I didn't find the used car I wanted. I have 6 requirements including color, sunroof, low mileage, and 3 other features. They consistently showed me cars that came close. Lack of communication. Customer is not treated as if they matter.... Not sure if this review will make a difference. I have seen similar comments in other reviews. Like a lot of people, I feel helpless dealing with these people. I turned my car in over a week ago (on Friday) to have some work done. I was not notified that the car was diagnosed until Tuesday night at 4:30PM. This was through an automated email. Had I not seen it, it would have been ad additional few days to even get the work started. (What happened to the customer relationship?) The part that was needed was not ordered until I called to check on the vehicle. That was Wednesday. I never got a call back from my adviser, just an automated message for me to sign and file to get the work done. On Friday I called and asked to speak to an adviser. No one was available. I then had a friend drive me to the dealership and there were advisers sitting there. I do not know why they could not have taken the call. I spoke to a manager who assured me the car would be available at close of business. He said he would call. He did not. Today I reached out and surprise another sensor. Unfortunately, the diesel part of the business is closed on Saturdays. Are you telling me that you can't have your crew work some overtime to get caught up? Now, diagnosis won't happen until Monday, and I probably won't get notice of another part that needs to be ordered until Tuesday. In the meantime, I asked for a rental car while to use I wait. Surprise, they have no cars to rent out. They won't work with any other companies only the one they own. They will let me know on Monday if any cars are available. In the meantime, I had to pay 30.00 for an uber ride home after dropping off the vehicle and another 30.00 when it ultimately gets finished. How do working people get to work when no help is provided when their car is not available for two weeks? You would think that with 1700.00 worth of work I would be treated with a little more care than I have received. read more

I'm a hotshot trucking owner/operator and I live on the other side of the country. I have a load that I was delivering to Fort Stewart when my Silverado completely died on me. No power no nothing. Obviously, with that being my livelihood, I was stressed about this big time. The initial phone call didn't go so well. I told the lady on the other end of the phone. "don't treat me like I'm some profit margin because I'm so far away from home and this is a big deal for me." I thought my ECM had gone out. She put in a request for a service writer to call me. Dalton called me about half an hour later or so (Not really a big deal it's not like I could go anywhere) and gave me a quote on an ECM based on what my hunch was. He said that they were able to get the part the next day and could start the diagnostics today. So 24 hour turnaround tim. Honestly I was a little skeptical because a lot of places will tell you that and then tell you there's a three week delay, which I could not afford in this case. True to his word, he got me in after I had my truck towed down there and diagnosed. It was not the ECM; it was a wire that had shorted out on the engine block blowing a 175 amp fuse on the power distribution block, killing all power to the vehicle. The even better part is instead of it being $2200 for the repair, it was $600. They even did the recall work and because the cost was so much lower I was able to have them throw in a front brake job on it as well. This happened at 7 o'clock this morning. It is almost 6 PM and I am heading down to pick up my vehicle same day. I can't tell you that you're gonna have the same experience, but this was definitely one of the better experiences I've had when dealing with automotive repair facilities. And based on this experience, I would definitely use Dan Chevrolet again. read more

To start, three services to fix an issue only to be told on the fourth visit (Same Issue ) that I would have paid the cost to repair.I was mislead as to the issue and one would think that a bandage was put on the issue until the warranty was over.During the time of the issue the Services Manager was the person that was advising me.Service Manager at Dan Vaden Chevrolet Stated "Owner was only going to pay half of cost on repair ". They neglected to fix the first, Second and third time of issue ( vechile was under warranty). By far my worst experience with a car dealership that I have had in my whole entire life. We bought a certified used car and was told everything was up to date on service work and all warranty work had been done. Sales department was very clear that they would handle anything that came up. Now we find out that a transmission flush and filter has never been done. Service department was very rude when called asking about what service has been done on the care previously. Sales department is of no help, turned the situation over to the sales manager and he doesn't return phone calls. This has been going on for over a month now. Vaden Chevrolet needs to do the work that should have been done to make this car up to date with Chevrolet so the warranty is not voided. TLDR: Service manager called my husband a nasty name unprovoked, lied about parts issues, had 3 weeks to fix recalls and simply