The BEST doctor I've ever had! I've been with Dr. Dardashti for about 7 years now. He has always made me feel safe, respected, listened to, and cared for. (If you are a woman reading this... you know what a big deal that is. When I was a little girl, my mom almost died because several doctors told her the pain she had was in her head. Ever since, I have hunted for a doctor who would listen to me and truly value my words.) On top of being a brilliant and skilled physician who has treated me for all manner of illnesses big and small, he treats his patients like family. Steer clear of this place. Disgusting, exploitative, underhanded business practices. Vivian in the front office is rude, interrupts, claims to remember what words were said or not said from 4 months ago (despite her having hundreds of patient conversations since) and gets defensive very easily if you submit any type of reality different from her made-up reality. I suggest everyone go to a different doctor entirely, but if you do decide to use this one, definitely make sure that Vivian is nowhere near your medical care. I specifically mentioned on the phone setting up the appointment, in person at the front office when I arrived, and to the doctor during the appointment, that I was using my free yearly physical before I lose my job and the insurance ran out. Non-preventative tests were ran and now I am left with bills while I don't have a job. I may not have used every single right word when explaining my situation, but cmon.. I used most of the right ones and explained enough about my situation that a medical provider should be able to understand my request, even if it's not worded perfectly from a medical and insurance standpoint. I had to switch PCP and my insurance "group". Did extensive research and Dr. Dardashti came up in a positive light and close to my home (closer than my old PCP) and allowed me to keep my specialists which is super important (chronic illness that requires meds for life). Soooo, first visit today and I feel 1. Relieved 2. HAPPY 3. Like I made the right choice! The front desk staff was amazing when I first called to see what I had to do to make sure my insurance was correct and they had already hooked me up by the time I walked in today. Not only was I submitted to insurance for office visit but they also had gotten my prescriptions worked out for the refills with Optum. Dr. Dardashti is so personable and easy to chat with. Took notes of my history and what we need to do so I don't have any lapses in continuing/getting my specialist care squared away AND seemed to diagnose and prescribe for a recent symptom that my last PCP was unable to figure out. I didn't think Doctors like Dr. Dan Dardashti still existed. I'm also a nurse and around a lot of docs but his kind is rare these days. He's not sitting on a tablet with his head down typing. He's taking time to be present with you and listen to all your concerns. He cracks jokes and is witty. My 11 yr old was bored but he had her laughing too. He isn't rushing to answer questions. I dont really like to write bad reviews but felt I had to as I am in tears from my experience there. I went in 2 weeks a go to check my hormones as I am experiencing perimenopausal symptoms as only realizing this by joining a peri menapause and menapause group on facebook. I told Dr Dan Dardashti my symptoms and my bloated tummy is said was gas,my severe anxiety was down to stress, my insomnia was down to stress and my night sweat due to being a warm country. I booked for the blood test and they didnt even check my hormones which was the reason I booked it in the first place,I did however learn that my vitamen D levels were low, this is the 5th peri menapause symptom Im experiencing. I asked what my blood work results were for my hormones and they didnt even do it or forgot. I had to book in for another blood test,I get there and a nurse is about 15 years old, tried to take my blood to which is stopped and said there was an air bubble in the needle. Then Dr Dan Dardashti came in and he tried to draw my blood,he missed the vien and was poking around in my arm with the needle looking for the vien. I told him to stop as it was getting very painful.So yet again my blood wasent drawn. I asked to get some sleeping tablets to help with my insomnia due to the night sweats 5th,I was told that they will fax the perscription to my CVS,I gave them the fax number. Over the weekend I went to pick them up,they didnt have the fax,Today being Monday I thought Ill go fetch them and they still dont have the fax,I called the Dr office 3 times to send over the fax,I even went to the CVS across the street incase it was there and still nothing. I still dont have the sleeping tablets and am just so pissed off at this applauding service from Dr, nurses and receptionist. read more

Dr. Dan Dardashti is my new primary physician. I've seen him twice in the past 5 months, once for a physical, and the other for a knee injury. Both times I found his office staff warm and friendly, and the waiting room almost empty. When you don't see a bunch of people stacked up in the waiting room, that's a good sign. It means they're being seen in a timely manner. Dr. Dan himself is friendly, engaging, and professional. He seems to know his stuff. I've had doctors who were more chatty, but none who hit that perfect balance of friendly and also fast. He zeros in on the problem, and gets to solving it, which explains why he doesn't have patients stacked up in the waiting room. The best part: When I called for my second visit, I got an appointment on THE NEXT DAY! I live close, and I work from home so I have a little flexibility, but still, an appointment on the next day is almost unheard of. I was tempted to tell them, "Y'all are doing it wrong. It's supposed to take weeks to see you." instead I counted my lucky stars. You should to. One last thing. When the results from the lab came back for my physical, the man called me himself. Not his staff, but the Doctor. When I mentioned how unusual that was he just said, "I had some free time." Such humility is rare in anyone, let alone an MD. Color me impressed. read more

