The place has a nice interior. Went on a Wednesday night. I had the brisket. Mistake. Dried out slices of sawdust. The overly sweet sauce was disgusting. My onion rings came cold, so I asked to be brought hot ones. They took cold onion rings and re fried (burnt) them. Just for me. Bad bad food. Avoid. read more

We ate here again a week ago and things have gone downhill a bit. This is not a super club. If you go in expecting that you will be disappointed. This is a bar with food that has a very stark, very bright, and very white room attached to it. The staff is uniformly friendly and the bartenders make nice basic drinks. There are hints of homemade chef driven food, but much of that has gone downhill some. I liked the ribs before but the portions are smaller and they were very fatty. The burgers were just ok, and nothing special. The walleye was pretty good, but also somewhat spendy. The best thing we ate was the hog wings, but they are $5 each. The salads were fresh and crisp. Overall this whole experience was just ok. I'm numbed out a bit since I thought this would be a place that I loved. read more

Terrible experience for the 5th time. Will never be back. Always out of menu items. This time they were out of Brussels Sprouts so I ordered a side of asparagus for $7 and what is in the photo is what I got. Just a joke! The potato sides were ok at best but also for $7 very undesirable. People next to us were complaining too. Server was actually very professional and did her job well. I gave her a 20% tip because it's not her fault. read more

I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the experience. They serve very good half pound burgers, with the French Onion Burger being my favorite. Their pasta portions are huge and very good. They also run some pretty good and different specials at times. They have music on weekends. I think my favorite thing though is how special they make veterans feel, offering them a free meal every Wednesday during the lunch hour. It's a friendly, clean place. I'll be back! read more

This new restaurant at the site of the old Pine River dam might be better titled "Trainwreck Supper Club" This old pharmacy converted to a bar/ restaurant has that generic clinical feel in the dining room. Bare white walls and big empty room. We had the brisket and the ribs. Our sides included the mashed potatoes, the beans, the broccoli, the rice pilaf, and the side salad. The ribs were good. The brisket was terrible. The rest was just okay. Our server was clearly trying to be nice, but she was unbearably fake and over the top about it. For example, she kept taking to us in a high-pitched voice like we were 3-year-olds. But what really bothered us is how inept she was and how bad the bartender was at their job. The server didn't know basic things like kinds of beer or drinks. For example, we ordered one kind of beer and she returned with another (and then proceeded to charge us for it even though we didn't drink it). Then the bartender made two Long Island iced teas - one had so much sour in it that it was undrinkable; the other had none. We tried to get them to mix them together to even it out and the bartender simply threw one out. Three drinks that we didn't drink, all of which we paid for. read more

Do not go here. We went for lunch, just three of us and the place wasn't that busy. We waited over an hour for food to come to the table. We didn't even get all of the food including a simple kids meal. After another fifteen minutes of waiting we told the waitress to get the rest of food to go. It was sickening and very frustrating. We've given this place many chances and every time disappoint. Get a faster better cook. The waitress was amazing. read more

I posted a review earlier. After our poor experience the owner reached out to a member of our group and invited us back a week later. I have been traveling so I am late with follow up. The meals were comped which was way beyond what he needed to do. It was a large group again. The service was much better. The food was still good but it came out warm this time. I still believe that with a table of 14 more than one person would bring out the food when the order is up. But our server did get it all out and to the right people and it was still warm. I went with four stars this time as the owners efforts and their desire to make up for the bad experience. My wife and I will be back in the spring and hope the food continues to be good and the service continues to improve. Give them a try! read more

Absolutely not good. I've tried several times. Got Diablo Pasta. 4 shrimp, 5 small disc of sausage. My friend got less of each. Don't order unless you only like dry pasta. No meat. So sad. Also had smash burger, don't. Unless you like a plain meat. Everything cost money... read more

Bar stool was comfy. Food seemed like it was just warmed up in a microwave. Bartender was bragging about how she chased a paying customer out who did not like Donald Trump. Truly loud and obnoxious about it. Food took forever, three other people were there, so I'm not sure why. The server seemed like she may have been drinking or something. Won't be back. read more

It is not too often that one runs across a restraunt with great food and heart. You can feel that the folks at Damsite care about what they are putting on your plate and pouring in your cup. The food was delicious, and the vibe was.. heartfelt. One of the owners came to check on how we liked our food, respect was shown for all, and special considerations for veterans. So much heart. Had a wonderful lunch today. This is our 2nd time here. Our first time was a busy Friday night shortly after they opened and we sat at the bar. Really enjoyed the food and had a fun bartender taking care of us!! Today our waitress was really fun. She was good spirited and attentive! Our sandwiches for lunch were great! One of us had a rueben, one had a bbq pork sandwich and I had the BLT with the egg. Very good food. Nice iced glasses for our tap beer! Great spot to give a try to! read more

I wanted to like this place. Clean rooms, comfortable bar stools, but the food was not great, and the sirloin I got for my mother smelled off, and made her sick after we got home. That plus the BBQ sauce tasted like ketchup mixed with brown sugar... I certainly won't be back. read more
