The tour involved some walking but we also got to use the trolley system and learn about the trolleys. We even got to stop by the trolley depot and meet the person in charge of the trolley system who also answered questions for us. I would recommend this food tour as we got to try three different places. Baboush, Ka Thai, and The Rustic. All were great! However, the restaurants can change from what our guide was telling us. We also got to stop by a local bakery and try their sweet bread. Next time we're in town we definitely want to try out another food tour with them.

Three of us met Tall Paul, the owner and tour guide on the square in McKinney Texas. When thinking about starting the business,he and his wife attended a school in Chicago on the subject. Evidently, Chicago is known for food tours. Basically, over a 5 hour period(it was supposed to be 31/2) Paul walked us around old downtown McKinney enlightening us on the history of this lovely North Texas Town and stopping in for small bites and drinks. Our first stop at 11 am on Sunday was an Irish pub! I have to think back a long time to remember when I may have been drinking beer at 11 am on Sunday! I bet 100 years ago people of McKinney would have been up in arms over beer drinking any time on Sunday, especially before church! This is the type of thing that Food Walk and Paul made fun to think about. Our tour wrapped up at a great place with oysters and some lovely mixology drinks. I think if you are open-minded and can roll with it, this may be something different that would expand your horizons. I say, Go!!!

The tour began at a nice,…read morequality wine tasting room; however, our tour guide was unprepared and provided a self-serve charcuterie board without providing sufficient plates or utensils. From here, we boarded a bus to a singular dessert stop where we got one brownie each in spite of the tour description stating that we would visit "several dessert venues". Once dessert was over, we got back on the bus to see the nice Christmas lights in Highland park. While on the bus, we played some trivia for chocolate prizes (Hershey chocolate kisses) and drank wine provided by the tour (would've been nice if they didn't run out within half an hour). All in all, there is potential in this tour. However, the lack of multiple dessert stops, needing to self-serve the charcuterie, and lack of enough wine caused it to drastically underwhelm for the price point.

He was super informative about Dallas history, stopped at all the most picturesque places and knew just the right tunes to play. When I booked the tour I wasn't aware that the World Cup would be in Dallas, so we had to take detours around some places due to high traffic. However, it was really cool to see what looked like the entire country of Argentina hanging out at Klyde Warren Park. We got to hear their beautiful chant & even almost got to see Messi. If the daytime tour was this much fun I could only imagine what the vibe would be like at night.
