I had a good experience at Daly City Chiropractic Center. I made an appointment for next Wednesday since I've been having neck and back problems. My problems got worse last Friday so I decided to get a massage at this place since I'll be going to this practice either way. The Swedish massage they recommended was good and eased my neck and upper back pain temporarily. However, this is a place focused on the medical aspect it is not a spa. They won't dim the light or light up incense for you which is fine. I'm not a professional but I'm not sure either if it was a Swedish massage when it was purely focused on my neck and shoulders only. The door to the room was opened at all times when I received the massage. That was a bit weird = lack of privacy since I didn't have my shirt on. When I paid I showed the Yelp $10 Swedish Massage discount but Dr. Ngai said he doesn't know how to remove that from Yelp and they don't offer that discount anymore and he doesn't know how to remove that from Yelp. But then he said "But I can give you a $5" discount. That part was a little bit very much subtly sketchy. If the discount isn't valid, just give Yelp a call it's the easiest thing to remove it. Unless it's out there to lure people in and then say "No we don't offer that" By no means did I have a bad experience. I am just a little bit surprised by the way this place presents itself. I had a feeling it was business focused instead of health and medicine. At my actual doctor's appointment this upcoming Wednesday I'll see if I leave this place paralyzed or with a relieved back. read more

Well I don't remember how I found this place I think I just walked over when I was getting the pizza at dominos. so I'm not sure if it was done this account or on my last account so it's been a year the guy was really nice but I was so sore for three days I couldn't even walk because he was poking he put me through the ringer and I was sore last thing he did was put me on some table and to try to stretch my back out with the sciatica and with my knee. it made it worse so I never came back but I didn't know that they do acupuncture, I wish I would have done it while they took my insurance so she said she doesn't take my insurance so I think they might take others but I'm not sure but it didn't seem like it cuz she said they can make arrangements for cash. so I just have to call my insurance company so just called to make sure if they take your insurance and if you check in I think it says you get a discount on xrays. Had a treatment and first time appointment with Daly City Chiropractor. They were able to take me in on the same day. I was talking to Dr. Dennis but when I got there, Dr Lee gave the treatment. Both are friendly. Dr. Nelson Lee is very thorough and knowledgeable, took his time, helped me with my pain and really gave relief. I have very serious injuries to both my lumbar and cervical spine. I just called Daly City Chiropractic Center to make an appointment. Unfortunately I won't be using their services because the receptionist is incompetent. I called and a friendly voice confirmed that I had indeed called Daly City Chiropractic Center and asked, "how may I help you?" I told her that I wanted to schedule a consultation. The girl on the other end paused in confusion before asking, "and this is in regards to....?" Already really bad phone presence, but I continued by telling her that I had back problems, that I have bad posture and have been experiencing back pains and wanted to see a chiropractor for a while. She goes, "Ummm... Ok...." As if I was telling her something that was completely out of the ordinary. Then she asks to put me on hold. I'm on hold for over 5 minutes before i hear someone picking up and putting down the phone. They don't say anything, I just hear the phone being handled. This goes on for another few minute before the phone is hung up. The girl was unprofessional and sounded like she had no idea what she was doing or what I was talking about. I don't know of any spa places in the DC area, but stumbled across jordan a's review of himself for DC Chiropractic Center. I thought this would be perfect since jordan's a massage therapist and I wondered whether my injuries warranted a chiropractor visit. Some may be turned off by his review starting with the sh** word and the picture of him in a ladybug (lovebug?) costume, but not I...I was intrigued. I pm'ed him about costs which are $35 for a 30 min session...comparable to 1 hr spa prices but I thought 30 min should be suffiicient for my shoulders and neck. So turns out jordan's really cool and pretty normal...he wasn't wearing any insect costumes or powder blue sunglasses on the day I visited. And yes, he's got magical hands! He was able to pinpoint all the problematic spots and focus on those. It was nice that he didn't try to convince me to see the chiropractor. Minus a star because the facility he works in is really small and kinda run down. The office is in Daly City's "civic center", which is just an old building. When I went to the restroom, I walked past 2 patients lying face down on the chiro tables. I'm glad I had the one private room for my session. My first yelp review. YAY! Me and my boyfriend have been trying out different massage places for a good while now and finally a massage place worth coming back for. We tried this place because of a groupon deal. We were a bit nervous on the purchase since it only had 13 reviews on yelp, but hey you have to start somewhere, so we gave it a go. This place is very clean and pretty spacious. Denise the massage therapist greeted me with a friendly smile and showed me to the room. As I laid down I noticed the massage table was heated, which was a really nice touch to the beginning of the massage. She first did a mini massage to my whole body with the sheet on, I'm guessing to warm me up. Then she poured a sufficient amount of oil and started on my upper back, which was an OMG moment. It was as if she knew i was hurting there. She worked on the knots and it felt like they melted .... and the rest is history. I bought a groupon for this place and cashed in last week. Great massage by Denise! My upper back is usually hard as a rock and I've never felt it so loose, even right after a massage. They're regular prices are reasonable, location is convenient, front desk girl was very sweet. I'll definitely be back. I have to admit though, I am rounding up. If I could give 4 1/2 stars I would. Minus half a star for the paper face barrier on the massage table. I know it's for sanitary reasons and they are probably required to put something there but it was really annoying. It made noises with every little move which sounded really loud to me because it was right near my ears. The massage was enough for me to still rate 5 stars but it really was distracting. I've been looking for a place like Daly City Chiropractic Center: Inexpensive and totally worth it. I had a 90-minute Swedish massage for only $70 compared to other clinics. The receptionist is very approachable. The clinic is very neat and has a vast space. Denise is the name of the massage therapist who I met. She is very calm, friendly, and just amazing! Made an appointment the day before. The receptionist highly recommended Tuan for my deep tissue. I agreed to meet Him. next day when I got there, they gave me Tony. I've been coming to this chiropratic center every now and then since 2003 everytime i get into a car accident and for a regular adjustment. I just love the way Dr Victor Shu does his adjustment on me. The other doctor was also good but i normally go with Dr Shu for adjustment. I tried goin to the ones closer to my house but i didnt have the same satisfaction as with them. Now im liking it even more since they now offer a foot massage, full body massage and accupuncture. Went to these guys after a bad car accident (referred to them by my lawyers) and they do really good work. I always leave their place feeling like a million bucks. They rotate on days where you get back cracking/electric muscle stimulation and days where that male masseuse comes in. Sometimes he's a bit too rough with the elbows but man, everytime I feel incredible afterwards. Magic hands indeed. The doctors were very friendly and we had great conversations. Went in today for an adjustment at Daly City Chiropractic! Thank you Dr. Victor Shu for your amazing work I feel so much better! I had a really bad aching pain that felt like someone was pushing & suffocating me right around my heart area, which I've been monitoring for the past two weeks, but after my sumo deadlift on Friday, the pain really hurt the next day so I decided "Alrighty, it's time for some chiropractic care." The pain was really worrying me and I just wanted to know if my alignment was okay. Dr. Victor had awesome models of spinal examples and explained everything he was going to adjust and examine. I felt totally confident that his chiropractic skills would alleviate my pain. So update its been around 6-7 hrs later and I feel great! My neck, shoulder area above my pain spot, T3, lower back, and pelvis were misaligned and now I'm put back in place. The pain I felt was from straining my chest muscle, so no heavy lifting for the next week. BUT! My pain level is now around a 4-5 going from 6-7. I called an hour before and they were able to accommodate me and my boyfriend. Tom did our massage. I said I wanted a medium pressure massage but he kind of made it hard. Other than that, it was a good massage. UPDATE: Went back. I got Denise. It seems like she didn't know what she was doing. First, I called in to say I'm pregnant. Second, when she was informed by the receptionist that she was giving me a reflexology massage, she said she doesn't "do foot." Third, she pressed so hard even tho I said not to cause I'm pregnant. The Doctors/Practitioners here have prioritized your Money over your Health and Well-Being. My girlfriend went in for their chiropractic services - she was looking for an alignment. The Chiropractor 1/3 of the time doing his job and the other 2/3's of his time trying to upsell her on the other services he was offering. Firstly, he tried to set up a schedule for all the appointments that her Insurance would allow for the year. That's interesting seeing as that was her first appointment and they haven't even begun the intial accessment. I understand you are trying to tie her down so you can collect but shouldn't we access her health condition first to determine her individual need for your services? Then the real fun started. He asked her about how she was feeling because apparently, he had a service or health supplement that he was selling to make it all better. Are you stressed? How are you feeling? If so, I have a supplement for that. The final straw was when he told he he was also doing emotional counseling or something of the sort. Please, we don't want your supplements, the counseling services, or the fitness classes you host. So stop trying to sell us on these services. I understand the need for holistic health, but when you're pushing these services onto customers and just trying to collect all the money you can, its hard to tell whether its for your patients well being or whether you're trying to make a quick buck. I'd say the worst part of all this is a patients understanding of a doctors role within the healthcare system. We understand them to have our well-being/health as their first priority. But it's pretty apparent that they use our understanding of their role as a way to line their own pockets. Are the services they provide dishonest? Not inherently as I am sure if you take enough of their vitamins and if they are actually trained in their skill, they would be good for your health. However, I think the way they go about promoting these "Add-On" through their "Expertise" is dishonest. read more

