I do miss having the coupon cut out where you get a discount. I also dislike how long the lines always are and them only having two registers open. It seems like I spend more time waiting in line to purchase the items I picked up than actual shopping in the store but it's worth it to stay in those long lines to get the deals I get so no use in me complaining.

They have an amazing selection and I highly recommend coming here if in need for something specific. I was in such a celebratory mood and then the rudest employee came over and rushed us. My mother and I wanted to compare fabrics. We had taken one fabric to another part of the store to put another fabric side by side. Then we started to begin discussing measurements. This employee that came over said "are you buying the material or not because if not I have to put it back for other customers". Totally understandable we were very willing to put it back, but it's not what you say it's how you say it. He picked up the fabric we had. I let him know we are totally fine putting it back, but we were planning on buying some, we were just calculating measurements. He asked if we needed help figuring it out like he wanted us to hurry up, and I said no my mom was a math teacher, then he said well I'll put it on the table and you tell me how much you need, which again we didn't know. We were trying to do the math and weren't ready, that's whole reason why we were standing there! We are doing a huge project that needed some thought we don't want to get too much or too little since this store is an hour away from us. He took the fabric to the counter when we weren't ready and unfolded it. So we then were trying to figure it out at the counter which was so awkward because then someone got behind us in line. I was like why are you rushing us!? Don't you want to help the person behind us first? I looked at the employee and he was tapping his nails on the counter like he was annoyed. The whole interaction was just so rude. I know it doesn't sound like that much written down, the attitude was just so passive aggressive. I told my mom to gather her things so we could leave and discuss outside away from this man so other customers could be taken care of first and because I don't like people disrespecting my mom I needed to get out of that situation. I understand if this employee was about to go on his lunch, but he didn't have to interrupt us at all. He could have left us alone. We would have figured out the math and came to the counter when we were ready. He could have put back the material and said come to us when you are ready. Someone else could have rung us up. But no obviously this man can't read the room, doesn't have social skills, or customer service skills. Because of this I don't care how good the store is, I will not be back.

A lovely little quilt shop built into an old home. Fabrics of all colors and patterns are packed into here, on shelves or even pews, making for an enjoyable browsing experience. They also sell plenty of other useful items/tools for quilting. Many gorgeous quilts hang from the walls above your head, serving as inspiration. If you're looking for inspiration, they also sell tons of pattern/instruction sets, as well as fabric bundles that have the exact right amount of fabric already enclosed. I always like to make my own patterns, but they had a great variety of them at different challenge levels. Everything was reasonably priced around $12/yd. What impressed me most about this shop was its employees, who were very friendly and affable. Their interest in chatting you up about your on-going projects and the like felt genuine, not just a customer-service schtick. The proprietor even showed me her "long arm" machine in the back room, which she had set up actively stitching away on a massive quilt, laying out a stunning stitched pattern. Really neat getting to see it in action! There is also a nice bathroom inside the shop (and more quilts to admire while you go, haha!). Glad to have found this place! Recently got into sewing and stopped by to check this store out. The service was amazing. The staff…read morewere so friendly and really seemed to enjoy helping me / doing their work. I guess that's just what happens when you support local owned / small businesses. Definitely won't get that at the big chain stores. They had a big selection of fabric designs, including universities like UTSA, A&M, UT, etc. Good prices here too. I did not see any knit or specialty fabrics, as well as no sewing machines for sale or foot attachments. I did see some needles though. This store is more quilting-oriented, which they offer affordable classes and product sets for beginners. I highly recommend still stopping and shopping here if you are grabbing some basic fabrics or like quilting.

I was planning on getting 4 yards backing and thread. No one else was in the store but us. After several minutes walking around, neither of the ladies asked me what I was looking for or if I needed help finding anything and really didn't seem to care. I walked by them again and nothing. I said thank you as I exited the store. I ended up buying my materials at Joann Fabrics online. I feel like I was snubbed just because my son was with me. Either way, I have unsubscribed from their emails and will not be setting foot in this place since I did not feel welcomed. So much for supporting a local small business. Update - Hi Tish, in response, it was Jan 23rd around 3pm, so not a full month ago, but roughly 2 weeks ago. If someone would at least have acknowledged me, I would have felt welcomed. That's all.
