Just visited El Centro this week to get everything going with my Application Process and start getting registered for some classes. The Registration office was quick, efficient, and while not all that friendly, the girl helping me still answered my questions politely. With so much traffic in that office I imagine it's a stressful position to hold. I was impressed by the quick in/out I was able to accomplish with the semester starting so soon. The advising office had an hour wait, about what I expected. They had buzzers (like when you wait for a table at restaurants) that I feel are super efficient for them. The advisor I met with wasn't all that great but I do come from a University where I had the same advisor for 4 years that I loved. The El Centro advisor was able to help me get into the classes I wanted right on the spot, and thoroughly explained the program I was interested in to me. I'm looking forward to my classes and will have to do review updates as I go along!

I'm a student here and I like this place. The downtown bums don't bother you too much and the place is usually pretty clean.

I just recently found out that during the Fall and Spring semesters the culinary department offers a 4-course meal to the public for only $12.

I would not recommend the LMRT program at the CHCP Dallas location to anyone. The program here is…read moreunstructured, unorganized, and deeply unprofessional. There is little to no empathy for students, and communication is poor across the board. If you're considering CHCP, I strongly urge you to look into the Fort Worth campus instead. While both campuses share the same school name, they operate completely differently. After completing 10 modules in Dallas, I transferred and completed Module 11 (Cert Review) at the Fort Worth location -- and it was the best decision I made. I was even allowed to audit the class for a month beforehand. I felt fully supported, well-prepared, and passed Cert Review on my first attempt. Unfortunately, the Dallas location came with a lot of unnecessary stress and poor leadership. The most difficult part was dealing with Lakeisa Cumberbatch, the Education Director. Her tone (I had her on speaker phone in front of FT worth location to confirm if the transfer process had been completed, they were able to hear her nasty tone of voice and unprofessionalism), attitude, and demeanor are unprofessional and unapproachable. Instead of supporting students, she's often quick to shift blame onto them. When I asked her during Mod 6 about transferring and the differences between the Dallas and Fort Worth campuses, she dismissed me entirely and told me there was "no difference." That was completely false. Once I visited Fort Worth for myself, I discovered: *    Their Cert Review passing rate is in the 90's. *    It's the largest LMRT program across all CHCP locations *    X-ray equipment is available in every classroom *    They offer real tutoring and academic support *    They do not schedule your state exam until you've completed Cert Review, they also provide a limited license for you in case you do not pass the state exam on your first attempt. The contrast between campuses was eye-opening. The Fort Worth team genuinely cares about student success and provides the structure and resources needed to succeed. If you're considering this program and want more honest insight do not waste $25,000 at the Dallas location -- it's not worth the frustration or lack of support. *watch them try to flood the reviews with their medical assistant students lol*

Very rude. Staff is very uncarrying . Charge you for their mistake. Wouldn't suggest to anyone.read more

I wouldn't recommend this institution because I don't know exactly what the financial aid covers,…read morebut it definitely doesn't include books. Every book I needed, I had to purchase with my own funds. Online classes are one month at a time, and my professor waits until the last minute to input grades. The Brightspace platform is difficult to access (they don't use Canvas), and there are no online books for the classes either. Additionally, Amazon takes about 2-3 weeks to deliver the books. After this semester, I plan on transferring. Update: After talking to Amber from Student Affairs, grades from previous classes are now available to view. Ms. Ragsdale is much better than my last professor. She communicates well, and there have been several occasions where I emailed her, and she responded the same day or the next day. She also inputs grades on time.

I seriously had to laugh at the review about Parker being for "straight" chiropractic because when…read moreI was there, it was all about "mixing" and "medipractic" and playing the insurance game. I do agree about Irving though as that was where I did my internship. IMHO, Dr. Parker would be rolling over in his grave if he knew what is going on at the school he founded. I had a great experience because of some pretty amazing instructors and passed all my boards the first time. I also made lifelong friends. Unfortunately, Parker got rid of most of the instructors that I had so cannot provide any feedback on current instructors. I usually recommend Sherman though if you want to become a DC. And, make sure that you love the business side or have a strong business background or can hire good staff because that's what burnt me out. I retired my license last year because even though I loved adjusting, I hated the business aspect. If I had it to do all over, would I? No. If I could time travel and talk to myself before starting at Parker in 2006, I would say, "Self, don't do it... " And, sell the house in Galveston while you can before 2008!
