    Coffee, fritter and Dandee

Donuts and sandwiches were delicious. I loved my Dandee (breakfast sandwich on a donut). The service was rapid and friendly. The restaurant was clean and comfortable.

The Dandee Breakfast Sandwich. Sausage, Bacon, Egg and Cheese, hugged by love with their Dandee's Old Fashioned Donut...oh yum!!

Sadly, I forgot to take any pictures, because I was too busy enjoying my donut !! Okay, this place was a gem to find, very laid back and nice set up.. We were headed to Logan Airport and we had a little mishap and needed to kill some time, because we arrived waaay too early, so we decided to take care of our mishap and clean our car at The Barn Car Wash. We noticed a donut shop was attached and at first thought it was closed, (they close at 3pm). Once we came out of the wash and swung around, our son was hungry and went inside and ordered a breakfast sandwich and got a drink and a donut. We decided to go inside and just get a few drinks and then we saw the wall of donuts. Now we were totally impressed by the variety and holy smokes, very large sized donuts!! These weren't your normally what you get at other donut shops, no these were hefty! And the employee said, "oh, it's after such n such time, all dozen donuts are now 50% off"...that got us! So we picked a dozen and they make them right there. They have old fashioned to fancy ones. I tried their Old Fashioned Sour Cream...that was awesome!! They only have 4 stores, this one in Massachusetts and 3 in Florida. These guys need to expand come to my State!! I've had many donuts in my lifetime and I can honestly say, these are the best to date!! The size, the variety, the taste, oh my!! There will definitely be a road trip in my future to go here, and if you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by and grab yourself some goodness. Now, I have no idea about the food they serve, that will be on my road trip to them, but the donuts...as my mom would say, "they are to die for" and I would totally agree!! Whatever love they put into there donuts, I hope they keep that love, because it comes through in each bite!! Yeah, they are that good!!

An old fashioned donut/cafe shop in Revere. I came in on a weekday morning and there were a few customers dining in and a few people working orders. The server in front was very kind and I took my time deciding while she was getting orders set and packed. I decided to get a pack of 6 donuts and a dandee donut breakfast sandwich. The old fashioned donut sandwich was very oily, yet plain and simple. The glazed stick was so much bigger than I expected it to be. The salted Carmel donut was probably my favorite out of the half dozen that I got, with it being a sweet sauce and soft donut made a perfect match. Overall, a nice place to come grab breakfast over some of the popular donuts chains.

Great breakfast-all-day spot in an awkward location. I was intrigued by the name, but skeptical that they would have much more than sugar bomb donuts. So glad I was wrong! We had an excellent brunch here -- 3 egg omelettes with hashbrowns and toast (or muffin/bagel/biscuit), above average iced coffee, and of course donuts. The staff was super friendly and the dining room was spotless -- a rarity for diners. I'll definitely be back. The only downside was having to drive way past it to find an exit and turn around. It was worth the extra couple minutes in the car though.

I had an amazing experience at Dandee donuts this morning and I am SO excited that this place opened up! They have a ton of breakfast and lunch options including sandwiches, soups, burgers and more. The donuts all look so amazing --it's super hard to choose! The service was genuinely kind, thoughtful, informative and unrushed. The coffee was also delicious! You'd be surprised how big it is inside. Plenty of tables and chairs to space out and sit. Parking is abundant and easy. I'm really looking forward to the drive through that will be going in. (There is a sign that says it's in the works). I ordered a breakfast combo with a donut, egg and cheese sandwich and a coffee. It was extremely well priced! When I opened the bag with my food in it, I noticed they put a variety of condiments unprompted. Coffee was delicious. The experience really rounded out great - as I went to exit and the kind man behind the counter quickly came over to hold both doors for me and my son who was in the stroller. This place is amazing and I can't wait for many visits back!

Upon moving to Boston from California, I was so saddened to realize the old fashioned donuts in a pink box that I grew up with were nowhere to be found. The donut industry seemed limited to Dunkin' or Back Bay's fancy/over-the-top specialty donuts. Even the donuts at local diners & coffee shops couldn't get it right. I started seeing the signs for Dandee's, and had to try it as soon as it opened... My irrelevant background story aside, I can confidently say these are the best (truly old fashioned) donuts in the Boston area. While they do have some "specialty" donuts, we come for the classic old fashioned. My favorite is the old fashioned chocolate sprinkle, which hits the nail on the head and reminds me so much of the pink-boxed, mom & pop donuts I grew up on. My only qualm is that they seem to run out of the popular flavors quickly, and we haven't been able to get our hands on a plain cruller yet. They also serve coffee, muffins, bagels, etc. And they have a PARKING LOT. Needless to say, Dandee has become one of our staple places in the Boston area and we will definitely continue coming back.

