Ok, so we have been here many times, but I have to say today the service was absolutely horrendous, we stood for over 10 minutes to get waited on with only 1 person in front of us!! But I thought before I would write the review I would wait for the food. We ordered the pretzels and sauce for an "appetizer" plus a pizza and turkey sandwich. To be honest the pizza was a little bland, but the wife said the sandwich (Ginger Rogers) actually tasted pretty good. The pretzels I would love to tell you about but they came after the meals and by than we were pretty full so we are taking them home?? But really who brings the meal before the appetizer?? Super disappointed!! I was truly hoping for better!! But there are a lot of wineries out there and we will continue to visit and taste each one but honestly this will most likely be the last at this one!! read more

Great afternoon spent at Dancing Dragonfly winery. We had some wine in mind but after chatting with the very knowledgeable Judy, decided on a different wine that was excellent. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon to enjoy the patio. We should have made a reservation so we could sit in the shade, though (no tables in the shade were available at the time we went). Dancing Dragonfly Winery is a lovely spot to enjoy a wine tasting and a snack, lunch or lite dinner. The setting is so beautiful and the staff welcomed us the second we arrived. Judy was especially accommodating and kind. She explained the wine in the wine flight we ordered along with the paired bites and was very knowledgable about everything. We enjoyed our wine flight and lunch on the patio overlooking the rows of grapes and I truly felt at peace. When we were leaving and making our wine purchase, Judy took the extra time to explain their Wine Club benefits and we gladly joined. We will begin receiving our Club bottles of wine next month and are really looking forward to them. The Yoga in the Vineyard and Art at the Winery events are already on my calendar! I have been to Dancing Dragonfly several times and each time it is a wonderful experience! Staff are friendly and helpful, and they have some really wonderful wines. Sometimes wines in this region are not my favorite due to the limited varieties of grapes that can grow here - BUT DD does a nice job with having some great dry, full-bodied reds as well. Secondly, we had two wood-fired pizzas that were wonderful. The chef brought both of them out to us and he was passionate about his craft and loved sharing it with us. It really made my night. Very confusing as to what we were supposed to do. Wanted to taste their wine. The process set us back and by the time we got two wine flights and paired mini suggested food pairings, the wine tasting was a bust. Hostess gave us a table, wine person told us to choose a table. Wine person explained the pairings to which my wife and I did not understand their directions. CONFUSING PROCESS. Just visiting but would come back. This is a really awesome place with beautiful grounds, great food and an excellent wine selection. I was here right after things started to open up after Covid19 lockdowns. They had line spaced, minimized the # of people on the tasting room, had tables spaced, and all the staff wore masks. Great live music outside too! read more

My wife and I stopped for a tasting during a weekend getaway celebrating our anniversary. Very romantic setting, in a lovely building. There was a wedding in the field among the grape vines. We enjoyed a nice variety of wines. The sandwiches and pizzas coming out to the tables around us looks delicious. I have been to this winery twice. Unfortunately I signed up for their wine club pre-covid. Due to the pandemic I was unable to visit the winery. However I continued to be charged a quarterly fee even though I could not go to get the wine I should have. At this point I have been charged many times and I am trying to cancel the membership. I have been unable to reach the winery via phone on NUMEROUS attempts. You are unable to reach a person. I have also emailed attempts with no response. I would never recommend becoming a member because it will cost you way more money than it is worth. My next step is going to have to drive to the winery again to cancel in person which should not be necessary in 2021. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! Their food is off the hook. They have a pizza oven from Italy and they know how to use it. They have a wonderful assortment of pizzas and always a new pizza every month. The crusts are perfection, not too thin and not too thick. Their toppings are very artisanal, fresh, and unique. They have a variety of other food items as well including a cheese and meat board. They offer wine flights that are beautifully presented and showcase their wines wonderfully. I like to grab a bottle (or two), head out back, relax, and enjoy the GORGEOUS view of the winery. Came here as part of a bus tour. The staff was welcoming and our group was seated in the upstairs area. We sampled 3 wines, I enjoyed all of them. The desert wine, the Lindy was one of my favorites. We also enjoyed grilled flatbread and several types of their wood fired pizza. Everything was really good. We also had a nice tour of their production facility, which was really cool. I definitely want to come back in the summer months! The outdoor area looks great, would love to come back and have more wine and pizza. read more

