Overall, a very good experience. We had about 20 people over for Thanksgiving this year and rented 3 x 60" round tables, and 20 padded metal chairs. The pricing was competitive, they delivered the day before and picked up the day after. The only thing that could have been improved was better coordination regarding pickup times and requirements (e.g. two hour window or a phone call). But considering out "order" was small, it was not an issue. I'll definitely use them again for a future event. read more

This is the worst rental experience I have had and I host parties frequently. They required payment upfront. Provided a discount but later didn't honor. They showed up 2 hours before the event to install a suspension tent, 10 tables, and 100 chairs. Did not show up in the window the gave but after. And they shouldn't have set that window anyway as it was too close. My guests had to set up the tables and chairs in church clothes and heels. Threatened to leave without providing the services I had already paid for and the list goes on and on. They have horrible customer service and are extremely rude. Run don't walk from this one. HORRIBLE experience/company to deal with- only giving one star because I have to. I rented an aisle runner for a wedding as a last minute replacement and it was "delivered" to my home, left on the porch rolled up with no covering. When we rolled it out at the venue, there was a large crease in the center of it that prevented it from laying flat and it was also dirty. I didn't have time to replace it and after the wedding, contacted the company to ask for a partial refund because of the condition of the runner. (I felt I was being generous in not asking for a complete refund because they did deliver and pick it up.) I've never heard a word back from them- completely and utterly unprofessional! read more

TOTALLY UN-SATISFIED WITH THIS COMPANY. The one star is for deivery and pickup of the margarita machine. Product did not work, PERIOD! Called several times on day of event: folks presumably representing the company need customer service training. I'll rank those telephone exchanges zero to nothing. I did get a, " we wiil refund" statement from one of the phone conversations. Yeah, you knew it was coming - after a week of not hearing from them, I called the listed number and the "receptionist" didn't have a clue of my situation and stated there is no one there for me to talk to further. Requested a foam machine with a 10ft foam pit. The "pit" came as a toddler blow up pool from Walmart. I wanted to cancel the entire machine since this was for a school function. They would not reimburse me for the foam machine rental but just for the $25 dollar pool fee. read more

This so called rental service has absolutely no professional curtesy. Their moto is "My way or the high way". Will not keep the shop open by saying appointment only, then again they keep saying we are business and maintain business hours where as there is no one in the office in the actual business hour. The owner is extremely rude, she has absolutely ZERO customer service skill. No wonder these idiots have such a low yelp rating, except for one rating from their own employee. Horrible, horrible, horrible experience with this company. If Yelp had allowed me to give them no stars thats what I would have left instead of the 1 star. We have about 4 parties a year where we need hire a party rental company to supply tables, wine glasses etc. For our party on Friday night we thought we would try out a different company and it turned out to be a HUGE mistake. For this particular party we had rented 3 heaters, a couple of tables, and some wine glasses. All went well up until the day of delivery. They were supposed to deliver at 3:00 PM when someone would be home - they instead showed up at 10:45 AM and no one was home to direct them. The delivery guy called me to let me know that they were there and I told him where in the back yard to set the items. When I got home he had placed the heaters and the glasses in the correct spot just behind the gate but took it upon himself to put the tables in the cabana tracking mud throughout the interior of the cabana. Later on that night as it got chillier we decided to turn on the heaters (at about 9 PM). Out of the 3 heaters we rented only 1 worked. I paid extra to have them provide the propane and both tanks were empty. We suffered through the night and spent more time inside than outside as a result of the bad heaters. When I called the next AM the gentleman that answered the phone was unhelpful and basically stated that because I didn't call the night before it was my fault and nothing he could do. He was extremely rude and at that point I asked for the owner to which he answered that he WAS the owner. he told me it was clearly stated in the paperwork that if there were any issues to call in the day of. Feeling frustrated that he wouldn't refund the money for the 2 heaters or even offer me a credit/discount that could be used in the future I got off of the phone and checked the paperwork that had been emailed over to me and there was NOTHING in the paperwork stating you must call in the day of to report an issue. once I read through everything I contacted the company again to let them know that I was never informed of this and it was no where in the paper work and the owner's response was "well, that"s our policy. Not sure why is't not in the paperwork?). When I hung up with him I called my credit card company and am disputing the charge and it taken off. The other odd thing is that this company goes by 2 different names: Dallas Event Rentals and C&E event rentals. Not usually one to leave online reviews but I did not have a positive experience with this small business and felt compelled to contribute. To make things simple: I ordered 3 patio heaters for a baby shower - 2 operated correctly and 1 did not. I assumed that getting a refund for the heater that malfunctioned would be no problem but I was wrong. When the crew arrived, they tested the heater and by God it worked. Therefore, they had met there contractual obligation to deliver a working product and the transaction was valid. I can't argue with that; however, I do recall the heater not working just hours earlier while standing in the cold. I got the runaround from every employee until a partial refund was offered but not accepted. I'm not disputing charges because they have a policy that requires a customer to leave a voice mail reporting all malfunctions during the event. This is a great policy to protect short-term, one time sales but guarantees that any customer that has a problem with service (may happen in a service business) will not be a repeat customer. Next time, I'll pay a premium to use an established company that believes the customer is always right. read more

