Only 60 degrees and it was chilly inside. I called and the owner "Don" told me they were buried with calls and couldn't get to me for a few days. I called another company that runs lots of advertising "Big Name" and what a mistake that was. They came out repaired something and charged me over $400. The next day the furnance started acting up again. I called them back and they decided it had an expensive part that needed to be ordered +$1200. I decided to call "Don" at Abby's back and told him what was going on. Here it was Christmas Eve and he dropped everything and came to our rescue. He too said the part the other guys mentioned needed to be replaced. He just happened to have one in his truck. Plus he told us it was under warranty and sent it in for us. End of the story he had it fixed and running quickly and only charged us $200. Called the other "Big Name" guys asking to be reimbursed the $400 that didn't fix my problem. They were not willing to do that. Ugh Don't hesitate to call them. You won't be dissapointed.

So far they've been great for us. The most recent example was today. I had spent the entire morning trying to get our sump pump to work, and had tried everything to thaw the pipes. I had come to the conclusion that maybe it was the pump itself that was having issues, so I decided to give them a call. The person I spoke with was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, and had someone sent out same day to take a look. I believe his name was John and he was excellent. Super friendly and knew his stuff for sure. In the end it did turn out to simply be frozen pipes, but John took care of it, and not to mention had to work outside on the coldest day we've had in a long time. We discussed the problem and Brett got right to work. Brett helped me with the ceiling tiles in the basement that had been damaged when the shower overflowed onto the floor and leaked down into the basement. Then he went to the shower and power rodded the drain and discovered a giant wad of hair that had been obstructing the drain. He made sure that the drain was free flowing and then cleaned everything up so it was all neat and tidy. Brett was very knowledgeable and explained everything in a thorough manner. I would happily recommend Brett and Black-Haak Heating and Plumbing for any work of that nature that you need to have done. Everyone at Black-Haak is friendly, professional and they get the job done in a timely and efficient manner.

When I asked about this, he had to do an "investigation", then came back to me and said he would only charge me $100. To fix their mistake! The crazy thing is, I was about to move forward with $2000+ of work with them. Because of this, I very reasonably asked if they could waive the fee since it was their mistake they were fixing. They then began to ignore me! Completely unprofessional company that does not stand by the quality of their work.
