But then when I arrived to pick them up she tried to gaslight me and say she never said that and said she said the following week which was a lie and then she refused to give me my pieces that were ready and hanging up in the store. I have since learned she does not speak practically any English and will agree to anything you're saying without understanding a word of it, she will respond with nonsense to avoid all accountability. Then I come back when she finally tells me all my pieces are ready and then she tells me once piece still isn't ready. I go back the following week to get my final piece and it's not my piece at all, it's an entirely random item she's trying to tell me is mine. She tells me my actual piece will turn up but it has now been weeks and they haven't found my final piece and every time I call to ask if she's found my missing piece she hangs up the phone and then refuses to pick up when I try calling back, I keep trying to call back about my item and she either ignores the call or hangs up when she hears my voice. Kerby immediately knew what I was talking about. The wash & fold came back pleasant smelling (yay!) and soft. I think you have to verbalize this, though, which is par for the course :) I dropped off a ton of dry cleaning there as well -- and it came back in tip top impeccable shape. Yay! I moved to Chinatown a couple weeks ago, and it was time to do laundry. There were too many options…read moreso I picked the closest one that I'd seen on my walks to the subway. You need to buy a card for $2 then add funds for washing and drying. When you return the card, the $2 is refunded. The attendant that was there doing the wash and fold service ($1.65/lb I think) for drop off customers was friendly and helpful. She showed me how to buy a card and the process to use the machines. A small load is $3.75, up to a large load for $5. I went on a Monday evening around 6pm and there were plenty of open machines. Drying in the large dryers in the back costs $.50 per 8 minutes. Oddly enough, it only took one 8 minute cycle for most things to dry. I combined the handful of still damp items from my darks and lights, and ran one extra drying cycle. Total for one load ended up being $4.50. Not bad. Laundry to Go is clean and bright, the machines worked fine, and was quick and efficient. I have a card now, easier than coins, so I'll be back.

The plan was to take in the dress on the sides and so we needed to add a zipper. As you can see in the photo, they left a very sloppy hole in the lining of the dress where the zipper ends. Additionally, we agreed they would add stitches to the top of the dress so that the lining wouldn't show, this just completely didn't happen, and with no explanation at the time of pick up. I brought in a jumpsuit and two pairs of pants to get hemmed as well. The gentleman pressured me in to getting one of the pants taken in, though I did not originally intend to do so, and after I found out this would be $45 I told him again that I did not want to do this and he told me the pants would look stupid if I didn't. Total cost was $400 to get the dress, two pants and jumpsuit altered, and the dress and one pair of pants dry cleaned. Cost does not match level of quality.

Unfortunately, I had a poor experience here after choosing Ann Cleaners based on the reviews I read…read moreon Yelp. My poor experience was with the wash and fold service. They lost a pillow case. When I let them know, they did not apologize for losing it, did not take responsibility for losing it and did not offer a credit. When I asked for a credit, they made it seem like I had to provide proof that it was lost. I'm not returning to this establishment.