They have very affordable prices especially for Foot Reflexology. $30 when you use your card and $25 if you pay cash. Their price is very good for their service. They know the pressure points, you get to have your own space, staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have a promo if you pay $100 that's 5 sessions of foot reflexology and you can share it with friends and family! They have another promo coming up on Mother's Day which is Buy 2 body massage and get 1 free. I'd definitely come back. Their service and fee are faaaaar better than the spa beside them. Worst place to get a massage. The therapist who was wearing glasses fairly young man obviously was inexperience. I don't even recall his name. He did not even bother to check for the pressure. He obviously did not know what he was doing because I felt like crap after that I had to go to another place couple of days later. Most therapist will monitor your breathing an tell you to relax. I literally was purposely make muscle tense so I would feel the pressure. This man was pretty big and tall. I had to tell him several times where to put pressure but he failed to deliver. I literally told the man to feel free and punch my lower back. It's a complete waste of my time and money. Possibly made my body worst. They probably have a good chiropractor, but I won't even bother coming here because this place really left a really bad taste in my tongue! read more

Dr Ngai is the most friendly doctor I have ever encountered. I called to make a same day appointment due to lower back pain, Dr Ngai tried his best to squeeze me in. And when I arrived I saw the most friendly smile I have ever seen on a doctor's face. He helped me adjust my spine and neck, although the pain didn't disappeare right after, I was back to my normal self the morning after. I went in to get my hip, shoulder, and back adjusted after a really bad car accident. Everyone was super nice and welcoming. Jack used some acupuncture for my shoulder and hip which worked helped alleviate the pain immediately! After jack adjusted my neck and back, all the pain and soreness from driving a sports car and sitting in front of a computer was alleviated!
