    Mango ice cream mangonada
    G Y.

This place used to be one of my favorite ice cream shops. I dont know what happen. I was disappointed with the vanilla and chocolate ice cream scoops. My kids didnt even eat it and we threw them away. It was freezer burned and melted so quick. It was only 56 degrees outside. The ice cream both didnt taste like the flavors at all. Tasted more like salt ice cream. The mangonada with the mango ice cream is my favorite still. Looks like we will only be coming here for mangonadas.

I went around 7pm and waited for about 10 minutes which was fine but no one ever welcomed us in. There were 2 young girls working who were rude and when one approached us she had an attitude the whole time. The elote she made was watery and tasted like it was out of the can and there was SO much mayo. It was like mayo and cheese with a hint of corn. Don't know if i'll be returning sadly.

There isn't a sign out front so it was a little hard to spot. The inside isn't the cleanest. The staff was friendly. My husband really want a Mango drink and heard this place was good. The guy at the park serves a better one and it's cheaper. The scoops of ice cream with topping my kids got were good. They loved them. We left with 2 scoops with topping and a mango drink and spent around $10. We probably won't stop in again.

Im glad I found a closer paleta place. I like their mangonadas here and elote. I am hoping to try more of their goodies. there is a small seating area inside, but looks like most customers take their stuff to go. Not in the best of neighborhoods, but who cares as long as the ice cream is good. It is a little pricey vs the mexican cart, but It gets the job done when an asian is craving magonada and some mexican snacks. lol

JB got some good eats and ice cold treats. Having seen just a few pics we were intrigued to see how this mexican icecream shop was. Que the music (bumping some rap up in here) boom my tastes buds hit the roof of my mouth with love. They offer a wide array of stuff from icecream with cream based and icee like with non cream based, fruit cups, loco stuff i dont even know what they are called. Mangonadas, elotes, fruit cups and mucho mas. Service was cool, employees either just smiled and kept on being busy and the ones helping were smiling and helping. There was atleast 4 of them staying busy as people came and left. So we went with some icecream with cream based, coffee, strawberry which had real strawberries blended in, you can see and taste the fruit pieces, and the edible flower which was light on flavor and smell nothing crazy and overpowering. My son asked if they had bubble gum flavor and they did both in icecream and the bars. He was excited for the bar, but both the bar and icecream didn't seem to have the bubble gum balls in it. The bars they do have a big variety in flavors avaiable. Then after we went and got the elote- corn on a stick, serves warm with mayo and parmesan completely covering it, it does come with spicy seasoning but we passed this time cause the kids wanted to try, same as the fruit cup, packed with a lot ofndifferrnt fruits and then sprinkle with lime juice and salt(?) i think. Again we didn't go spicy. Overall the visit was good and the prices are good too. Plenty of choices! Defintilty a place we will be back. Parking is plenty and spacious.

I've only had their elote cup, which was so good and worth the price, which wasn't much. Big serving. However, service was incredibly slow. Crawling slow. The place wasn't even packed. There were two other people in front of me, but it took almost 10 minutes for someone to finally take my order and another 10 to bring my order out.

The ice cream was okay. Not a big wow for the the price of $4 for 2 scoops and there not that big of scoops, I would say. The place needs to keep up with there ice cream labels . It seemed like every name they have on the counter did not match with what ice cream bucket shown below, alittle confusing.

a hand holding a cup of ice cream

Still my favorite ice cream shop. The mango ice cream mangonada and horchata always taste delicious. They can get business and the wait can take a while, but it's worth the wait on a hot day.

This place has stepped it up it's service for sure ! Ice cream and chip mixes are great!

    "Store hours"

We came twice on a Sunday around 5pm and both times doors are closed yet hours posted states otherwise. Maybe actually updating current store hours?

Mangonada. Fresada. Tostilocos and corn in a cup.

This is literally the best mangonada place I've ever tried. A few years ago I started hearing about mangonadas from friends but I had no idea what they were. Finally I tried one and have since been obsessed since. My brother and I literally try a new place every time we hang out. We have tried a few places in San Jose, Modesto and Sacramento and this is by far the best!!!!!!!!! Everything we have tried is sooo good and fresh and tastes really authentic and homemade. They have: Mangonadas - you can get mango, strawberry, lemon, tamarind etc.. Ice cream. so many unique flavors. Paletas. reg size and mini ones too which are perfect for the kids. Cueritos - I don't eat meat, so ive never tried them. But my brother got a tostada de Cueritos and he said it was the best cueritos he's had. Corn in a cup. which are basically the best corn in a cup ive ever ever tried!!!! omg i don't know what they do to them, but they're soooooooooooooo incredibly good. Diablitos- never tried them. Coconadas - ive had it with ice-cream and with ice, and the ice one is definitely the winner. If you're ever in the mood for ice-cream, mangonadas, or mexican snacks. and you're in the Sacramento area this is the place!!!! The only bad thing is, service can be slow because they only have like 1 or 2 people working at a time, BUT its worth the wait. The best things in life take time right??? ENJOY!!!!!!

Those of you that know me already know that I am a big time meat eater. But I am always open to soy protein and impossible meat options. This takes me to the Arden neighborhood of Sacramento where I had the opportunity to try out "RAW Superfood Cafe". Located in the Howe Bout Arden shopping center, this place has been opened since early-2024 while replacing the once popular "CREAM" which was a surprise since they did not last long in this busy outdoor strip mall. Prior to coming here, I've already heard of RAW Superfood Cafe as they have 3 locations in the Bay Area; San Jose, Milpitas, and San Jose; and 2 locations in the Sacramento area; Elk Grove and this one that I am reviewing. I ended up coming here during the afternoon on Friday 6/5/2026 at around 5:15pm. The inside area is very bright, cheerful, and lively with a few tables with leather booth-seating, bamboo wood paneling, and fake grass with the business name aligned to it. Additionally, there is a large digital kiosk where you can place your order and pay using a card or smartphone. The specialty here are their blended and layered bowls which offer a huge assortment of customizable creations. This is where you can choose a base (for example, açaí, mango, dragonfruit, etc.) while picking various toppings (nuts, fruits, coconut chips, etc.) and finishing it off with a drizzle of vanilla, chocolate, or anything you might be craving. However, they also offer a vast amount of smoothies, protein shakes, wellness drinks, blended and iced coffee beverages, and even a respectable amount of food. When I say food, this just isn't a couple items; this is more a few dozen food items to choose from. Everything from various sandwiches, burgers, breakfast toasts, bagels, salads, and soups. Since I was craving an actual meal/drink, I went with their "Bánh Mì Sandwich" (priced at $13.95). This sandwich consisted of house Asian sauce, caramelized onions, pickled daikon, carrots, cilantro, mayo, jalapeño, and cucumber. I paired this a refreshingly cold-pressed Calamansi juice (priced at $5.50). I ordered this exclusively on the kiosk and paid for it digitally via-Apple Pay. Within 5-7 minutes, my drink and food was ready for pickup. I am quite picky about my Bánh Mì Sandwiches but for them to substitute this with vegan meat was an absolute win-win for me. The 'meat' was well-seasoned, tender, and packed with flavor while the bread was soft and made to perfection. Even my drink hit the spot on a seasonably warm 94°F day. I thoroughly enjoyed this while dining inside a very clean, sterile, and bright interior while the employees were absolutely friendly and accommodating. With that said and done, I am giving the Arden "RAW Superfood Cafe" a perfect and unanimous five-star rating.
