I was gifted with an 80 minute Signature Wellness massage from Riviera Spa as a farewell from my Chicago staff. I will have to give them all big hugs when visiting Chi. I had a wonderful experience at the Spa. There is alot of construction around the shopping center where the spa is located so it can be hard to notice immediately the parking garage adjacent to the spa. It was easy enough to get parked and up to the spa though. I was greeted by friendly staff and checked in promptly. I felt so welcome and was shown a seating area for me to wait in once I got settled. Valerie (my massage therapist) came, greeted me, and took me back to the room. We chatted about my problem areas and we were well on our way. I had the best massage and can't speak highly enough of what a calming and positive energy she has. I had a couple of trouble knots and she was thoughtful in checking on me. This experience made me realize that I have to take care of myself more often! Below is the email I had to send becasue I nver received the gift certificate. On Friday, December 15th, at 4:46 pm, I made a purchase of a $55.00 gift certificate for my daughter, who resides in Dallas. Regrettably, I have encountered a series of challenges in receiving the necessary documentation for this transaction. To provide a brief overview: No Receipt or Gift Certificate: I have not received a receipt or the gift certificate in my email, despite the funds being deducted from my bank account immediately. Contacting Your Establishment: I initially contacted your spa at approximately 5:15 pm on the same day, only to be informed that my order could not be located. I was assured that an investigation would be conducted, and I would receive a callback within 30 minutes. Unfortunately, no one reached out to me during that time frame. Lack of Follow-Up: Despite subsequent attempts to follow up, including a call later that evening, I was informed that a manager would need to contact me. Regrettably, I have not received any communication from your end to date. As per your recent instructions, I have attached screenshots of the relevant transactions for your reference. Please confirm the reception of this email and the attached documents, and advise on the steps that will be taken to rectify the issue. Even after I submitted proof of it clearing my bank they refuse to honor the transaction, saying they do not see it, however they did see my bank statement showing the money was taken out of my account. I attached the clip of the statement to show it did clear my bank. However, at 8:22 am that day (Wednesday) I received a confirmation text and email that included a request to complete our intake forms (which I did). Front desk was 0 help and when I reached out to management continuously received no response. Customer service hugely lacking. Not great for massages - would not recommend. I booked the signature wellness massage for 80 minutes and was deeply disappointed. They offered to add on stones which was great but the masseuse spent like half the time just moving around the table picking them up and putting them down. Not to mention the rock literally was just slid across my body? No pressure points were hit, it felt like I just had oil spread across my body and that was it. There was also this towel placed across my face which kept falling off and the masseuse would pause every minute or so to put it back on my face even after it had fallen on the ground 3x. Not very relaxing? I explained that my back was super tight and specified certain areas, the masseuse didn't even massage one of them. We purchased a couples massage for 50min ($235 with a $50 deposit at the time of booking). It was just...okay. I think the ambiance would have been nice but there was a bride and a couple members of her bridal party in the waiting area - so they're "excitement" (if you will) - did not sit well if you wanted a few minutes to be calm and enjoy the relaxation room. The massage itself was all right - not memorable - just all right. They are pretty clean so I do give props for that. They also do temperature checks upon entering so you feel at ease that they are taking the necessary precautions during COVID. Pro-tip - there is free parking in the garage - you have to enter on Travis street. There was a ton of construction when we tried to find this garage entry so we circled a couple times but if you know where you're going, I don't foresee you having issues. read more

Riviera Spa is my favorite spot in Dallas to escape to. I've lived in Dallas for 2 years and this past Christmas, I decided to gift myself a Membership. My go-to masseuse is Nook. She's a 5 star masseuse who knows what she's doing. Without Nook, my back would be in all sorts of pain and knots. Nook is appropriately personable and welcoming. I feel like she values my business and truly loves the work she does for her clients. I'd recommend Riviera Spa to anyone who finds it on their own! Enjoyed a great last minute spa date! My date and I enjoyed the 1 hour float therapy session. Pros: The float therapy was very relaxing, the staff was very helpful in explaining how to adequately prepare ourselves for floating along with the post cleansing instructions. After my session I was offered wine and champagne and was able to relax in the sitting room for as long as I pleased! Cons: There's a ton of epsom salt in the tank, so even after a ten minute shower there was still salt all over. Please note that for women, esp women with kinky/curly hair, washing the salt out of your hair is going to be a pain. I do not suggest booking this service after getting your hair done. I also would recommend the spa add a Bluetooth speaker inside or outside of the tank that guests can connect their phones to and listen to tunes of their choice. Lastly, the spa was not the easiest place to find, it's a bit hidden in a corner, considering I'm not local to Dallas, a heads up on how to get to the spa would've been helpful. read more

Alas it's a one and done kind of place. It's a very scenic but that doesn't equate to a great experience. I came after they re-opened during COVID. I checked out the massage service as I was looking for a permanent place to visit a few times a month. I mentioned to the massage therapist, Jessica, that I have back problems and to focus on my lower back and shoulders. She focused on the shoulders and didn't really address my lower back. Also, she spent less time than what I paid for (5 minutes difference and it annoyed me because it was already only 50 minutes). I also didn't appreciate that they auto charge tip and if you want to reduce it you'll have to email them- super annoying and a strong no during COVID. For a spa massage this is adequate but this is not the place to visit for medical massages and deep tissue (go elsewhere). They weirdly emailed me asking for feedback. I gave it to them and they said they will get back to me and never did- that was early June, another sign this isn't my spa (poor follow through) read more

I have been here twice for Yelp events and twice on my own. I truly enjoy every single experience. Great staff and service all around. I came to get a facial done by Trisha and she was so amazing. Granted, I had nothing to compare it to since it was my first facial ever. My face was baby soft after the facial. Wish I have feeling forever. I also came to get my nails did and really loved it. My cuticles are so sensitive that every time I get my nails did, it ended up bleeding. Lauren was different though, she was extra diligent and gentle that it felt amazing. I love what she did to my nails. So pretty. I only problem I have with this place is parking. It's definitely on a busy street and valet is available, but I really don't feel like paying for parking to get my nails done, especially when it's already kindna pricey already. With all the stress and tension that a person builds up, this form of self care works wonders and riviera spa knocked it out the park!!!