Totally unprofessional company. The staff here broke one of our vases when they were setting up their chairs. Their staff immediately told me about it and were very nice and said to contact their owner about paying for the broken vase. I have emailed and called and they have been very rude and unprofessional. So far, they have refused to reimburse us for our vase. read more

Rented a margarita machine for a party. I have confirmed in a email that they would be there between 11a-1p. I called at 10 til 1 and the lady said she had me down for 12-2p. I said OK not a big deal, the party isn't until 4pm. At 2pm they still hadn't shown up. I called and they said they were running behind due to the rain we had that morning... they said the machine would be there in 35 minutes. AN HOUR later we were finally able to get a hold of the merchant and he said his delivery guys were at coit and PGBT. 45 minutes from my home. and my party started in half and hour. plus it would have taken the machine and hour and a half to freeze. I requested a full refund but still wanted the machine. I was hung up on. Not to mention we had to use two different phone numbers for this man to pick up the phone. He was ignoring our calls when he recognized the number! Finally on a third phone number the man answers and says he has re-routed his delivery and he is sorry but we were out of luck but he would get us the refund. BBB rates this company D-. I wish I had known this! We had such a bad experience. I am moved to write a review to save others in my position from having to deal with them . We rented chairs, tables and drink tubs for my daughter's graduation party. I was quoted $190 just for delivery and pick up. (The rental items are priced separately) I knew the delivery price was steep but it seemed worth it to have a set delivery time. They charged my credit card 4 days before our event and we signed an agreement of 4:30pm delivery and 11:00pm pick-up. We all arrived at our venue at 4:30pm, including our D.J., Caterer, and friends to help set up the chairs and tables. Dallas Event Rentals didn't show up. We kept waiting and at 4:45pm, I called but no one answered. About 5 mins. later, their delivery guy called and asked where to park. The first table he unloaded was broken. My husband tried to stand it up and it collapsed on him. The delivery guy suggested propping it up against a wall but it fell again. We refused to accept it because we felt it was dangerous. He didn't apologize or offer to bring us another table. Then one of the drink tubs was rusty. The bottom was so corroded that it leaked during the entire party. Our scheduled pick up time was 11:00pm but the driver showed up at 10:30pm. Amazing that he could make it early to pick up the rentals yet couldn't arrive on time to deliver, when it really counted. I never received a call or apology from the company so on Monday, I emailed the director Sandra. Her response was #1. they had some new employees working that day #2. no one was in the office on Saturday afternoon to take calls #3 it's too hard for them to deliver without a 2 hour window. She said all she could do was offer us 10% off a future rental and a $35 refund. I did not feel this was fair and I never received the refund so I called and she was very rude on the phone. I asked for a reimbursement for the delivery only. She accused me of trying to get a refund because I spent too much on my party...unbelievable! Reliable and the best price! I was on the planning committee for a large professional party, and we rented a dance floor from Dallas Event Rentals. The party took place on 12/7/13 during the huge ice storm. Dallas Event Rentals not only braved the weather, but they kept in contact, were reliable, and professional, and our guests danced the night away on the dance floor, which was clean and nice and properly set up. Also, I did a lot of research on price, and Dallas Event Rentals has the best prices! read more