My fiancée and I were celebrating her birthday and this one was close to our hotel. So, we decided to try it out after dinner. Well, it was gorgeous and the wine tastings were very good. The white wines were sweet and better than we expected from other wine tastings. Plus, the outdoor view was even better with the setting sun. Great winery! I went here yesterday for a wine tasting and loved it. I wasn't too sure at first because the space was so large, crowded, a little formal and not so intimate like I like my wineries to be. It took a little scooting around to get to a spot at the bar for a tasting because there were so many people crowded around it. The lady assisting us was a great combination of hilarious and sweet. My wine palet isn't completely developed yet, and I can be kind of picky when it comes to wine. I teeter between not too dry, but I don't want to be drinking juice either. I seriously loved each wine tasting I had. I also tried my boyfriend's samples and loved those as well. Their menu is nicely laid out from dry to sweetest which was really helpful. We sat outside with our last sample and it was beautiful. A lot of trees and landscape that was wonderful to see with the leaves turning colors. read more

Very nice winery... Attended with a group of ladies on a wine & limo tour. Had a private tasting up in the "board room" as the main room was being held for a private function (wedding). The $10 tasting fee included the wine glass and 5 tastings. For an additional fee, we were able to head down to the bar area for additional tastings. This Winery was the last on our Winery tour and by the time we got here, it was pretty late. They were having a wedding reception and it looks like a beautiful venue for this type of celebration. We actually decided not to do a tasting here but like the other yelpers say, it is $10 and you get your glass..Not a bad deal! Why I more than likely will not return, is, it appeared most of the people doing wine tastings were standing at the bar and I don't care for that...I like to sit down and relax and then get up and get another tasting. I know! I know! Standing is good for you but not while I am drinking my 40th tasting of wine for the day... The man who told us about the tasting was very pleasant and the staff seemed super friendly so it most definitely seems like a great place! read more

My friends and I did a wine tour today and this was by far my favorite winery! The tasting is $10 and you even get to get to take the wine glass home. They have live acoustic music every other Sunday and some fun events throughout the summer. Not only was the wine great but the food is also spot on! We ordered 2 pizzas and a flatbread with dips. Our favorite was the garlic and arugula dip and the Gregory Hines pizza. We enjoyed these on the back patio that overlooked the vineyard. I ended up taking home a bottle of the Cha Cha wine which was very affordable ($18). They also have a cute gift shop that is not overpriced. read more

Sunday afternoon we drove to 'The Dancing Dragonfly' in Taylor's Fall and had a fabulous time! Spending time with 'Darla' made us feel like we were family! Her knowledge of wines..the food menu..and her overall ability to make us feel so welcomed was inspiring! We were on our first 'Match' date and couldn't have asked for a more delightful experience! This was our second winery stop on a snowy winter day and it didn't disappoint! We enjoyed the atmosphere, workers, and of course the wine! We felt they had a great variety of all wines, but really fell in love with the deep and complex reds. We normally don't care for sweet wines, but ended up buying a few bottles of dessert wine - Tango Raspberry Wine (ABSOLUTELY delicious) and Bill's Bossa Nova. Can't wait to return! read more

Love the wine, so-so on the winery. Some thoughts: -The wine is flavorful, especially if you're into sweet wine, which not a lot of wineries do a good job producing. -The outdoor seating, when available, is relaxing and tranquil. There are lots of tables but you aren't neck-and-neck with your neighbors. -The policy of "you must purchase a glass to do a tasting" is awful and scammy. A deposit based on returning the glass in good condition I would fully understand; forcing you to buy a glass I do not. (Return trips you have a $5 "discount" on a wine tasting if you show your glass) -The service is awful during busy periods, with guests standing and blocking the whole bar while the staff does not try to find guests who are trying to get their attention. Overall I love the wine - but go and buy a bottle (the Tango, Promenade, and Ballet are favorites) but have low expectations if you're there on a busier period. read more

Just attended Valentines dinner at Dancing Dragonfly Winery. Lake Elmo Inn catered it. This event was WAY overpriced!!! Food was very average in tiny portions. Wine pairings were very good and wine was good. The host added a second desert wine at the end of the meal. I guess he didn't want us to feel too ripped off for our $85 per plate meal. The chef introduced the courses and he didn't seem too excited about them. He assured us we would love the spare ribs & we wouldn't go away hungry. I'm guessing our spare rib portion was 3 to 4 ounces... Not quite so filling and just average in taste. Go there for the wine. This meal was a terrible value. read more

There unfortunately isn't much good I can say about this "winery." The people were so so (didn't know what port was mixed with but it wasn't mixed with everclear, umm what?) the wine was horrendous (chilled reds?), and the price was outrageous for what you got ($10 a tasting, for a small single tasting). I am not one to complain but this is not good wine at all, this isn't even cheap "wine." What a tourist trap this is. I will NOT be back. For a winery that's been open two years, they should've spent more time perfecting their wines instead of creating this opulent tasting room. read more
