I did not like the chicken at all. I had Henny boneless which was not good at all. And I had the sticky boneless which was better than the Henny boneless but not by much. Anytime I am home (NJ) I must hop across the GWB to grab a frozen drink and wings at BBQs because there literally is no place like it outside of NYC. We all know we aren't talking about upscale fancy dining or authentic Texas style BBQ ... but what we are talking about is massive out of this world frozen drinks (which there is always a new drink anytime I visit) along with massive chicken wings! Their frozen drink of the month was a Grey Goose Lychee mashup and after the server allowed us to taste it we knew it's what we had to get ... and I literally sounded like a kid screaming with surprise and delight when I saw the server carrying the drinks because I had no idea the presentation would be so fly!!! One drink was all we needed because we of course went "Texas Sized" with extra shots in them ... and the wings were slamming as usual, so much so that I didn't even take pics of them! We had leftovers because as I mentioned the wings are massive and a small order comes with 5 full wings. OH and our server Manny was AWESOME! My research lab works in the same building as this restaurant so we frequently come here for drinks after work. Would I come to this restaurant for any other reason? No lol but I really appreciate that this place exists. They have some really funky drinks and appetizers to enjoy with good company. I have fun when I come here mostly because of the people I go with. Pina coladas are good and the crispy shrimp is actually pretty good too, skip the fries and chicken tenders. Service is pretty good too, I'm honestly surprised that they haven't kicked out our group before since we rarely get real food and just get drinks and apps haha. Dallas BBQ is in a convenient location right near Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Washington Heights. I find myself ordering from here when I am visiting friends. I typically order the half chicken with yellow rice combo. The portion sizes are large and the food is packed with flavor. The best part of my meal is the cornbread. It comes freshly baked, warm, and delicious. I would just the order the cornbread here every day if i could. When I am dining in the service has been good. With everything going on with the pandemic I expected some delays. The Bulldog drinks here are very strong and worth the cost. I went on Saturday May 7th 2022 after a few years and I was very disappointed. Starting from the waiting area which is dirty to the Couch which is straight up DISGUSTING. This took away my appetite. The only decent thing was the margarita and it was a bit weak. I think this place doesn't have a manager or doesn't care about it cause keeping a restaurant cleaning with a fresh coat of paint and the couches in good condition doesn't take or cost much. Yesterday I was searching for a restaurant where I could sit outside and enjoy a relaxing lunch and while there are many takeout places near the Columbia Presbyterian hospital complex, there weren't many options for outdoor seating. I was about to give up when I saw a familiar restaurant: Dallas BBQ near the corner of Broadway and 166th Street. I've eaten at there other locations and have always been impressed with the consistency of their cooking and their surprisingly reasonable prices. First time coming to this location I met up with a friend. I've been to Dallas BBQ so I knew what to expect. I ordered the early bird special with the half chicken and got a blue Hawaii drink. The amount of food they gave me was unbelievable. I never recalled them giving me so much proportions. I couldn't even finish it all. The drink was good, definitely got a tiny buzz. My friend just got the salad and chicken soup because her diet is restricted based on a surgery she had done weeks ago but she had no complaints. Service was okay, the waitress messed up on my friends order but she made up for it by being attentive to us. They now give complimentary brownie dessert which is new to me and they were okay. I ordered take out from this restaurant this past Friday, after a long day of work and travel around the city by public transportation. So, I was looking forward to this meal. I was so disappointed, for a number of reasons. As I waited for my meal, I noticed another customer check her order by handling what looked like several fried chicken wings, while she told the cashier that she wanted to do an "exchange"--meaning she wanted the cashier to give her new chicken wings for the ones she had handled. But then, while my order came, the cashier seemed to have complied, with the other customer. I was astonished, but took my order home hoping my meal would be at least satisfactory. It was not. The BBQ'd chicken and the so-called baby-back ribs, were awful. A salad and corn bread accompanied the BBQ, was the best thing about the meal, for which I paid $23.00. Dallas BBQ is one of my favorite "Piña Colada" places. Every time I am craving a Piña Colada and some wings, we come here. I have tried a few of their Piña Colada variations but to me, the best one is the Henney Colada. It comes with a shot of Henney on the tube that you can choose to drink as an actual shot, or add it to your drink if preferable. Since I'm a little chicken, I always add it to my drink. Can't afford to get drunk and make others too happy with my happy mood, usually keep it for special occasions. I have been to the location on Fordham Road and the one in Times Square but find this one to offer better service and to be less crowded. Our usual server/waitress Maria usually gives the best of her and provides excellent service. In addition to my usual order of Henney Colada, I ALWAYS eat Sticky Wings. First, I love chicken wings. Second, the sticky sauce has something in it that makes it addictive. It's honestly, very very very delicious. One serve of 10 sticky wings (either with bones or boneless) is more than enough for two people to eat, get completely full (muy jarto or timbí in "Dominican" Spanish) and also have some leftovers for breakfast. read more

Food is pretty low tier but service was amazing. My friend and I shared the ribs and chicken combo and while the chicken was okay, the ribs were super dry with little meat on the bones. The cornbread was also extremely dry. The side of baked potato was literally just a potato straight up and they only give a little cup of sour cream for you to use, no other baked potato toppings. Our other friends were deciding on drinks though and bc they were indecisive, the server offered samples of various drinks to help them figure out what they wanted, which is nearly unheard of and very nice of them to do. They performed admirably during the pandemic. I walked right up to hostess who ushered me to my seat. I was fortunate enough to snag an outdoor table with great views overlooking Broadway. Social distancing protocols were in place giving customers ample room and space apart from other patrons. I ordered a burger with a side of fries along with a piña colada. It arrived within ten minutes which is faster than my previous visits. This was perhaps due to a cap on the amount of people allowed inside at a particular time. The burger was very tasty. It included tomatoes and cheese which were delicious and made the meal very filling. The pineapple used for the piña colada was fresh and sweet. My niece and I went here this past weekend and OMG!!! 1. There was a thin piece of rope or hard string in my tempura vegetables that I returned and refused a replacement. 2. There was a weird sour flavor 1/2 way into my salad bowl. 3. The fried cod fish had a oil and old taste. I couldn't eat that either. 4. The tsunami had way too much syrup. 5.
