Walked in as the counter people walked to the back, assuming they saw me I waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the front to take my order, rang the service bell and someone shouted "one second!". This place used to be one of my favorite ice cream shops. I dont know what happen. I was disappointed with the vanilla and chocolate ice cream scoops. My kids didnt even eat it and we threw them away. It was freezer burned and melted so quick. It was only 56 degrees outside. The ice cream both didnt taste like the flavors at all. Tasted more like salt ice cream. The mangonada with the mango ice cream is my favorite still. Looks like we will only be coming here for mangonadas. read more

I went around 7pm and waited for about 10 minutes which was fine but no one ever welcomed us in. There were 2 young girls working who were rude and when one approached us she had an attitude the whole time. The elote she made was watery and tasted like it was out of the can and there was SO much mayo. It was like mayo and cheese with a hint of corn. Don't know if i'll be returning sadly. read more

There isn't a sign out front so it was a little hard to spot. The inside isn't the cleanest. The staff was friendly. My husband really want a Mango drink and heard this place was good. The guy at the park serves a better one and it's cheaper. The scoops of ice cream with topping my kids got were good. They loved them. We left with 2 scoops with topping and a mango drink and spent around $10. We probably won't stop in again. read more

Im glad I found a closer paleta place. I like their mangonadas here and elote. I am hoping to try more of their goodies. there is a small seating area inside, but looks like most customers take their stuff to go. Not in the best of neighborhoods, but who cares as long as the ice cream is good. JB got some good eats and ice cold treats. Having seen just a few pics we were intrigued to see how this mexican icecream shop was. Que the music (bumping some rap up in here) boom my tastes buds hit the roof of my mouth with love. They offer a wide array of stuff from icecream with cream based and icee like with non cream based, fruit cups, loco stuff i dont even know what they are called. Mangonadas,elotes, fruit cups and mucho mas. Service was cool, employees either just smiled and kept on being busy and the ones helping were smiling and helping. There was atleast 4 of them staying busy as people came and left. So we went with some icecream with cream based, coffee, strawberry which had real strawberries blended in, you can see and taste the fruit pieces, and the edible flower which was light on flavor and smell nothing crazy and overpowering. My son asked if they had bubble gum flavor and they did both in icecream and the bars. He was excited for the bar, but both the bar and icecream didn't seem to have the bubble gum balls in it. The bars they do have a big variety in flavors avaiable. Then after we went and got the elote- corn on a stick, serves warm with mayo and parmesan completely covering it, it does come with spicy seasoning but we passed this time cause the kids wanted to try, same as the fruit cup, packed with a lot ofndifferrnt fruits and then sprinkle with lime juice and salt(?) i think. Again we didn't go spicy. Overall the visit was good and the prices are good too. Plenty of choices! Defintilty a place we will be back. Parking is plenty and spacious. read more

I've only had their elote cup, which was so good and worth the price, which wasn't much. Big serving. However, service was incredibly slow. Crawling slow. The place wasn't even packed. There were two other people in front of me, but it took almost 10 minutes for someone to finally take my order and another 10 to bring my order out. read more

I was mesmerized by the letters P-A-L-E-T-A-S bringing back memories of 5'4" hat wearing paisas ringing their bells and pushing their freezers on wheels full of fruity ice cream treats down the street. Perhaps a little too mesmerized to notice how SAD this ice cream place looked from the outside. I picked up a $1.50 strawberry paleta....not bad, only slightly freezer burned. There were a TON of paleta flavors and ice cream by the scoop availabe as well for cheap. Apparently they sell tortas too.... It felt sad and desolate inside though. Been coming here for several years now whenever I'm in the area. You know that this is an authentic heladería when the clientele doesn't speak English. Most of the employees do, though. Offers ice cream with flavors you'd find only in Mexico or the authentic places here. For example, my bf loves their tequila ice cream. Several other flavors whose names I can't remember, but they come from fruits native to Mexico and have no English translation. You also get your variety of other drinks and treats, like bionicos, strawberries and cream, and their aguas frescas. I absolutely love their strawberry agua fresca and got it twice. Real chunks of strawberries, sugar, and ice. They probably put crack in it too, that's how good it is. Pretty cheap too, at only $2.75 for a medium. Ice cream prices are more mainstream. read more

Cueritos - I don't eat meat, so ive never tried them. But my brother got a tostada de Cueritos and he said it was the best cueritos he's had. Coconadas - ive had it with ice-cream and with ice, and the ice one is definitely the winner. Walked in with my husband and kids with only two other people in the establishment. No acknowledgment. Two girls were working but making one banana split? Waited about 5-10 minutes, still nothing. This ice cream joint is kinda tucked away. But word of mouth got my attention. All great flavors! Very "hip" interior! Reasonable prices! My favorites are coconut and strawberry ice cream. The only thing that i didn't like is the freezers?...the ice cream wasn't as cold/firmthat I think it should've been. It melted quickly. Hopefully they will get that issue fixed ASAP. My wife and I decided to try this place it turned out to be pretty cool. It's just like a little spot in Stockton I used to go to. It has a wide range of selection for ice cream with a flare. It's not for everyone but they also have traditional ice cream. I'm not giving the shop 5 stars because the lines are not clear and I was cut in front of. They must have had some serious Sunday cleaning in the back because the front was usually left unattended. Except for a very funny young man, he was very alert and gave a great customer service to my wife and I. I was happy with my overall experience I sat down and they played music and was very nostalgic for me. I will definitely be back and try some of their cheese ice cream. read more

I'm a big fan of this ice cream joint. The owner was a ice cream maker in Mexico for many years and he make all the ice cream himself. He doesn't use any preservatives or high fructose corn syrup. Lots of real fruits and nuts in his ice cream and they are excellent. My personal favorite is Guanabanas ice cream, which I never tried until I found it here. But the Rum Raisin, pistachio, Mango are all very good as well. The location isn't the best but if you are in the area, check it out! read more

I came here because it was highly recommended to me for their mangonadas. When I asked for one, she asked me if I would like it with shaved ice or with a freeze. Since it was my first time EVER getting one, I asked what was the difference, and she replied that is the difference. Confused, I asked again and she rudely said the same thing and told me to ring the bell when I'm ready. The service was terrible, but I can't argue that the mangonadas were delicious! I got the freeze. I sent my husband the next day to get some and they didn't offer the freeze, so he got the shaved ice. It was more like a half melted slurpee. He still didn't have good service.
