But I think if potential customers have a choice to pick a teacher then it's in their best interest to know what happened with my daughters former teacher. I am copying and pasting some from my original email to the owner as it's a real time (back then) depiction of what happened. "This message is for the owner. This is ashley and my daughter hazel is enrolled in the cotton candy 2-5year old Saturday class. During today's class, midway through, miss Jennifer picked up my daughter and brought her to the lobby where she ushered her to me exclaiming "I can't do this anymore." I have many thoughts I want to express and I'll do my best to do so in an efficient but clear manner. Of course, her being two years old, she doesn't listen too well just yet but she certainly has a great time at these classes regardless. She doesn't hit any one, bite any one, scream or kick but she does play well with others and especially likes [Another students] company. Her and [student] had a great time today playing in class and I do acknowledge that hazel can be a distraction at times but again she is only 2 and at this age I imagine the classes essential purpose is for fun right now. I felt miss Jennifer kicking hazel out of class was unwarranted. There are more constructive ways of handling these type of things and getting flustered and making one girl leave in this manner (although both girls were having fun) felt targeted. Besides [student] and hazel, the other two girls were still dancing and participating so I'm not sure why it got blown out of proportion like this. I feel disappointed in how the situation was handled entirely. Hazel taking direction is a work in progress and sometimes she has good days and not so good days; but again she is just 2 years old. If the expectation is that the children must follow direction at all times then 2 year olds probably shouldn't be invited to dance. We have come pretty steady to all classes since enrolling, dressed up for the Halloween party, brought snacks and drinks; brought a friend to bring-a-friend to dance week (who ended up enrolling); pretty much we have tried our best to participate And i feel we were treated unfairly and swiftly. At this time do please cancel my daughters enrollment and discontinue further payment. I'm happy to speak with you further if you'd like to call me." The owner seemed sincere in her apology and suggested hazel take a class with a different teacher but I didn't feel comfortable bringing her back there. In fact I found out later from my friend whose girl danced in that class, the teacher Jennifer made it a point to praise the remaining students for listening at the end of class and it was extremely obnoxious.

In one hour we did some warm up, learned some spins, did exercises that pushed our limits and then learned a short routine that we were able to perform by the end of class! So fun! Did you know that California has an official state dance? Well, we do and it is called West Coast Swing. Once a month there is a West Coast Sing Dance held here at this studio which has a fabulous dance floor. Ask about weekly lessons as I saw signs that indicated they had them. The dance floor here is beautiful and dances well. There were couches and chairs enough for most people to sit when they were't dancing. The restroom was tiny and reached through a narrow twisting hallway all the way in the back but was immaculately clean. The entire front wall of the space is floor to ceiling windows giving people on the street a great view of what is going on inside. I know from the name that there are yoga classes here. There was also a sign on the back wall that indicated that classes were held in a room upstairs by Pole~licious, a Platinum Stages sponsored pole fitness studio. For those who don't know - Platinum Stages are one of the top quality manufacturers of pole dancing poles and supplies in the world. My pole dancing studio back in Bakersfield, Polga Fitness, uses 15 foot spinning poles manufactured by Platinum Stages. We're talking the best, folks! We started out with the first class and my daughter instantly asked if we can sign up her up. You pay $92 every 4 weeks, one class per week. You also need to purchase a $40 dollar membership. The class itself lasts around 40 minutes The staff are so friendly and great with the kids. They offer different types of dance classes, all ranging from little to big kids. The kids will then perform the routine they just learned for us parents and to end, a little family dance party. It really the cutest place; I'm so happy with them!

Once we got there we were given a tour of the studio and introduced to many of the instructors making us feel welcome at the studio. Our package includes private lessons, group lessons and parties. This incident occurred back in April, but I felt it was still critical to share my experience so…read moreother parents are aware. Especially if you plan on enrolling for the last class of the day. During a lesson scheduled from 7:00 to 7:30 PM, my daughter was sent outside unattended to look for my car because the instructor claimed I was "late." By 7:31 PM, she was already standing outside next to my vehicle. Not only does this mean she was not receiving the full instructional time we paid for, but sending a child outside into a parking lot without confirming a parent is present is a major safety hazard and a breakdown of proper release procedures. When I emailed management twice to raise these serious safety concerns and request an immediate cancellation, I never received a reply, an apology, or even an acknowledgment that my emails were received. Instead, I just got a cold, generic notification that the classes were canceled. To make matters worse, no refund was ever issued for the lost instructional time or the abrupt cancellation due to their safety oversight.

Jessica would not respond to calls, emails or text. Her contract states a $300 refundable deposit is required. In June I'm still emailing asking for my deposit. She finally writes back after days stating she the deposit will be processed. July and she still did not refund me. So I give her a written 10 day notice stating if my deposit is not refunded I plan to take legal action. On July 24 she refund my deposit with an email stating she was traveling and if I had asked for an update would provided the same outcome. She rudely says she wish me the best with my future events but elsewhere. You kept my money for 3 1/2 month begging for it
