Luberto's focus is very Italian with a huge array of pastries. Additionally, they serve savory breakfast items, whole cakes and pies, cater, have gift baskets, pizza, and much more. We decided to have a pastry breakfast. The place is very lively, but as small as it is, we were served quickly. The coffee was excellent and we loved our sweet treats. We couldn't remember the Italian names, but they were lovely. A couple of days later we picked up some takeaway cannoli, but they were disappointing because the filling was not ricotta cheese-based. Maybe we just picked the wrong one. Anyway, Luberto's reputation is well-deserved.

After a long weekend and knowing Lubertos like I do. After all I lived on Vane St and visited many times. We had a hiccup with 2 Boston Crème pies. Many guest had taken notice. Although they gave my sister her money back for 1 pie I guess when you buy 2 and if they're Dry, Steel or perhaps previously frozen ! They will only guarantee just 1. Stay Classy Lubertos

    Birthday cake

I always love Luberto's cakes so I requested one for my birthday.. when we cut it I couldn't believe what I saw.. there was more frosting in the cake than on it.. I ended cutting it up and throwing away the middle..

I ordered an Italian rum cake for a family members birthday party. I ordered it a few days before so it would be ready. However I picked up the cake and took it home without looking at it. The order was not taken correctly, even though I repeated what I said, and what she said was what I originally ordered going back to that evening. I took the cake out we couldn't cut into it. I actually had to use a bread knife to cut the cake the frosting was solid as a rock. The cake was dry and you couldn't even find the rum. The next morning, I went to the bakery to mention my dissatisfaction and I brought back the cake the girl at the register was rolling her eyes at me and basically calling me a liar. I asked for a manager to call me. Nobody did a couple days later. I called again asked for a manager nobody was there a week later still no response. If you need something done right definitely do not go there. They care nothing about their clients. All they want is money.

This was a large for 75 people a strawberry short cake. It was fabulous.

Just to walk in the door the renovations that were done since my last visit it was so inviting and wide open and the smell was divine. The bread dough was wonderful and helped us make a delicious pizza at home. The desserts were delicious as we expected and the Lobster tail filled the whole beautiful new boxes. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. And of course we had to get a loaf of fresh made scali bread too!

Luberto's is the best bakery in Revere, arguably the Boston area. Others get a lot of attention for being in Boston proper, but nowhere has better chocolate ganache cakes. Usually I'll get brownies, whoopie pies, and half moons to entertain guests or share with family and friends. They also offer decent pizza. Whatever you get, it's not usually busy but if you're planning to go on a holiday, plan far ahead as the line will be out the door. Their location in Revere is really retro looking. There are mirrors everywhere, including the ceiling, and the store itself has been renovated in the past few years. In my experience, it's a great place to bring visitors from outside the country for an authentic American bakery experience. Luberto's is also right across the street from Revere City Hall, which is worth taking a look at if you're visiting the area.

PIZZA SCORE - ( 3 OUT OF 10 )…read more Placed a order from this place off a recommendation from a older local gentalman that raves about this place constantly. This is a Bakery/ food shop that sells other types of food items. I personally was not a fan of anything I ordered. Everything, I do mean everything did look very appealing upon getting it in front of me. Smelled good. Giant portions had me wowed. These local restaraunts are really hit or miss. I did not grow up with this particular chains taste in foods. I found nothing had any taste. Everything was just very bland to me. Not exactly bad though. Not sure if this is intentional to keep everything low salt and tad bit healthier. Maybe I was having a weird day. Pretty average pricing. Well worth it for the portion sizes. I was had high expectations from a place I've passed for years but never actually tried. I was disapointed. You will have to try it for yourself I guess. Start conservative with the smallest sized items. Not by any means a bad score. I'm just a critique who has a ranking going. Just a note I did not try any of pasteries this day. It was just food items. Primarily the Pizza slice which was the target of the day.

However, lately, I've noticed the quality of their breads decreasing. Where before I could consistently count on fresh breads, especially in the morning, now every visit feels like a gamble. Today for example, I got a cheese croissant which is a soft bread baked with cheese. For context, I came in on a Sunday morning at 9am when you'd think the breads would be fresh. The bread I received was stale, crumbly, and hard with cheese so cold it completely solid instead of stringy. The bread had either been over baked or sitting there for days. For one incident I wouldn't take the time to write a review, but this is now a more consistent occurrence. One server in particular doesn't show the customers the care and servitude most of the other, longer term servers give. She doesn't always give you everything you buy, charges for bags without asking if you want a bag, and throws the first item in the bag without attention to its quality. Additionally the cakes in the cake case is almost always dry and hard, and the desserts in the fridge taste like they've spoiled. Unfortunately, it seems like the longer they are open and the wider their selection the lower their quality.

Key techniques include avoiding under-proofing, degassing the dough thoroughly after the first rise, using adequate gluten development, and creating tension during shaping to ensure a tight crumb. Key Techniques to Prevent Large Holes: Proper Fermentation (Avoid Under-proofing): Large, single cavities are often caused by under-proofed dough, which allows gases to expand unevenly during baking. Ensure the dough is fully proofed. Degassing and "Knocking Back": Gently but thoroughly deflate the dough after its first rise (bulk fermentation) to pop large gas bubbles, preventing them from becoming huge pockets. Firm Shaping & Surface Tension: When shaping loaves, make sure to fold and roll the dough tightly to eliminate gaps. Pop any visible surface air bubbles with a toothpick before the final proof. Proper Scoring: Score the loaf deeply enough. If the crust forms too fast and gas cannot escape, it can lead to "flying roof" or tunnels. Avoid Excessive Dusting Flour: Too much extra flour during folding can create, rather than prevent, big holes in the crumb. Check Dough Handling: Perform 3-4 gentle "coil folds" during bulk fermentation, rather than over-working it, to strengthen the structure
