No exaggeration, the eclaires and bismarcks were double wide and at least 10" long. Three people could split an eclaire, oh my gosh. We bought an assortment of cookies, pastries, bread, and pizza. Everything was fresh and excellent. We took our pastries a few minutes away to the seashore and indulged in the comfort of our car for fear thise famous Revere seagulls (which are also giant) would swoop down and steal our sweets. Lengthy showcases of pastries of different types and ethnicities, from Italian to Jewish to Latin to pure Americana. Tiny toilet upstairs for your convenience. -- Blueberry Muffin: Nice dome with a well extended overhang, though on one side for lopsided amusement. Blueberries tiny but densely distributed. Everything very soft and spongey, even the dome. Flavor very sugary. Decent muffin. I've had far better. I've had far worse. -- Half Moon / Black and White Cookie: There's a lot of misunderstanding regarding this item-- which is really items (plural). A black & white cookie is more of a New York thing, with a firm cookie base and a thin, hard-shell glaze on top. A half moon I believe is a Boston thing, with a cakey bottom and a thick, soft frosting on top. What's served here is closer to half moon, although I found the base very dry and the frosting too thin. Definitely a frosting though. Not much flavor from the chocolate. Lemony notes from either the white half or the base. Much like the muffin, not the best. Not the worst, either, but a lot closer to worst than best. We decided to have a pastry breakfast. The place is very lively, but as small as it is, we were served quickly. The coffee was excellent and we loved our sweet treats. We couldn't remember the Italian names, but they were lovely. A couple of days later we picked up some takeaway cannoli, but they were disappointing because the filling was not ricotta cheese-based. Overall, pretty decent. Their checkerboard cake slices are a solid B. But I have one big complaint... They're now really skimping on the chocolate chips and M&M's in their cookies. This is a recent trend over there. They used to actually use too many chocolate chips, but now they've gone to the other extreme, and barely put on enough for their large cookies. I ordered an Italian rum cake for a family members birthday party. I ordered it a few days before so it would be ready. However I picked up the cake and took it home without looking at it. The order was not taken correctly, even though I repeated what I said, and what she said was what I originally ordered going back to that evening. I took the cake out we couldn't cut into it. I actually had to use a bread knife to cut the cake the frosting was solid as a rock. The cake was dry and you couldn't even find the rum. The next morning, I went to the bakery to mention my dissatisfaction and I brought back the cake the girl at the register was rolling her eyes at me and basically calling me a liar. I asked for a manager to call me. Nobody did a couple days later. I called again asked for a manager nobody was there a week later still no response.If you need something done right definitely do not go there. They care nothing about their clients. Pay no attention to the complaints of Frank R from 11/28/24. My guess is he was having a bad day, or might be one of those people who like to find fault with everything. This Italian Pastry shop is one of the best in Revere. It's very clean, the decor is delightful, the young ladies and women who work the counters are friendly, attentive, polite and very helpful. At least that's been my experience and I've been buying my pastries there for the past 20 years. Speaking of pastries, they're gorgeous to look at and delicious to eat. Oh and if you happen to like eclairs, the ONLY place you'll ever want to buy them again is at Luberto's. Why? What a cute and festive pastry shop! I came just before Easter to grab a birthday cake and some desserts. They were incredibly busy with the line to the door on a Saturday afternoon. After perusing through the many options, I got their strawberry shortcake but would have been interested in their tres leches too. Just to walk in the door the renovations that were done since my last visit it was so inviting and wide open and the smell was divine. The bread dough was wonderful and helped us make a delicious pizza at home. The desserts were delicious as we expected and the Lobster tail filled the whole beautiful new boxes. Luberto's is the best bakery in Revere, arguably the Boston area. Others get a lot of attention for being in Boston proper, but nowhere has better chocolate ganache cakes. Usually I'll get brownies, whoopie pies, and half moons to entertain guests or share with family and friends. They also offer decent pizza. Whatever you get, it's not usually busy but if you're planning to go on a holiday, plan far ahead as the line will be out the door. Their location in Revere is really retro looking. There are mirrors everywhere, including the ceiling, and the store itself has been renovated in the past few years. In my experience, it's a great place to bring visitors from outside the country for an authentic American bakery experience. Luberto's is also right across the street from Revere City Hall, which is worth taking a look at if you're visiting the area. read more

