After having a virtual consult I was then put on a regimen of HQ and retinol among other skincare products that were recommended (my skin didn't really tolerate HQ too well) and this regimen seemed to have helped my skin for the time being, but then something horrible happened to the melasma on my face!! My skin has darkened to the point I can barely cover it with makeup ( I literally cry when I look at my face in the mirror because of how dark the HQ has made the melasma on my face. I don't even know how to reverse this damage and I feel so hopeless because now it seems I have to pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars to correct this skin issue that was never this bad. I was told to buy more products which cost hundreds of dollars to now correct this reaction. I wish there was more caution or emphasis on how delicate HQ can be for someone's skin!

So the timing of this win is perfect. My friend and I were greeted and taken back to the facial beds. They are semi private but they left the curtain between us open since we were together. Kate was my esti and I loved her for her work on my face, and being really sweet and cool. We discussed my skin, my washing routine, allergies, all that fun stuff and documented it all on an iPad. I put my belongings in a basket they provided and laid down. I was offered a pillow to put under my knees and a weighted blanket which I took them both. It's nice to be cozy while being pampered. Kate asked me if I wanted her to tell me each step she was doing or if I wanted to just relax. I chose relaxation and it was so nice zoning out and listening to the overhead music. I had the hydrofacial with an enhancement of oilplaning. I had to google that ahead of time and it's basically using a tiny razor over oil on your face to get all the peach fuzz off. The facial was great. I was glowing when I left. Still am. The best part is they do offer memberships and have a special for $79 a month for a monthly facial. They make the membership very easy to cancel, pause, go up a level and back down as needed. Plus I bought some botanical pads (on Kate's recommendation) that I got for a discount (on my new membership) and they were reasonably priced. I'm so happy I will be a regular at this face spa. Suzana did explain what she was doing to me, but I would have preferred her tell me which products she thought I should incorporate into my routine after the facial because I felt a little like I was being sold products. Instead of asking what I was missing from my routine when the facial was over so she could give me proper recommendations, she recommended products I didn't feel I needed. When I asked for recommendations for exfoliators she gave me good recs and I look forward to trying the product I did purchase. I was partially looked at this spot to see if I might want to get Botox here, but after searching the website I saw nothing about the training the facialists OR injectors go through, and personally I will not be going to an injector that isn't properly educated.
