Took my Ford escape in to them to fix my transmission and had it for a couple of weeks then told me it was fixed and charged me all most $1500 and I only had it for a couple days and was having trouble with the transmission and took it back to them under there supposed guarantee and had it for almost 3 months and then told me that they couldn't fix the problem and turned around and charged me another $500 for doing nothing to fix it in order to get my car back. Tried to talk to the supposed Manager and he was a total joke and shouldn't be running a place like that. Now I will have to take them to small claims court and deal with all that headache in order to try and get my money back. In my opinion do not have any work done there or you want be happy. read more

The worst experience I have ever had!!! Very disrespectfu! poor customer service poor communication and no accountability

My wife's engine light kept coming in and going off again & again.Couldn't find the cause. Called Ben at Danco, all-ways pleasant and kind they all are, had me bring it in checked it on there equipment told me what it was & how much $ I'd be paying. Got the car back two days later( because the car has two sensors for coolant so we had to wait for the shop to send the second one. Three mos later still Ron's fine and oh yeah that problem fixed the ac just like they told me it would. read more

My car was at the dealership and they said they could put a new transmission in in 2 days for 6300, not used or rebuilt. I thought I would call around and see if I had options. Because that was a lot of money. Danco was the one who answered and told me to bring it in they could probably save me a lot just because they could probably fix it. This is where the problems start. Let's just say they had the car for almost 2 months. There was 0 communication throughout the process. They do not call you with updates, even when they say they will, and don't do anything until you've called them. I saw the car sitting out back not being touched the entire time. I go by there many times a day I would constantly check. They were unable to fix it and having already waited more than a month at this point I needed something done. They didn't tell me up front before bringing the car in that they would need $1800 in labor just to see if they could fix it and didn't tell me this until the car sat there for over a month. Now that they've decided they can't fix it, which they were supposed to update me in two days what the verdict was became me calling them for an update in 2 weeks to find they had an answer but just didn't bother to tell me. The answer was it was going to cost 6300 for a rebuilt Trans (not new). I said hey that's what the dealership quoted me for a new one 2 months ago. He said well they don't add the tax in and we do. Well I was already in this for the $1800 in labor they didn't mention until the car had sat there for way to long so I didn't have much of a choice. He said they could get the Trans and get in the car in 5 days but made me pay the Trans up front. I waited 2 more weeks and didn't hear anything so I called in. Lo and behold the car was magically done. How long had it been there waiting for me? No idea because these guys don't communicate. So this cost me the same as a new one at the dealership and took over 2 months to get done. I drive a sports car and was spending $60 on premium gas every other day driving my wife back and forth to her jobs. Could have saved thousands on just gas if I had just let the dealer do it. I like to support the local little guys but I think I'm going to have to rethink this strategy in the future. read more

Nice, friendly family operated business. I was not sure who to contact to repair my brakes. Found this business. Donna answered when I called and she sounded very nice and courteous. The waiting area was decent compared to the tiny shops I have gone to before, especially important because I had to wait to drive my car home. I was impressed with another customer who told me she would not go to any other auto repair shop because of their good service which gave me relief. Price was comparable, no complaints. This will probably be my go to for auto repair. read more

My experience at Danco was refreshing and positive. I have a Mini Cooper and it is hard to find mechanics who know what they are doing with my little European mutt! Joe is amazing and the price was incredibly reasonable. They were packed with cars when I was there so others obviously know the quality of the work they do too! I called to discuss my 2010 Nissan Murano transmission issues. The service person said... we repair..it's expensive to replace. I said will not replace. The car sat there for three days over the 4th holiday. Paid a fee to get repairs started. However...Received a call back and said now it needs repair for @$6000. Scams! Do not go here. read more

I lucked out when I found Danco Transmission. I have taken my car there for a few years now and I have never been dissatisfied. Family owned company that will treat you like family. They truly go above and beyond. I feel like Donna Stewart is a second mom to me. I know I definitely claim her. As a single woman some car shops will take advantage of that but not Danco. How can you charge someone thousands to fix there car for it to do exactly same thing? Less then a week after repairs ?????

I worked with Joe at Danco and he was great. I had them conduct a pre-purchase inspection on a pre-owned vehicle I was considering. Since I don't live in the area, I relied on previous reviews to try to find a reputable shop to be my eyes. I love this place and the people who work here :) they are extremely helpful and understanding and are HONEST. They dont try to trap you into paying for things you dont need. And they actually CARE. Its the best thing ever when you find a good honest family owned business with people that actually worry about their customers instead of people who are all about money and could care less about the quality of their work. They fixed it, at the quoted price (less than 1/3 that of the dealer). Oh what a memory I have from this time just last year. My car and I drove gingerly into Danco, knowing my transmission was bad after my usual mechanic checked it out.He told me "It's the transmission, I don't replace them, but i recommend Danco" It was just a couple days before Christmas..i needed to go home to my family, hours away.What was i going to do?? They checked it out for me, no charge and showed me plainly with drawing and detailed info, what was wrong. I needed to replace this transmission on my 20 year old MUCH loved,Cougar XR7. An expense I could not afford at this time. The concerned, helpful owner, Donna,introduced herself, told me the history of this family owned company and steered me to some savings possibilities I didn't know about and the man who looked at my car also assisted me in getting approval for a repair credit card that met my need completely...with a 6 month same as cash deal !. This was a Godsend. and my only hope. They called me a day later saying they had a transmission there that was perfect for my car , which another customer had ordered but didn't use. This was another savings on the repair bill. My car was complete just a couple days after Christmas, due to the concern, compassion and professionalism of this company. Oh I knew they were good. About 15 years earlier they replaced the transmission in a car I had just inherited from my dad. Perfect work and transaction.