It saddens me to write this after being a patient of Dr. Dardashti for a decade but it's the honest truth on my experience and I hope that in some way this will help either improve the way the practice is run or save someone else from having a similar experience. After all, if we don't advocate for our own health needs as patients, no one else will. Back in the spring of 2020, my husband and I both incredibly healthy in our late 30s started to experience some atypical & bizarre symptoms. Fainting spells, heart palpitations, fatigue, anxiety etc. It was a rare & first time both my husband & I were in the exam room together - as we both start explaining what we're experiencing and I share my atypical experience of heart palpitations, show him the spike on my apple watch he looks over to my husband and says "she's probably just anxious right, you said you guys are trying to have a baby" I was stunned, appalled just couldn't believe what I was hearing. Fast forward to 2023, our bizarre symptoms persisted - specialist after specialists, brain MRIs revealed some things, Covid 4 times (although we're vaxxed & boosted) we started experiencing the same strange symptoms. We stumble on a new Long Covid health care wing at UCLA and know immediately this is where we need to be seen after seeing the qualifying list of symptoms BUT they need an intensive amount of health records from our primary care doctor. We're now into our 4th week of TRYING to get Dardashti's office to submit the required paperwork. The front office ladies every week have said the info has been faxed and every week UCLA says they are missing information. My husband & I showed up in person with the printed paperwork in hand to have them fill it out, we were asked to come in the next day (3 visits in 1 week for a referral?!) we come in the next day - we wait an entire hour after our appointment time in the exam room. Dr. Dardashti finally comes in & asks us what's going on - says he's never seen a referral form like this - asks us the questions on the form, asks us to check if it's correct. he listens to our heart rate/breathing & the nurse had taken our blood pressure, temperature & oxygen. We wait for our medical records to be corrected after we both highlighted several incorrect or inaccurate portions to then be charged $115 without a bill. $25.00 each for the Dr. to fill out our forms, and then a copay for the visit - there was no exam, no lab work, bloodwork, urine analysis so when I asked for a copy of the receipt the front desk woman told me they can't give me a bill because their medical records person is not there. BOTTOMLINE - RUN don't walk away from this practice if you value your health and your sanity. GET second opinions. ASK if they use technology to keep medical records and demand copies. Women especially - BEWARE my gyn ran the proper labs months ago in order to find my underlying issues that revealed a micro benign tumor in my pituitary - and now I'm on medication thanks to her and a wonderful endocrinologist who recommended a brain MRI. Signed someone fatigued by front office B.S who wants to believe in the Hippocratic Oath taken by all physicians (and their staff should too or find another line of work). read more

I was pleasantly surprised from the time of making the appointment on the phone, as the receptionist asked the appropriate questions so's not to waste my time as well as theirs before my visit to the office. The staff are efficient & polite plus my new Dr D Dardashti seemed tentative and even took the extra time to get to know me a little, on my Health history, as it was my first visit to his practice. I feel saddened to have to post a review of this kind. But it must be done. I visited Doctor Dardashti a couple of months ago and have been deciding if i should be posting this review or just forget about it and move on. But I decided everyone must know what kind of Doctor this man is. His office for one, was so run down and dirty. The exam rooms countertops were very dirty, the floors had dried blood stains, dust everywhere that should be cleaned regularly. Upon his arrival into the room, he asked me basic questions about my health history and i explained many personal things i had worries about and told me it was probably nothing. PROBABLY NOTHING?! i would of expected a Doctor to make the "professional decision" to do a thorough check into the things that i had worries on. Then, he told me to get my blood drawn by one of the nurses and he walked out of the room. After getting my blood drawn the young lady told me to leave a urine sample. I got up and walked up to the bathroom, where Dr. Dan Dardashti was coming out of, and i encountered what you see in this picture i shared. It is absolutely disgusting that as a doctor he didn't have the courtesy to flush the toilet, or wash his hands. I wondered wow, he doesn't wash his hands after that, and he is still going to see patients?! I ran out of that office, never received a call for my lab results. Which he told me "HE WOULD CALL" but never did. This office is a joke. He no longer has any interest in his profession and any sane patient is able to see this. Do not go to this mediocre Doctor. There are plenty around the area that are more skilled and love what they do. read more

I researched Dr. Dardashti before making an appointment and he was absolutely lovely. I went in today because I have been experiencing quite a few migraines. He made me laugh, he listened to me, he comforted me. At one point, he looked at me and said, "You look like you are going to cry. Did I hurt you?" Because he was pointing out a spasm on my neck. And I replied, "No, I just feel so relieved to be heard." He came over and hugged me. I feel so grateful to be in his care. Such a strange I've never met a doctor more uninterested, uninvolved with a patient. Exams are cursory at best. When I went there wit an excruciating shoulder pain he decided after a brief exam it was muscle tension. Later-no thanks to him-I found out I had a torn tendon. Getting referrals anywhere is a pain, they don't seem to have the slightest idea who is in there network for your insurance. You're best off researching it yourself first. Every tip to that office was a slightly bizarre experience. I've since changed doctors, needless to say. read more