I just want to warn fellow consumers, I have been coming here off and on for years, and for the most part it's been good, but recently I spent a bunch of money there , one of them being one of our favorites their Eclair, we took it out the next evening and found something inedible, the pastry was dried out, the chocolate had the strangest taste, it obviously had been left in the display case way too long. If you can get past the impossible street only parking, this pastry shop is good. The shop's decor and staff are a bit off but the pastries are spot on! I'd recommend if you are in the Revere area looking for pastries. As soon as I walked in, I couldn't help but stare into the mirrors covering the walls and the neon lights. The shop lighting seems to aim for nightclub instead of pastry shop. It was odd walking into a dimly lit establishment but I pushed past that and walked straight up to the counter. I was stared at for a bit by a less-than-enthusiastic staff. After a few minutes, a staff member finally came over and asked what I needed. I had a simple order but I felt as if I was almost bothering the staff member based on the eye rolls I got. After boxing up a half moon and two slices of pan pizza, I checked out. The register is to the far left of the shop, so when the staff member walks away be sure to follow them. I paid with cash to expedite getting out of there! When I got home, I tried the two offerings purchased. The half moon was on moist yellow cake with smooth chocolate and vanilla icing. Definitely worth a try! The pan pizza was okay -- it was surely made in the morning and I had bought this in the afternoon. I'd recommend getting this pan pizza early in the morning, if possible. read more

I've come here plenty of times and the service has gotten worse. The last time I went, I got a strawberry shortcake and when I cut it into slices, it was pretty empty in the middle. The owners are also a problem (father/son). They make the YOUNGER girls they hire wear leggings and stare at them when they bend over. I honestly don't even know where to begin this review. First time I came in a few months ago the service was bad but the pastries/pizza were amazing! I was so excited to come here for my families thanksgiving desert. I almost walked out numerous times. I was in utter shock honestly. I worked at Joseph's Bakery in South Boston for almost 10 years & I couldn't imagine my self & co workers standing in a circle on our phones, swearing (the C word at that) and completely disregarding customers the day before thanksgiving!! It's the busiest day of the year at any bakery! There was also NO ONE else in line. I literally had to ask them "are you working!?" Then finally one of them helps me. An older man comes from The back possibly owner and starts arguing with the girl who is helping me about a dispute of someone getting cut early. She then proceeds to swear, yell at his son and tell every girl working the story all while we were just trying to be in and out with pastries. We then go to the register & in my head I thought "they don't deserve a tip" but again I've worked holiday months in a bakery and I know what it's like.. so I did tip her. She didn't even look up, say thank you or happy thanksgiving. 25 mins of listening to everyone arguing/swearing/on their phones/talking about one another. 70$ for 12 pastries and 8 slices - I will not be back. I'm honestly still in shock and getting worked up as I type this. As a business owner I hate to leave a bad review but I could not believe what occurred! read more

I was totally overwhelmed by all of the delicious sweets when I walked into Luberto's for the first time. The pastries are beautiful and the portions are pretty generous at a fair price. Locals referred us here instead of Mike's Pastries; they loved that it also offers espresso and cappuccino along with sweets. They also told us that we would pay a LOT less here for the same thing offered at Mike's. We got 4 different kinds of cannolis and a piece of fancy, multi-layered chocolate cake roll. The cake roll had a bit of a strange taste to it--not what I was expecting, but it was still pretty good. The cannolis though! They were SO GOOD. The only reason I'm giving this place less than 4 stars is because the staff was rather austere and very impatient with us while we tried to decide what to order. We were letting other customers go ahead of us while we were deciding, but apparently the staff wasn't pleased with that. In a place with so many pastry choices, they should be more patient with customers. Not everyone knows what they want to order when they walk in the door. All in all, go here.
