I found a boat last week that I liked . I knew it wouldn't last long but I wanted to have a pre buy inspection done first and needed it quick . I called DALLAS BOAT SERVICE and explained my situation. They agreed to squeeze me in the next day ! I met the boat owner there the next day hoping it would pass inspection and arranged to have a full annual service done should it pass. Much to my delight , not only did it pass but the inspector ( and shop owner ) said it didn't need any service and that it's good to go ! Wow , that's honesty for you. Additionally, after I concluded the purchase of the boat I picked up the boat from the Dallas Boat Service yard which they graciously let me keep in their boat yard . I discovered the trailer light plug did not match my truck . Again , the shop owner went above and beyond and gave me the right adapter and even hooked it up for me. I can't recommend this shop enough ! The owner and his wife are so nice and helpful ! This will be my go to for all my future boat service needs ! read more

Horrible scam artist. He lies about the issue and then puts your boat aside for months (in my case over a year). Once it's finally ready it's still having the same exact issue. Total and utter crooks. Do not do business with Dallas Boat Service LLC. - The nightmare started when I called Dallas Boat Service for an oil change. They upsold me to Winterization which okay, fine. Then sold me on other things. My boat ran great prior to these changes by the way. I said okay it made sense at the time. I paid around a thousand dollars after all was said and done. When it came time to take the family out on the lake, my boat smoked, would not accelerate and it was riding rough. I called and explained to John and Rachel. They basically scoffed at the idea that they did something wrong but finally agreed to come out and look. Not only did they not show up but they called and said that nobody was at home and that they went into my garage ( while I apparently was not home ) and took a look at my boat and decided they couldn't do anything that day because I didn't have it in my driveway. They basically drove straight to my garage is my guess and then took off. They then texted and said if they come out again that they'd charge a fee for coming out. I was infuriated and left a bad comment on one of these rating sites. Not only had they broken my boat but now they're lying to me about knocking on my door, etc. Long story short.. I wrote a negative review.. once they saw the negative review they tried billing me 189.00 for coming out when they didn't. These people are scam artists. I have reported this company to the better business bureau and will be pursuing legal advice about their fraudulent charge. read more

I highly suggest to not do business with Dallas Boat Service. They had my boat for six weeks, where they were unable to fully winterize the boat and provide me with 3 simple estimates on trailer parts. I tried to hang in there as I really needed the work done. But, as you will see below, it came to an unexpected end. Here are some of the disappointing experiences and warnings to think about while you decide to be a customer or not: 1. Ask how long the work/estimate will take so you are not surprised but still expect delays. 2. Poor communication (slow at returning calls/text and mixed messages on status) 3. Received an estimate that was incomplete and contained incorrect cost information. A revised estimate was finally shared and as cost went up substantially, I asked to remove some of the parts. I was told that was fine, but then the owner called back angrily telling me to come get my boat and that there will be no charge. I was accused of dragging this out by changing the estimate. Who dragged this out for weeks and could not get the estimate right in the first place? 4. Damage to the boat as the motor cover now has a chip and scratches in the paint. Had the absolute WORST experience with Dallas Boat Service. I have never experienced such extreme lack of communication and unprofessionalism. The entire experience was absolutely unacceptable. They kept telling us our quote was almost ready for about 2 weeks, then completely stopped returning calls or texts altogether. We tried for days to get ahold of them and were essentially ghosted. After 2.5 weeks we finally had to go pick our boat up and they hadn't done anything. Extremely frustrated and disappointed with the whole experience. This business is a total SCAM they do not know anything about fixing boats. Their whole business model is up sell, upsell and more upsell. They mess up more on a boat than they fix. Dallas Boat service has been servicing our boat for the past 3 years and we absolutely love them! They are incredibly responsive, provide SUPERIOR customer service, and do excellent work on our older boat! Additionally, this is  the boat team you need in your corner when something goes wrong. We've only had one 'on the water' issue happen, and they made what should have been a very stressful situation easy. They truly go above and beyond to help their loyal clients and give us peace of mind so we can focus on enjoying our time out on the lake. John and Rachel from Dallas Boat Service saw me having car trouble in front of my daughter 's house in Little Elm. I've been having issues with the battery terminal on my car being loose and I couldn't get it tight enough so every time I drove it I didn't know if it would crank back up. So I was out there trying to tighten the terminal bolts up after putting a terminal post shim on it and it had crunk up but after I turned the motor off it wouldn't crank back up because the bolts weren't tight enough. Then John and Rachel came down the street, asked me if I needed help? Of course I said yes lol! So they gave me a jumpstart, John checked my battery and alternator to see if they were working ok. He then tightened up all the bolts and told me to drive it around the block. I drove to the store and I was scared to turn it off, lol, because I was scared it wouldn't start, so I left it running, ran into the store, and made it back to my daughter's house. I turned it off and it started! And with all the cables and bolts being good and tight! You guys the car ran like it did when I bought it 10 years ago brand knew! I was so grateful Dallas Boat Service helped me out! John and Rachel were so kind and helpful and they really made my day! I proudly give their business 5 stars!