I went in to get a referral for a sleep study. Should be simple, right? First, they referred me to a sleep center that wasn't covered by my insurance. I asked them to correct it. They said they didn't know how to refer me to a sleep center that was covered by my insurance. (???) I had to do all the leg work myself--find the proper sleep center, find their fax number, call my insurance, put it all together so I could tell them how to do the referral. They still screwed it up and bungled the paperwork. The sleep center called the office and walked them through what was needed. They didn't correct it. I called them every day. Everyday I told them exactly what I need. Every day they said "we'll ask the doctor to do it today." I had to yell at them to get them to finally send the right paperwork to the sleep center. All-in-all, it was 15 days from my appointment to the corrected referral. The sleep center called me. Dardashti's office never called my insurance to get the pre-authorization I had asked for every day. What. The. !@#$. read more

I went to this doctor twice. Both times, I did not have pleasant experiences. The 2nd time was the worst, however. I went in after a week of severe stomach pain. I asked for a referral to get an ultra sound from my gynecologist, but he said no and told me that it was just gas pain. It was not. It was a huge ovarian cyst. I found this out because I had to pay out of pocket to go to an OBGYN for an ultrasound. He also had poor bedside manner. I was in severe pain, sitting on the table when he came in and told me to move and sit in the chair... only to ask me to sit on the table again 2 minutes later. I was annoyed because I asked to remain seated on the table, too. It was odd... I would not go to this doctor, especially if female. His receptionist defended him misdiagnosing me because "he doesn't specialize in females." that's a terrible excuse for not giving me a referral for an ultrasound. read more

My insurance does digital ID cards so after driving 30 minutes + parking to get to my appointment, the doctor refused to take my digital ID card and refused my visit. Could care less about his patients!!! Doesn't give routine tests to the elderly to check for cancer. Will pretend like he cares and write you a medication then tell you to go see another Dr for your next script. Oh and MICHELLE at the front desk has THE worst customer service, lies about what you say and will hang up on you if she doesn't like what you have to say. Repeatedly she hung up on me (12-15 times) as I begged her not to. Mind you this woman is very aware that my Mom is dying from brain cancer and still decided to treat me with disrespect. Then thought I was on hold, and I heard her lie to her co-workers saying I was cussing and calling names. Meanwhile I'm crying begging to talk to my doctor. Who wouldn't get on the phone even though I heard him in the back ground. This is the type of care you will receive from this Dr. oh dang if you have cancer.... he won't find it! Not sure what else a doctor goes to school for but to treat the ill and diagnose disease. Neither of which he has shown me he is capable of. Since the day of my mothers diagnosis 7/6/20 until today 3/8/21 he has made very little effort to even see if she's alive. Never write bad reviews but felt i needed to go out of my way to let ppl know how completely irresponsible and uncaring this doctor is. My bother, who is 60, went for a check up, lung xray (smoker) and bloodwork. He was having issues with his hands swelling and was concerned. They took labs and then sent him for an xray, which he got a few days later. This is over a month ago and we've called multiple times to have the doc reveiw the bloodwork and refer him to a specialist for his hands. We've left numerous messages and each time they say they've left word for the doc but he never calls my brother. It's SOOOOO unprofessional. He's never given him the specialist, gone over his labs or chest x-ray other than to say it's fine. How is it possible when he was diagnosed with slight emphysema a few years ago (with another doctor). This doctor should be ashamed to be in this profession. I just started going to Dr. Dardashti. He is my new GP. Its not easy to find a new doctor these days. Especially one that you feel comfortable with. I want a doctor that knows what he's doing, one who can and has the time to explain issues that I have. We r almost there. I have only seen him Dr Dardashti 2 times. There's some work to be done but I have a good feeling. His staff is very efficient, always kind and helpful. I don't have time to wait for long periods of time. I feel my time is just as important as yours or any Doctor for that matter. In this office so far so good!! I have stopped going to amazing doctor's bc of wait times. I have no patience for a doctor who can not figure out how to schedule patients so that they are not waiting for over 30 min. to an hour every single time! All doctors have emergencies once in awhile, others just think their time is more important then there patients. Being aware of what's going on with your patient and having the correct notes is crucial. That doesn't mean I want to spend the first 5 -10 minutes going over what he knows about me. I want the attention and not the top of a head trying input info into a computer so that when he finally says "what can I do for you"? Times up and I get rushed out the door. So far so good.. Dr. Dardashti literally turned my life around today and I am eternally grateful. I am new to the area and had been victim of a bad hit and run car accident back in September of last year. Every since the accident, I have been cursed with nothing but bad medical care, inattentive, or money-hungry doctors that dismissed my notes and feedback no matter how detailed I was!