Well, I treated my honey to breakfast yesterday morning, but he ends up paying I could not get over the donuts. They were a little pricey at 269 each or like $14 for a seven count half dozen. However, they were delicious and he got jelly in his jelly donuts. Because the day before we had bought from a Dunkin' Donuts in the same area and there was not one bit of jelly in the donut and it was two dollars. we ended up splitting a dandy omelette with had like a couple kinds of meat, some vegetables, eggs, cheese, etc. in it it was very, very good. It was big enough for us to share with nothing left over we couldn't eat eaten it by ourselves and then it came with a grilled English muffin and home fries. He also had a coffee and I got a glass of water and a cup of hot water for my specialty bags.but the place was very quiet and it was comfortable and it was clean and the girl I believe her name was Jasmine was absolutely wonderful. She took our order and then she eventually brought over to the table brought that coffee over and stuff went back a couple times for other things, but she really was exceptional. It was kind of like the opposite of the hotel room. I just spent the last two days in for a veterans benefit. Was so glad to finally go to a place I had seen on Facebook that everyone was raving about. It was really really pleased with everything. Even splurged and bought the grandchildren their favorite donuts.

An apple cider donut that actually tastes like what the name implies! Ok so , because they just opened, give them time to figure things out and do not go with high expectations. We ordered two donuts and before it could finish the first syllable someone else got them. Don't bother looking at the donut menu online, just go and see what they have and enjoy. It's going to be chaotic til the hype dies down, so just be prepared. They handled everything very well. I also go biscuits and gravy which are delicious and surprisingly not super heavy. You get two biscuits, 4 halves, and a generous portion of gravy yum yum! A lot of the donuts weren't labeled, so don't be afraid to ask. I got a Raz (raspberry filled) and oh my goodness it's probably the best one I've ever had. I love when they are FILLED and not just filled. This was bursting with filling that actually tastes like raspberry. I had a bite of a lox and cream cheese bagel which was absolutely delicious. There's a parking lot, but it's like a zoo trying to get a spot, so be prepared. Oh, abd no online ordering or drive thru just yet.

    Inside at opening.

Very disappointed as first customer at 5am on first visit. Had been looking forward to go here and just finished a family airport run. Thought the donuts would be out on display and fresh but just the opposite - not out yet and seemingly leftovers. Not warm - just typical box donuts. Better than Dunks but not much different than the Basket and more expensive. On the plus side, great shop, drive through option, convenient off drive location and friendly staff. Ample seating and very clean. ThThe quality was good heavy cake donuts - there was a crueller-like and buttermilk available when I visited. While my first visit didn't meet expectations I'll be back but only when I can make sure to get some fresh ones - which means forget using the drive through....

Basic but delicious grilled cheese and the last remnants of a dandee donut.

What's served here is closer to half moon, although I found the base very dry and the frosting too thin. Definitely a frosting though. Not much flavor from the chocolate. Lemony notes from either the white half or the base. Much like the muffin, not the best. Not the worst, either, but a lot closer to worst than best. Key techniques include avoiding under-proofing, degassing the dough thoroughly after the first rise, using adequate gluten development, and creating tension during shaping to ensure a tight crumb. Key Techniques to Prevent Large Holes: Proper Fermentation (Avoid Under-proofing): Large, single cavities are often caused by under-proofed dough, which allows gases to expand unevenly during baking. Ensure the dough is fully proofed. Degassing and "Knocking Back": Gently but thoroughly deflate the dough after its first rise (bulk fermentation) to pop large gas bubbles, preventing them from becoming huge pockets. Firm Shaping & Surface Tension: When shaping loaves, make sure to fold and roll the dough tightly to eliminate gaps. Pop any visible surface air bubbles with a toothpick before the final proof. Proper Scoring: Score the loaf deeply enough. If the crust forms too fast and gas cannot escape, it can lead to "flying roof" or tunnels.
