Not only does he make himself and his company look good but he's making me look good for knowing such a consummate professional who will rush out to save the day for so many people. I called these guys when my downstairs AC stopped working last year. I thought for sure I would have to replace the entire unit, but with school starting soon, that wasn't really in the budget. However, it was 110 degrees out, so I did what was necessary. I called Dallas Cool Air. They had someone to my house in less than an hour. The repairman was professional, knowledgeable, and most of all honest! My compressor had died, and of course, the make/model I had wasn't readily available anymore. I began to envision months of Ramen in our future.... Instead, Terry made a few phone calls & managed to locate a [new] replacement compressor!! He then proceeded to explain a number of my options and provided pro's and con's for each. He took the time to answer my questions, and he made recommendations without giving me a sales pitch. In fact, he suggested the least expensive option!?!? It was such a refreshing change! I've dealt with other AC repair companies whose only goal is to sell you the most expensive thing they can find. Terry returned in less than an hour with the parts & had cold air pouring from the vents in no time. He also checked my other unit while he was here & made some suggestions that have been saving me quite a bit on my electric bill. Of course, that's nothing compared to the **thousands** he saved me by being creative & resourceful. In the last nine months, I've recommended Dallas Cool Air to several friends & family members. Honest, hardworking and professional! We called Dallas Cool Air after having a different company come out and tell us we needed a complete new system. Terry came out within a few hours of calling him. He checked every single part of our system down to the screws in the thermostat. He explained the problems in the unit and quoted a very reasonable price to fix the issues. He did not pressure is into purchasing anything additional. He was knowledgeable and detailed and showed me everything he was fixing and how those parts of the system worked. These days it's hard to find honest people who truly want to help and not just scam you, but Terry was genuinely kind and wanted to help as much as he could. Unbelievable. Threatening and harassing text and a response filled with lies. This guy did all the work listed above with out a permit (required) and when I called him out on it he lied to the city of Red Oak when getting the permit telling them he had not done the work yet. If he had been honest with them the would have doubled the permit fee. Which he paid $50 for and is now trying to bill me $220. Good luck if you choose to go with him. read more
