Dan showed up to a very difficult situation at our home in Calabasas. He was able to get my instant hot water system to fit but the overpriced water filter system (ISpring PH100) I purchased wouldn't work. He suggested we install one of his reverse osmosis systems instead. We thought on it for a few days (as I was pretty pissed off) and agreed to have him come back. Dan was able to get our system up and running in less than an hour. I'm a former high rise property and construction manager so my expectations are pretty high. Dan installed our system a few years ago. He's a pleasant guy and we were very happy with the system. He asked to come back once a year to service the system and swap filters. We were happy to pay 100 a year as we hit it off with him but getting him to actually come back has been quite difficult. We've spent the last couple months texting back n forth trying to coordinate with him for appointments. He forgets, doesn't respond or just plain hasn't shown up. We've found a new company and I can't take them at their word because they're competitors but they said that they've heard exactly this story a lot from Dan's customers.... That "Dan has been doing it a long time and has a lot of clients so he's spread very thin and concentrates on new system installs over servicing his existing systems because that's where the money is". My family used to hire Dan to install our filter. The last time he came to my place, I was newly single, and he made very inappropriate sexual comments, such as offering to trade sex for his water services. He also began insulting me for no reason, saying I may as well take him up on his offer for sex since I would never find anyone better than him and that I "spread my misery everywhere I go." Which, I have no idea where he would get an idea like that from since we don't know each other personally, nor has he ever spent any time in my home other than when he came to install the water filter unit. He made me extremely uncomfortable in my own home, to say the least. The only reason I waited a year to leave this review is that the man knew my home address, and anyone who could make such creepy statements, like a text he sent me saying "you need to smile more," could be a threat, in my opinion. If your reverse osmosis system has failed this is the only man you should call. I had a problem with my system. I called Dan from a plumbing website on yelp and he responded quickly. I explained my problem to him and he was able to come by the same day. Dan took the time in going through my whole system. He finally determined that the line from under my sink to my fridge was leaking not allowing water to make ice nor having drinking water from my fridge. Normally, I call a bunch of places and get a few quotes before having work done on my house, but after speaking with Dan, I knew I didn't have to call anywhere else. Not only did he install a reverse osmosis system in my house in a clean and efficient manner, he fixed a leak that was under the sink (not part of his responsibility). Additionally, without any prompting, he put everything that was under the sink BACK, and he did so in an organized fashion. When it comes to water and reverse osmosis systems, Dan is as good as it gets. He's a friendly, chatty guy. He has a good heart and he knows his shit. The only problem is he doesn't seem to run/function on normal time. I recommend him without reservation ... unless you're the type who expects contractors like him to be there early or on time. Great service!! The water in my area is so bad that when I put flowers in a vase and use my regular tap water without the reverse Osmosis system Dan put in, the flower water gets all yucky and the flowers die after 3 days. Then I decided to do an experiment and use the reverse osmosis spigot water installed on my kitchen sink and like magic the flowers last more than a week! And the water looks as clean as when I put it in!!! I now use my reverse osmosis water for everything I ingest..Pasta water, all recipes, I even wash my veggies and fruit with it. And of course my dogs get nothing but Dan's reverse osmosis water. It really opened my eyes to what is going on in the public water system especially around here in Burbank. read more

He was really great on the phone, answered at 730 pm (when I was just planning on leaving him a message) and walked me through troubleshooting, saying, "You might not even need me." I loved how he was so honest, helpful and accommodating. His troubleshooting actually worked, and I didn't need him. I have a "maintenance agreement" (Kinda like a rental) I only pay $25 a month!! It's warrantied for life! I don't have to pay for filter changes or Anything for as long as I have it! He'll even replace it for Free when it eventually dies. I LOVE THAT!! Dan and his Tech Richard personally and professionally installed my system, they took their time and installed it Right!
