Front staff sat unhelpful. When told I couldn't access online due to no WiFi, the two receptionists sat there and didn't say a word. Didn't offer WiFi or the contact number for my insurance carrier. Just... sat there. Didn't offer to look up my account, didn't offer to get my connected to my insurance carrier, didn't offer to have me fill out paperwork while they handled it either. I asked for the number and she gave it to me. I walked out to call my carrier, gave her the insurance number. I was brought back after a few minutes (my appointment time was skipped over because of the odd standoff up front). The nurse or PA was quite diligent with his forceful, commanding instructions. Albeit, he was very, very clear on where to turn down the hallway and what door to walk through and what chair to sit in. Would I have been more entertained by his mannerisms had I not had such a bizarre time up front? I don't know if I can honestly answer that. He refused to call me by my middle name, the name I go by. The name on my identity cards, the name on my account even. I decide to explain why I'm frustrated after my experience up front, and apologized for my intensity upon walking in, to which he argued with me about literally every single word that came out of my mouth. Every. Single. Word. Granted, I wasn't the kindest about my front counter experience. I gave him the information he asked for, offered to give him whatever data he couldn't pull up on the computer. Previous bloodwork, ultrasounds etc. then Blood pressure vitals taken etc. I apologize AGAIN and he proceeds to holler at me for the name argument. Telling me I'm arguing with him and he hollers as he storms out of the room. Look... I'm scared. I'm a at specialist because I need a specialist to help me. I don't need front desk to be rude. Complacent. Unhelpful at best. Then the nurse or P.A. To be condescending at unbelievably argumentative. I left without being seen by Dr Tavanaei (don't even know if that's the doctor seeing me because I can't read the name written out on my paperwork they gave me). Now I have to go back to the drawing board and find a nephrologist to see if I'm, you know, dying or something. But hey, so glad that dude feels powerful putting me in my place and the front desk ladies got their job handled. Also... they should inform their patients that their parking garage is cash only. read more

Dr, Glick has cared for me for over 30 years and has always provided great care. I have multiple issues and have dealt with kidney disease for most of my life. His good care has allowed me to live the life I was meant to. read more

Dr. Glick is an excellent nephrologist. He cares for his patients and he is very knowledgeable .

My elderly mom was referred to Dr. Glick two years ago to help manage her chronic kidney disease. As she also has memory issues, I go with her to every medical visit. All of our experiences with Dr. Glick have been very positive. He is always well informed when we arrive for a follow-up (i.e., has read her chart and remembers what the concerns are), he shows care and concern, explains things clearly, and he listens attentively to BOTH of us. It's not often that a doctor gets that balance right when a caregiver attends a visit with the patient. In my experience, they usually either ignore me (even though I'm the one answering most of their questions) or they talk only to me and ignore my mom, who is their patient. Dr. Glick gets it right. My mom leaves the visits feeling that he cares about her health, and I feel confident that her chronic condition is being well managed. read more

I made an appointment with him and when I called his secretary, for some unknown reason, they canceled my appointment which I made more than a month ago and they told me the new appointment will be next month, I explained to them that they did a mistake and should give me a sooner time, they said they can't and did not try to resolve this issue, I can imagine if the office people are so messy, I should not expect much from the Doctor, so I decided to go to another Doctor. read more

So here is my experience with Dr. Glick. I have seen him twice. I was hoping to have a new family doctor to see when needed however this is not the case. The first visit was fine. General check up and annual physical. Text book stuff. The second visit was not so fine. I had some health concerns that I wanted to talk to Dr Glick about and so I called and had an appointment made for me that was over a month away. Not really ok with that but hey I'm hopeful he can help. So the day comes and I go to see the doctor. I say I have some concerns with loosing all my energy after eating a slice of bread sometimes and falling asleep. Feeling like my blood sugar is out of whack. He just says well thats a wild goose chase and there isnt much we can do there, your chart says your fine from last time we met so next question. Ok I thought. I say well I feel my GI tract is not doing so well and that I want to know what he thinks after I tell him my symptoms. Get this, he actually rolled his eyes and says (paraphrasing here) 'well some people go on and one about candida but please'. Essentially saying your making it up so next question. I said well doc I've been have some chest pains. He just says take your shirt off and lets do an ekg and leaves the room never to come back. 10 mins later someone else comes in and says to me 'Are you waiting for something?' YES an ekg. Basically he just didnt answer any of my concerns with anything concrete or concern. I would look else where for someone that wants to treat his patients and listens to their concerns and goes beyond just what the text books say. In my opinion this is not a very forward thinking doctor. read more

Dr. Glick is the best doctor I've ever had. He listens to you and reads your file thoroughly before he meets with you for a visit. I recently had surgery on my left ankle and my other doctor (a surgeon) didn't proscribe any kind of home health care (which was absolutely necessary since I live alone and was ordered to stay off my foot for six weeks by the surgeon). I called Dr. Glick, explained my situation and he made sure this was set up for me. I also had a bladder infection after the surgery and called after hours to get some medication. The nurse practitioner responded within five minutes of my call on a Sunday morning and get the prescription into the pharmacy. Dr. Glick and his staff are friendly, caring and efficient. I had a very good experience with Dr. Glick and his staff - Mayra was helpful getting me in sooner with a cancellation, Manny was very good taking blood, and the office manager, Chuy, was very warm, friendly, helpful, efficient, and prompt with sending copies of the lab tests and the Portal information. read more
