Turkey melt w/fries; hamburger & tater tots.

Early and casual light dinner on a quiet Monday evening. The waitress was very friendly and service fairly quick on a not so busy night. The food was simple but tasty. They had a varied menu, but didn't want to have a big dinner. The restaurant was freezing when we arrived, but it had large dinning rooms, which was fairly empty at 6pm. Otherwise a pleasant sports bar type of restaurant.

We were there just after opening on a weekday. We sat at the bar and had total personal service. We were the only people there. We had the walleye sandwich and rueben melt. They were both very good. Topped with a local beer, it was a very nice experience.

Just down from the bridge over the Mississippi River, this place is unpretentious and just what it says: A bridge between being hungry & thirsty to satiated. What? You don't like the decor? Well, this is rural Minnesota (just off Highway 6) and there's not too many haute cuisine restaurants nearby. We came for lunch and the friendly staff allowed us to park our bicycles on their patio area (maybe they like bikers of all varieties). The panfried walleye sandwich was wonderful, as well as my Rueben melt. Good taps offered, we experienced great service for our lunch visit. We thought the tab was more than reasonable for the amount of food that was served.

Here some of there tacos they are very filling there's fish or beef!!! I love the fish tacos!!!

The food was great, hot, fresh and tasty. The meat was tender and the service was friendly.

Horrible. Found a bone in my soup, my dinner was overly priced for the amount and quality that I got. Fruit flies everywhere.

They make their own Bloody Mary mix, delicious! Hope to travel this direction again and partake if the food that has excellent reviews.

Even though the shower and toilet stalls were further away and we had a little hill to climb with our bikes, we didn't mind. I made my first French press coffee which was provided and I loved it. The lighting, the ambiance, the amenities were next level. My friends all commented that it looked like we're staying in a fairy garden and that was exactly how it felt. Beds were very comfortable. Ample plug ins for electrical devices which is pretty rare. The one and only thing I would say that is even close to negative is that the front door was difficult to lock which was a minor annoyance that we eventually figured out. All in all I HIGHLY recommend this resort. My husband has already suggested we book another weekend in a month or two? Do they have a frequent visitor discount?? Lol...we will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your lovely slice of heaven with us

When we booked…read moreour reservations ~ 8 months in advance, you were able to select the number of adults and number of children. What we didn't realize was that children, in fact, were not allowed to stay. After abruptly being made aware of this quite important little detail, the owner referred me to their "FAQ" section under the heading, "Is Cuyuna Cove right for me?" She actually expects guests to sift through over 20 FAQs just to find a buried notation that children are "not suitable." You can imagine how devastated we all were, especially our two young children. What's worse is that she, at first, wouldn't offer any refund and even suggested we book another local rental. We've already lost $1,000 and now you have the audacity to recommend forking up another several hundred dollars so we can enjoy a weekend we've planned for months?? We ended up having to turn around and drive the 3 hours back home. No hiking, no biking, no restaurants. For a locally owned business, we are appalled at the utter lack of compassion and understanding.
