Server was nice when we went up to order but he came after we walked in. When we first walked in, the younger lady didn't even greet us. Not much is displayed here. This use to be my favorite place but seems like their quality is cheaper. I got a mangoneada and I don't think they put any chamoy in it the chili tastes just like straight tapatio. It's a mango slushie type dessert drink with fresh mango chunks, Chamoy sauce, served with a large straw covered in sweet and sour & spicy tamarindo candy. Chicharron Preperados-shredded cabbage,cucumber chunks, pickled pig skin(cueritos) slivers, carrot ribbons, Chamoy sauce, chili sauce and crema on top of a large Chicharron. Absolutely a tastebud delight! Tostilotes-Tostitos Salsa Verde flavored Chips topped with a delicious creamy nacho cheese sauce, white corn kernels, and fresh grated Parmesan cheese served in the chip bag. Munchie Madness!! I'm always ecstatic to hear about any place that serves mangonadas. Unfortunately, this place fell short. They use ice-cream instead of a more refreshing and fruity sherbet. I know this is just a matter of personal preference and I will admit to favoring the latter more. But I still know what taste good and what does not. Their mangonadas did not impress me because of the lack of flavor. This is especially true if you decide to go for the shaved ice version instead of the mango ice-cream. It would just taste like cold water with chamoy and sprinkled on chili powder. I don't find it to be worth the price when I could acquire the same taste from a street cart vendor. read more

We were looking for a refreshing afternoon treat on a very hot afternoon and thought maybe a mangonada would hit the spot... I found Dandy's on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival we found a little ice cream shop that sells a limited variety of ice cream flavours, as well as some other tasty treats like tostilocos and mangonada. When we arrived in the late afternoon the place was nearly empty but it filled up rather quickly. Overall I would rate Dandy's as average. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but if someone asked me to join them there for a snack I wouldn't hesitate to go... I guess you could say I'm indifferent! read more

Today I went to this place because my other spot changed the hours due to Covid. I purchased a mangonada. The gentleman washed his hands before starting so that's a plus. He went into the back and came back to give me the drink. When I got in the car to take a bite I realized that the drink had hot sauce in it which is weird because I never had hot sauce on the other few spots I went before. Best banana split I've had in a long, long time. The ice cream is home made and it makes a big difference. Their selection of ice cream is unique. I've also tried their Mangoneadas, it's full of pieces of mangos with chamoy, very delicious. It's even better on a hot day. So refreshing! Their prices are very reasonable especially when they have natural ice cream with no preservatives or other fake crap that is put in most food items that makes you sick in the long run. I called this establishment before coming, and I asked if they had mangonada's with ice cream or with slushie (crushed ice). I was told they had both, so I drove the 17 minutes from where I was at, all the way down the other side of watt, to come to this establishment. When I got inside it was DEAD, there was one little family sitting waiting for their ice cream, and when I replied hello to the lady at the counter in english I was instantly ignored. Both of the people behind the counter ignored me and my boyfriend for a good 5-6 minutes (with us patiently waiting) before we were asked what we wanted. I asked him a few questions, whats a fresada, the fresas and crema is strawberries and cream right? Alright I'll take one and a mangonada. In my previous experience ordering mangonadas I am always asked if I want it spicy or mild. Well the mild was spicy as shit so I told him I would like mine mild please, and they looked at me like I was mentally retarded. The mango is not spicy they said. I said I know, the chile and the sauce inside is spicy so please not too much. Ok ok they nod their heads, once again saying the mango is not spicy..................and then the guy SPECIFICALLY ASKS ME IF I WANT ICE CREAM OR SLUSHIE. I told him, Please, I want the mangonada with ice cream. I pay 13 bucks AND we tip into their empty tip jar, and wait. When I get my mangonada it didn't look right but whatever I took it. There was hella chamoy and chile in it and when I got into the car and tasted it, it was slushie. I DIDN'T WANT SLUSHIE!!! I seriously called, I told him at the counter, but I got slushie. I told my boyfriend to go inside and just buy another one, with ice cream. My boyfriend goes inside and tells them I ordered ice cream and not slushie, and he wants to buy an ice cream mangonada. The asshole at the counter INSISTED that this was ice cream, and my boyfriend, frustrated and defeated, even after he showed the guy the inside contents was not ice cream, walked out. I spend with tip 16 dollars on two items, one item I ended up throwing away. I wasted a half hour of my time at this establishment. I honestly think we were treated like shit because we don't speak spanish, and the language barrier is REAL at this location. If you have had a different experience, IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT a mangonada with ICE CREAM, MADE WITH CREAM, NOT CRUSHED ICE, at this location, message me and bring my ass with you, because I may just need someone to vouch for me that I'm not just a stupid gringo and I deserve the ice cream too. I left here livid and I don't recommend this place to anyone. Stay away. Go to south sac if you want mangonadas. Crushed ice with mango syrup is NOT ICE CREAM!!!! read more

Ice cream and food is good. They don't start making anything until you pay and they are kind of slow.

We've been here about 3 times and all three times the service has been great and the food delicious. It's great to have real ice cream in the area. It's very clean and they have a wide selection of sweet treats. The only thing they need is tejuino, which they said they are working on adding to the menu.