Dallas Event Rentals in Richardson was very professional and had exactly what we needed. I rented a 12 by 12 dance floor and some folding chairs for my wedding reception this past weekend. They allowed me to pick it up a day early and return it on a Monday. So we had it from Friday to Monday at no extra charge. If I ever have another event, I will contact them for sure. read more

The lady who handles customer transactions is RUDE & has NO consideration for customer satisfaction. I spoke with her several times on the phone and each time she was short, unhelpful, unwilling to provide information and very rude. I received a contract that stated that the equipment would arrive "before 5:00 pm". The equipment I rented arrived 10 minutes prior to my event (6:50pm) which was very unprofessional because it was being setup in front of my client's guests. The system was expensive to rent but very low quality. It was very dated and worn. Please find another business to rent from because this one is as bad as it gets. I decided to try out this place because they are right around the corner from my home. First impression when I walked into their office was that they did not want my business. Staff is not friendly, nevertheless I decided to give them a try. I rented a margarita machine, tables and chairs. I thought the prices were reasonable and the delivery fee was only $25. I gave them the date needed and an email address as my contract would be emailed later that day(which I never got) as well as half of the payment. A week later a get a call to confirm delivery only problem my order was not for another week. No big deal, they were able to secure for the correct day. Well good thing I check my bank acct because my credit was charged for the remanding of the balance. I called the office and they told me that my card had not been charged! So I took my bank statement to show them, otherwise they would have charged me again. The items were delivered on the correct date, but they were very dirty. I had to scrub the chairs and rinse the margarita machine. The bottle of margarita mix was broken and sticky all over. I have to say that I will not be using or recommending their services in the future. I would much rather give my business to a more organized, friendlier and cleaner company, even if it means I have to pay more. read more

I recently utilized Dallas Events Rental for a party and am still amazed at the lack of customer service I was rendered. Upon establishing the contract I asked for delivery to be at 6 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2014. At 4:30 I received a phone call stating that they were at the establishment delivering the product. I had to rearrange my whole afternoon schedule and sit with the product for two hours until the establishment was able to be opened. When I called back to complain about the product being left I was told that they don't make appointments when it's clearly stated on their website that appointments can be made during their non-operating hours, which include Sundays. Sandra told me to just leave the product outside and when I told her that I didn't appreciate her lack of concern and demeaning nature she stated "what are you going to do about it?" She then proceeded to hang up in my face and then send me a message stating that they were going to come and pick up the pole and call the police. I spoke with Rick, who is the owner, and he told me that the pole wouldn't be picked up and then he apologized for Sandra's rude demeanor. I received another message and called him back and when I complained about the disrespect and stated that I was going to write a review he then had an attitude and told me that he was going to call the cops because he felt as though his equipment was safe and was at risk for theft. I was in Wal-mart buying a lock for the equipment at the time and became so upset that I started to cry from the amount of disrespect that was coming my way. I was able to use the equipment for my event and the next day requested some form of refund due to the horrible customer service and was told that I was due nothing and that they were going to call the police (yet again) if I didn't return the pole. Through a series of emails I was told to tell them the time that the pole could be picked up and once I told them a time they were late to pick it up. I called and informed them that the pole couldn't be picked up after that hour and was told my card would be charged for another day due to their tardiness. This company has no sense of customer appreciation and it appears that they think that anyone that disagrees with their services is a thief of some sorts. The only way I know that the equipment was picked up was by calling the establishment owner and inquiring of the the security of the equipment. Very piss poor customer service and I wouldn't recommend using them for anything. read more
