Dance Xplosion has been very supportive! For some backstory, I danced before Covid, but took a long break afterwards due to a busy schedule. Coming back to ballet as a teen was tough, and I was struggling to find classes that would accommodate my beginner status and more advanced age (compared to the younger kids that would be in the same level) elsewhere. I was very pleasantly surprised when I called the lovely front desk there and learned that there was a perfect class for me! My instructors have been incredible and always kind and supportive, and I can't wait to continue dancing with them! I've grown so much as a dancer with this establishment, and it has brought so much joy to me! I would like to add that I once experienced a panic attack during class due to external stress with school, and the staff handled it perfectly and helped me out so much! They are also always willing to help with scheduling and leveling issues. I love this place and will continue to dance with them until I graduate in two short years! read more

My daughter has been dancing with this organization for eight years since she was 2 1/2 years old this year. The support staff at the location were continually short and rude with my wife. When you try to bring up the fact that these events occur the owners of the company, instantly dismiss and don't even acknowledge that your concerns are valid, the instructors are really great but the owners of the company do not hold their staff accountable for their rude behavior. If you ever try to stand up for your child, or for yourself with their staff, they will instantly remove you from the program. read more

I was disappointed by this place after all the good reviews. I want to give it 2.5 stars but I'll round up. We signed up for a full summer of classes, which was two sessions. Pros: They have a program for 2 year olds, which is very rare. Most places have classes for older kids (3+). The main teacher is excellent. We have had 2 classes with her this summer and she is very kind, patient, and positive with the kids. She is very in touch with the abilities of 2 year olds and has many short group activities planned for the class, that suits the kids' short attention span while keeping everyone involved and active. Cons: No communication. Before the class started we didn't get any emails about what to expect or bring or where to even meet. This last part would have been especially helpful because there are two locations very close to one another and 3 moms (including myself) showed up at the wrong one, only to be told to drive down the street. There was also no hello, I'm the teacher, here's how it works, etc. They just walk out and say "two year olds?" and take them into the classroom and shut the door. There are cameras in the classrooms that broadcast onto big TV screens in the lobby, but I still thought it was weird. Different instructor every time. My daughter never developed a rapport with anyone because it was a different person almost every class. Some teachers were kind and great, others really shouldn't have been teaching toddlers. One teacher had them waiting on the floor by the wall for 10 minutes while each student did an exercise. Not only will a bunch of two year olds not sit that long, in not paying for my kid to sit for 10 straight minutes of a 45 minute class. Sitting a few minutes jere and there, ok, but some teachers would have been better suited to older students. read more

First of all there are some good teachers here and they are very convenient for Circle C area moms and for most of you that is all that matters. But there is a dark side to Dance Explosion. My joy filled confident 10 year old daughter looooved to dance. She was (and still is) good at it. She was on a company team and they won awards and did very well. Unfortunately my daughter went through early puberty. Her body started to change much too early. It was horrifying for her but we kept our head up and accepted God's plan. Time for year 2 of company and my daughter was the only girl who was not asked to come back. It was painfully obvious that a little girl with growing boobs who was a little taller did not fit the look of the group. My confident joy filled dancer was crushed. Many tears and depression followed. When confronted with this, Amber Frischman put on her Dance Mom face and told us tough luck - she isn't good enough.. Donald Trump shows more compassion. I watched all her shows. She never once made a mistake. She was then and is now as good of a dancer as any on her team. To this day she is not the same confident girl she was. Dance Explosion robbed my daughter of the confidence they claim to build. I wish we had never stepped foot in the doors of that place. If you live within range of another studio, I encourage you to remember this story and think about other options. This is especially true if you plan on pursuing competitive dance. On the brite side, my daughter is a successful dancer in HS (on her school's dance team). She can dance. She is good at it. Her team has won competitions with her as one of the anchors. Oh, be prepared to give up every Memorial Day weekend in town. That is when they have their dance recitals. read more

My daughter seemed to love this dance place. I had to cancel for personal reasons but Adam was quick to respond and make sure I didn't get charged for the next month. You can tell they are focused on their business all the time. My daughter is now at a dance preschool otherwise we would surely come back. The only reason why I have 3 stars is because I would love to be able to practice her technique she learned but parents cannot be in the classroom and view from a tiny window or a TV screen with no sound. Pictures of them dancing is not really an option. As a teacher I get that moms can be a distraction. Maybe they could do a once a month 30 minute "parents welcome in class" session just so us obsessed mommies can get pictures of our princesses in their over the top expensive dance wear. ;) read more

My daughter is EXTREMELY shy. . .unlike her mother. She was very nervous going in to her first ballet class. The teachers here are amazing. They saw that she was having a difficult time, and went in to spend some one on one time with her. By her second lesson, you would never have known she was nervous. She did great and I was so relieved. We are definitely going back for more. They also sell ballet and tap shoes here and have great outfits for the kiddos. They also offer discounts for multiple classes. Do it. You won't regret it. read more

My 3 year old daughter loves going to dance class. She asks several times a week if it is time to go to dance class. The instructors are enthusiastic, patient, and talented. I cannot believe how much progress she has made. I respect the owners greatly because of their suburb customer service skills. Their attention to detail is pretty impressive. We are so pleased that we have signed up for two classes this summer. read more

I can not say enough GREAT things about this place. We love it. Each instructor is so cheerful and they make it such a welcoming environment. You can just feel the great energy in the room. The place is kept so neatly. The owners and directors are very friendly and are eager to answer any question you might have , I can tell this is not just a place of employment for everyone there it's their passion. Very disappointing. I live close by so it seemed like a convenient place to go. However everyone from the front desk to the instructors were extremely unhelpful and had a terrible bedside manner. This place is really geared towards kids but they have expanded their adult classes to include early evenings and Saturday morning. Instruction is much cheaper per class when you buy up to 30 of them on a class pass. read more

My daughter's have danced at DXP for 2 going on 3 years. I have seen so much improvement in their overall technique since they started. The studio is run with kindness and professionalism. The Instructors are AMAZING and truly challenge the students to their full potential. My girl's love dance even more after joining the DXP Family and continue to dance competitively with DXP Company. I am so happy that we have found our "forever dance home"! I am thrilled that my girl's are learning the newest dance skills/choreography whether it be ballet, lyrical, jazz, tap or hip hop. We love DXP! Both my kids have taken classes here off and on over the past 4 years. Last fall we tried another studio only b/c my daughter wanted to take a class with a friend whose schedule didn't work with the DXP class schedule. What a mistake that was! In comparison to DXP, the other studio was extremely disorganized and unprofessional. So we returned to DXP and we are so glad to be back! Adam and Amber run a great business and everyone is always friendly and professional. Business and financial matters are handled efficiently. We love that they make dance fun and that they are more relaxed and flexible with things like the dress code, yet they still seem to teach a high level of skills and proper form. The variety of classes and ability to make up and try out different types of dance is also great. The summer camps are great too! I can't say enough great things about DXP. read more

My grandson is in the Hip Hop class and he loves it. enjoys the new friends he has made and he's always talks it up to his friends trying to get more of his friends to sign up. I am so glad we found Dance Xplosion!!! read more
