I LOVE me some gelato, and this is my go-to spot whenever I'm craving it! They have such a wide selection and that's just what's on display. They're always rotating in new flavors, so every time I stop by, there's something fun and different to try. I love that it has a grab-and-go feel if you're in a hurry, but also a cozy sit-and-stay-awhile vibe if you want to relax and enjoy your treat. It's located in the Milagro Centre, which has great outdoor seating and a really nice ambiance. Perfect for a sunny day gelato date or just a solo sweet tooth moment. Now, real talk: the staff (mostly younger kids) aren't exactly customer service stars, but they're not rude either. They'll offer you samples, take your order, and get it done quickly and efficiently -- just don't expect a full-on friendly convo. Honestly... I'm kind of fine with that. I'm here for the gelato, not the small talk. I've been coming here for years and fully plan to keep it that way. If you're a gelato lover, don't sleep on this place!

Thursday, 6/06/2024 - We decided to try GB Gelato. We wanted some good gelato. Address is 6241 Fair Oaks Blvd H, Ste E, Carmichael, CA 95608. It's located in the Milagros Plaza. Upon arrival: Pros 1) plenty of parking 2) don't go where you see the GB Gelato sign. There's no entrance there. You have to go through where the Milagros sign is towards the back and you'll see entrance to your left side. 3) there's a few tables in there to sit and enjoy. 4) staffs were nice. Mellow. Quiet. 5) all of our Gelato ice cream was super good. 6) I asked them what sweetner they use to make their sugar free Gelato, and the lady said Monkfruit. Oh yeah!!! I'll be coming back for sure. They have several sugar free flavors here. 7) restaurant was clean and cute. 8) strawberry Banana was good too me. I liked it. But my other 2 said it was just OK. They were used to more ice cream, more creamier in it vs watery icey smoothie. Cons 1) none for me. I loved it all. For my other two people, the smoothie was a con. Conclusion We all really liked this GB Gelato. We'll be coming back here for sure! It was nice and quiet when we showed up. There was also a tea place right next to them and a restaurant next to the tea place. They were all in one large room. Pretty cool!

Always a fun and tasty experience. Best gelato in town! Vanilla and coffee ice cream with a pour over= amazing affogato!

    Lots of choices!

This gelato is made with love and it is amazing! Gabriel and his crew have a wonderful talent in making their special gelato with perfection! There is quite a variety of unique flavors and there's always something new to try. How about blueberry mascarpone, or mint chocolate chip? Belgian chocolate or fresh coconut? Too many flavors to mention here, but if you'd like to try popcorn gelato, they can do that one too! In addition to gelato, there are many flavors of fresh fruit sorbets on the menu (think peach, watermelon, key lime, limoncello, and so many more!). And always at least one flavor that is sugar free as well as vegan. Or try a banana split or any one of their many other delicious choices. Never disappointing and great service

It has been a long time since I've been to, anywhere, that left me speechless. The craft of gelato is a hard one to master. Many, many places just don't have the skill set to leave one feeling like they've been transported to Italy. This is the place. Each flavor was light and fluffy with a creamy texture. The flavors are not overpowering and the sweetness is simply extraordinary. The shop itself is nestled in a sweet little corner where friends can meet and enjoy catching up. Their staff serves with a smile and is ready to answer any questions or hand out a sample. Needless to say, we will be coming back and are sure to enjoy these flavors for a long time to come.

GB Gelato is located inside the Milagro Centre in Downtown Carmichael Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream but there is a difference! Gelato is denser than ice cream. It has a higher proportion of milk and a lower proportion of cream and eggs (or no eggs at all). This shop is adjacent to Café Madre and they have their own seating inside but, of course, you can also enjoy your treat at Milagro's covered outdoor food court common area. I ordered small cups of the Cookies & Cream for my daughter and I chose two flavors for mine, Chocolate Chip and Coffee Macchiato. We ate them outdoors... it was a warm mid-80's today but, I tell you, I did not allow that ice cream to melt. I ate that whole thing before it had a chance to drip! LoL! Yummy!! Creamy, rich and packs more flavor wallop. They do offer samples! Great selection and customer service. Prices are reasonable too! So many other flavors I'd like to try... I shall return :) Review #2606