didn't do it. I understand why many reddit users claim this is a business they'll "never step foot in again." Wow wow wow what a horrible experience with a service department. I've grown up with Chevy/GMC's, as has my husband, and we've had at least one the entire time we've been married. Never did I dream that we'd be treated the way we were at this particular location. From misrepresenting about part issues just to try and save a buck, to calling my disabled veteran husband a nasty name when he was collected the entire time- but remained firm in his position. We are young millennials, not the "Karens" you might expect when reading this. But upon further research, I see why this location is featured in a Reddit entitled "Businesses you will never step foot in again." Our truck had to be serviced because of a transfer case/sensor issue and two recalls, and had been at the service department for three weeks. An inconvenience, of course, but necessary; and we made the accommodations for it to be worked on. Finally, we were tired of waiting while this service department argued with the mom-and-pop shop that installed the transfer case last year (that came with a 3yr/100k warranty) about who was liable, because the service manager here claimed the transfer case was leaking fluid. The problem is: we know that was either a lie, or a result of something they had done, because my husband checks for exactly that particular thing all the time. Unfortunately though, at this point it's their word against ours. We live FIVE MINUTES from this dealership, and called to let them know we were coming to get the truck two days ago, but ended up not being able to work it out, then again today. They had 2 extra days to get the recalls done, and when we got there, the manager acted like he had no idea what vehicle were were talking about (with this also pretty darn specific issue) when we said "hey we're here to pick up the black '15 sierra with the transfer case issue." Just dismissive right from jump. One of the short, female service department members with platinum blonde hair also interacted with us using flippant, disregarding hand gestures, and Derrick (the service manager) called my husband an "a**" as we were leaving because we weren't willing to wait hours for his technician to get back from lunch and THEN fix the recalls, nor were we willing to pay out of pocket for something that was certainly being misrepresented to us. For those of you who don't know, you can still drive a truck in 2WD and not bother with the transfer case, so regardless of which shop was responsible for that part's failure, they should have fixed the recalls within those 3 weeks- one of which was a BIG safety hazard. We're pretty patriotic (obviously) and loyal to GM, and have had good experiences with dealerships in other cities so I'm pretty galled by this shop. read more

First: "oh you should let us fix this, this, and this on your car you purchased only 6 months ago!" We opted to only fix what was absolutely needed at this time... rear wheel bearings, brakes, and rotors! Quote: $1,295! BUT ... the kicker?! We have a FULL Toyota warranty... guy says "well try here rusted and I've NEVER seen a warranty company cover it because it's a rusted part which is due to environmental conditions... Call finance manager who checks with service advisor at the place we purchased the vehicle (I'm super good friends with him)... he says there's no way they rusted unless there was a SEAL FAILURE on the bearings which IS a covered issue! Call back... ironically "ok no worries let me check"... So now I'm thinking they just want to charge me PLUS the warranty company... so I wait... Call back... surprise! It's covered BUTTTT... there are a few "things" they won't cover, mumbles about parts and such... gives me a quote now of $215.19! call my guy back from original dealership... he says "nah that's bogus!! I have a $0 deductible and zero dollars is zero dollars! He says "your warranty covers parts, labor, AND diagnostics!" You aren't getting my money... and I hope this prevents others from getting scammed! For gods sake, word of mouth goes a long way, treat people better and you might just get some better reviews! Sadly my experience with this Dealership was a sad and pathetic one. I am about 99% sure they did not start working on my car until I called to remind them it existed. I took my car in for a 0930 appt on 9/16 and now it is 3pm on 9/22 and they still have not finished. To make matters sadder I did not even receive a diagnosis until about 1030 on 9/20. That is over 3 days since I believe they are closed on Sunday. I also called on Tuesday 9/19 and they promised they would call me back even if it was after hours. I believe them but Unfortunately that was a lie. I am supposed to leave GA soon and found a place to get cheaper tires. (I needed new ones) Because Cadillac drug their feet I now no longer have a new tire plan. I write this still not having my car. I originally believed setting an appointment mattered and waited 3 days to even bring the car in. So far this was all a mistake and I should've just drove to another dealership. I told them it had been in an accident and I needed to know if that was what caused it. They insisted that no, it wasn't. So I go ahead and pay. Was ready to purchase a new Trailblazer. ..Until we they told us about the "required" additional purchase of a package that included all-weather floor mats, special wheel locks of some sort, and tinted windows for a total of a little over $5,000. We talked a bit about it with one another and decided we didn't want those upgrades. The salesperson said it was non-negotiable, if we wanted the vehicle for the price we were quoted, we HAD to add on the additional package and pay the extra $5,000. We were a bit shocked, so we questioned him. Yes, he made it clear. If we didn't pay for the extra package, we wouldn't get any new Trailblazer. So, we left. Drove a bit to Woody Folsom Chevy in nearby-ish Baxley, GA and got the EXACT vehicle, slightly lower price and no mandatory extra package. So worth the drive - saved $5,000. Unbelievable. read more

