About 3 weeks later, all of the issues started coming to light. We called about the post-completion issues, and were told to "call licensed professionals about it." Which was interesting, because we were under the impression we had hired licensed professionals when we hired them to do the work. Buyer beware.

I saw Daniel and his company, TruBlue of Allen, got great reviews everywhere I looked so I reached out. He agreed to meet me the next day and came and always had a smile on his face and a "can-do" attitude. He showed confidence and I could tell he has done this many times. We agreed on his very reasonable estimate and the project began! I wanted to completely remove our existing shower and tub and make the tub are our new shower and the previous shower would become a an area for storage. He showed up to help me get tile and we got a great mix of tiles for our bathroom and we couldn't be happier! Fernando helped with all the tiling and a separate group of guys helped with the finishings and drywalls. Daniel's plumber is fantastic and you can tell that all these workers pay attention to detail and have worked in nice homes and do great work. This was so different than my previous experience which was mediocre. As the project finished, we were just so happy and I don't think you could get a better result in the very reasonable price range that Daniel offers. Nothing but great things to say about our experience. As with all things, stay in communication and make sure you are talking to the day-to-day workers as well as Daniel. I'm writing this review to share our experience with Azores so other homeowners can make an…read moreinformed decision. We hired Azores for two bathroom remodels. While the tile work turned out nicely, our overall experience raised serious concerns about their knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, and building-code requirements. The plumbing work was particularly concerning. Two drains were installed using flexible accordion tubing and improper trap configurations. When we raised our concerns, the contractor admitted they sometimes improperly install drains, stating that "usually no one cares." They first proposed fixing the issue with an S-trap, which is also not to code. These issues should have been addressed during planning , especially since the vanity cabinet was one of the first items we ordered through them. The framing work was another major concern. Azores agreed to install recessed mirrors and shampoo niches but planned to cut through existing wall studs without properly addressing the structural framing. The contractor told us that "usually people don't care about their studs being cut" and admitted they did not know there were building codes for this type of work. We ultimately had to properly frame two of the recessed mirrors ourselves because we were not comfortable with their approach. Most disappointing was their response. Rather than taking responsibility for these issues, Azores is charging us additional money to correct problems resulting from their own planning and workmanship. A nice tile finish does not make up for inadequate plumbing, framing, and code knowledge. We recommend that homeowners carefully evaluate Azores' trade expertise before hiring them.

Dallas Bath and Glass are fantastic…read more 2 years ago, in early 2023, a cleaning service broke one of the glass doors on our shower. We called Dallas Bath and Glass out and they gave us an estimate. The estimator was extremely thorough, and I was impressed with his knowledge and methods compared to competitors. Although their prices were fair (we had 3 estimates done), we had to wait because a short time later a storm did major damage to our roof. Although I decided they were the right company for the job, we had to put our resources to bear on the storm damage; fights with insurance delayed everything. Fast forward to 2025, and even though time had passed my initial impressions brought me back to calling Dallas Bath and Glass out again. The estimator came back out in mid-April and re-did all of the measurements - the original estimate was very similar to the new one and I didn't think there was some crazy gouging of the price or unjustified increases (I did my homework). The price was actually nearly the same. The problem is the door is not standard. It requires some custom work to be done; there is no off the shelf solution. We went ahead with the work. The new glass was built and installed in early June. I could not be happier with the way it came out. The installers were courteous, clean, and provided excellent workmanship. I also want to say that the entire time, communication was fantastic. I was kept informed about timing, and the day of, they were prompt and showed up when they said they would. The wall spaces were not exactly the same sizes but the results turned out great. From quote to completion everything was done in 2 weeks but probably could have been sooner without the holiday.

Wow! What a great company to work with…read more We had a water heater fail while our house was on the market, resulting in water damage, drywall repairs, painting, flooring work, and more. Jamie and the PK team worked incredibly hard to get our master bedroom restored (quickly) and the affected areas repaired--honestly, better than they were before. What impressed us most was how much they genuinely cared about us as customers. They communicated well, took pride in their work, and made a stressful situation much easier to navigate. It's unfortunate that we're moving, because I would absolutely hire them again for future projects. Do yourself a favor and give this company a call--you won't be disappointed!

He set up an appt. within days, arrived on time, listened to my project. Tuesday reviewed project (it's a small job but to us it's major undertaking). I figured it would take weeks (big box said). NO. It was done in less than a week - and when we found an issue - he had it fixed before I was finished telling him about it. The installation of counters (in a world of uneven things) - I don't know where to begin - care was taken to demo, and install new counters and you cannot tell there was work done. I'm so impressed with Allan and his company - on time (ahead of schedule), on budget, flexible to what can afford, professional, dealt with difficulties.