It was fun trying somewhere new as we usually go to our favorites. For the past several years we've been going to Scott's for celebrations, but that has gotten old so thankfully we found somewhere new and loved it. I highly reccomend this restaurant. The ambiance is spectacular. If you can get one of the side tables under the overhang with the wine bottle chandelier you'll love it. Here's what we ordered: Borscht with Beef: Traditional red soup made with beets, beef, garden vegetables topped with sour cream- To me it didn't look appetizing, but it's a traditional dish so we split a cup. We didn't have much hope that would be edible. We were blown away trying it. It was actually good. We were shocked. It was so good. It was filled with pieces of tomatoes and beets and huge tender chucks of beef. Spinach Blini-Gluten free, vegetarian, 6 blintzes filled with spinach and creamy white sauce. We really enjoyed these Spinach Blini. They were very rich. I could only eat two to them and took the third one with me to share with my husband. He really liked it and wish there was more. I really wanted to get the Cherry Blini, but we were too full even though we shared an entree. I'm so disappointed as they looked so good. We needed a couple more people at our table so we could have tried more dishes and eaten everything family style. Beef Stew-Tender chunks of beef meat, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and this good things stewed in perfectly hearty cheese gravy baked in clay pot and served with tortilla on top. This takes me to the Arden-Arcade neighborhood of Sacramento where I had the opportunity in trying out "Sham Sweets". Established in 2019, this hole-in-the-wall Middle Eastern dessert shop is located directly on Fulton Ave and adjacent to Hurley Way. The parking lot is quite spacious as this small business shares itself with many other unique places. Business hours here are also very generous as they are open 7 days a week from 11:00am-8:30pm. I came here on the afternoon of Saturday 2/21/2026 at around 2:00pm. Upon entry, I was pleasantly surprised with how spacious, clean, and inviting this place was. And my oh my, they had a TON of desserts displayed everywhere! Everything from Turkish delights, baklava, künefe, Turkish cookies, and their version of a Middle Eastern ice cream, "Booza". Since it was the most requested item, I took a chance and ordered this. it is quite difficult to explain this food item but it has the chill factor of sweet cream but more of a dense, elastic-stretchy texture. It also had pasty pistachio chunks as a crumb topping. And since I wanted some desserts to go, I also ordered a total of 4 of their "Pistachio Bites"; two traditional/old-fashioned and two modern. Total price for everything only came to $10. The young man who helped me was very friendly, accommodating, and was able to answer all my questions. Since I had already visited their website, https://ediblesacramento.com/editorial/sham-sweets/, I had more of a general idea of what to expect at their bakery. After exiting the building, I enjoyed the Booza outside my car. I have to say that this dessert was like something I never experienced. One thing I have to say is that it is quite dense and creamy, almost a taffy-like custard. And with the chunks of pistachio with other elements packed in, it was quite chewy as well. I loved it but the flavor might turn a few people away. Once I got home, I enjoyed a couple of the Pistachio Bites and those also hit the spot. I love pistachio in general so when you make it into a small savory sweet, the flavor elevates itself on so many levels. The prices here are unbeatable, the customer service here was stellar, they have very generous hours of operation, and the unique Middle Eastern desserts that I sampled definitely did not disappoint. I expect to make many future visits to "Sham Sweets" and this place was sweet! My rating, a unanimous five stars.

I've since moved out of state, but during my last visit in January this year, the treats and drinks were just as delicious as I remembered. This was always one of my favorite spots to spend a few hours catching up with girlfriends over tea and pastries. The ambience is lovely and gives off fancy tea party vibes, making it perfect for casual conversations, book discussions, or just relaxing with something sweet. My personal favorites are the rose macaron and the mont blanc desserts. If I'm feeling hungry, I usually order the ratatouille, and the vanilla bean French toast is amazing when I want something sweet but filling. Matcha is always my go-to drink here too (though it's on the sweet side, so I don't think it's ceremonial grade). I remember my first visit; It was when I stopped by later in the day looking for a birthday cake for my son's 8th birthday about five years ago. I ended up choosing their chocolate mousse cake on a whim since it was one of the cakes they still had on display, and it turned out to be a good decision. My son loved it, but it was too chocolatey for me so he ended up having most of the cake. Still one of the memories I remember most from here. It was something I kept in mind that if I wanted more options and variety, I should arrive earlier in the day. There are a few downsides that keep this from being a full 5 stars for me though. The parking lot is very small and street parking can be difficult, especially during busy hours. The place gets crowded very easily, which is why I usually preferred walking there when I lived nearby. There's often a guard stationed at the front kindly holding the door open, though I imagine that's also due to the neighborhood. Pricing is definitely on the expensive side, but honestly that's fairly expected with a patisserie. My biggest issue is that service can noticeably decline when they're overwhelmed. Depending on when you visit, the line can get absurdly long (almost out the front door), and I've experienced slower service and even had my drink mixed up with another customer's order once. Since I order oat milk due to lactose intolerance, getting the order correct is pretty important. Thankfully, when the bakery isn't overly busy and adequately staffed, the employees are attentive, friendly, and very helpful with the ordering process if you have questions. It is still one of the Sacramento bakeries I miss after moving away. It was so lovely to have a bakery down the street from home.