But, I just got a follow up call from another dealership, after having taken my car in for an oil change yesterday, to make sure everything was good with the vehicle. This left me thinking about all the times I had my car and truck ('17 Cadillac ATS, '18 Silverado, purchased from Vaden in the same week in '18), and they not only didn't call, they kept my vehicle for DAYS without returning MY call, wondering what was happening. The ATS has been traded, and the Silverado is out of warranty, and can be serviced pretty much anywhere, so this is mostly to explain to anyone who's job includes reading these reviews why Vaden will never get another dime from me. Also wanted to give a special shout out to Dan, the Service Manager, who I watched tell an elderly gentleman that no, his car would not be ready that afternoon, even though it was promised for hours earlier, and (this is the best part) that the shuttle driver that could have driven the gentleman home, had left for the day. I showed up at 12:45 and they said they don't have an appointment for me and when they looked they said that it was at 11:30 but I told them about the confirmation email and voicemail they left me saying 1 PM. I I came in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. Four hours later they gave me my vehicle back with 10 more miles than I brought it in with the seat, steering wheel column, rearview mirror, and side mirrors all adjusted. Do not take your car to Vaden right now. PERIOD. Maybe when they have the new facility up and running it might be worth the visit but for now they are a total mess. Service was as expected but impossible to find if your not a regular there because it's in some random trailers because they are currently building a new service center. "Understandable" however, I have to drive my 2017 ZO6 into a dirt/muddy drive path and into an outdoor shed like carport.. and wait 4.5 hours for a single oil change. I was dropped off by their car shuttle service at a restaurant nearby.. about 2 miles away... which was nice of them to do but when I called to get a ride back approximately 2.5 hours later "one hour before the car was going to be done" they never called me, left me there at the restaurant and I had to walk back.. When I get back to their horrible set up they have.. I waited another hour.. and was told it was being taken off the lift and it would be done quickly... not the case. After I was told this.. it was nearly another hour from the point at which I began to complain that I need to leave... Staff, they did all they could. Nice as usual.. but didn't seem genuine with their approach. I'm not by any means picky but I can tell you I was not happy driving my new ZO6 on a muddy dirty driveway that looked like an entrance to a trailer park or "billy bobs" garage in his back yard. I was not at all happy they left me at the restaurant and I certainly hated the amount of time quoted 2.5 hours was doubled for no apparent reason?? DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE. There were problems getting title to my car that I thought were Vaden's fault, but apparently DMV has been really bad during the COVID era. As it turned out, I had to sell my car due to health reasons. There was a significant delay getting the extended warranty plans cancelled, Vaden admitted that it was their mistake, and they are taking care of that to my satisfaction. Unfortunately, that took several calls. My best assessment is that the DMV screwup soured me on Vaden and made the warranty cancellation problem excessively irritating. In talking to the general manager right now, and in previous conversations with the dealership, there is a case to be made that they're really trying to do a good job. Found one we liked signed paperwork and then was told the vehicl'e's check engine light was on and there was a problem with the suspension (it was coming from another store). We searched their inventory and found another vehicle that was also at another location and had to be delivered. we are from out-of-town and had to stay in a hotel another night. Waited five hours in the dealership to sign paperwork for this transaction. Came in the next morning around Noon only to be told that the second vehicle needs a part and it is not available. I purchased my 2011 Chevy Silverado in October from the dealership in Pooler. I forgot to check the service records before purchasing the vehicle only to find out that the spark plugs had not been changed and that none of the recommended services had been done prior. I took my truck in for the complimentary oil change only to be advised that the spark plugs need to be replaced yet they perform a safety check to make sure the vehicle is drivable and that they can get the sale..
