simple: We wanted the layout and dimensions to be exactly the same as before. This did not happen. We lost a deep drawer that used to hold pots and pans; now it is two medium-sized drawers. Cabinets have shrunk (and not just a little). My counters are not the same dimensions, so we have lost our bar. I have contractors helping us fix some of these issues, and they are genuinely perplexed by the low quality of work from SVW. Also, I still have not received the aforementioned refund. read more

In the beginning Tenoche was very responsive, once he got my business his communication was very bad. There were some things on the cabinets that I wasn't pleased with. One drawer in the bathroom was falling off when you opened it and they fixed it. I opened it and it's broken again we haven't even moved in the house yet. read more

Tenoch provides wonderful customer service! I found him on Yelp and got a quote for a small job, to add one cabinet door and built in garbage can into our existing cabinets. He made it match perfectly! Tenoch was very polite and treated the job as if I was a big client. He was punctual, flexible, and just plain nice. He even didn't mind my toddler asking him questions as he worked. He communicated well with me and let me know when an ordered part was broken and that it would take a bit longer. We did have to send the cabinet back 1x to get re-stained because it didn't initially match but after that it was perfect. I would definitely use him again and recommend him to friends. We are remodeling our kitchen & hired Tenoch from SVW to do our cabinets. We replaced the upper cabinets with new ones & had the lower cabinets refinished in a new color. Tenoch did a GREAT job. The cabinets look tremendous & the new color helps brighten up the kitchen. I've never remodeled a kitchen & Tenoch was excellent to work with.
