Very bad food handling on 2 occasions, cooked chicken thrown back in a bin of raw chicken after it was not the right order for someone, did it right in front of me and had to stop them to explain why thats very bad and just looked at me confused.... Gave them a second chance and guy on grill cooking chicken for my salad used same tongs as my chicken was almost finished, pulled out raw chicken from bin and dripped it right across my cooked chicken then proceeded to use the same tongs to put my cooked chicken on my salad... enough said...run away! read more

This was my first time as a customer, and definitely will be my last time ordering from Dandy's. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share my dine-in experience. Overall, I'd give the food a 1 out of 5 due to its disappointing quality. The fries arrived cold and soggy, far from what I expected. As for the burgers, they looked nothing like the pictures--thin, lackluster patties buried in oversized buns. The Philly cheesesteak was particularly disappointing, with barely any cheese or steak. What little meat there was consisted mostly of beef fat rather than actual steak. The chicken shawarma didn't fare much better. Instead of being cooked traditionally on a spit, it was just a few thin slices of grilled chicken breast, lacking in flavor and authenticity. If you're looking for carbs, you'll be satisfied by the large buns on both the burger and Philly cheesesteak, but if you're after quality, I'd recommend looking elsewhere. Considering the underwhelming food, the prices were another letdown--$26 for just the chicken shawarma and Philly cheesesteak, and almost $18 for the burger combo with a small drink and fries. Stopped in here recently based on their location being in close proximity to my stay at a nearby hotel. From looking at the place you would figure it being an average souvlaki/shawarma take-out/dine-in restaurant. On one lunchtime visit, I stopped in and ordered the $8.49 Philly cheesesteak sandwich, which did not disappoint. Lots of tasty, thinly cut steak, fried peppers and onions, with just the right amount of cheese, AND your choice of additional toppings! Later on, I thought I'd try their burger and poutine, which were both good. Their 7oz. flame-grilled burger is better than anything you could get at Harvey's, or any other fast-food burger joint, and at $8.49, is great value. Their poutine was good as well- tasty fries smothered in gravy with bits of cheese throughout, again for $8.49! On my next visit to London, I will definitely be stopping by. read more

Think I would continue with the 3-star theme. I had a burger & salad. The burger was surprisingly big but a little too thin. The burger toppings were larger them a regular burger joint. With the price of produce now I'da thought it would of been the other way around. I was a little off-put when the burger cook just assumed I'd want a Greek salad & added the salad dressing without asking what I wanted. I've ordered from Dandy's several times and service has been good until tonight. I have a family of three where my Step Son has certain food allergies so there is limit to what he can eat. I ordered two chicken burgers with nothing on it as we had in the past. There are notes for special instructions but we had no need to use it as I didn't select any toppings. No toppings selected no need for the special notes right? When our order came the two chicken burgers that were supposed to be plain, came with toppings. I called to let them know their error. When I called the first person I spoke had told me that I should of used the special notes to let them know I wanted those two chicken burgers plain. Again no toppings selected then no need to fill out right? I was passed over to a "supervisor" who admitted that yes it was their fault but gave me two options. Either come in to pick up 2 new Plain Chicken Burgers or to leave my number so I can get 2 free burgers the next time I order. Keep in mind my Step Son can't eat these burgers as it will effect his allergies and we would be in for a long night. I explained to the "supervisor" that this was not a fair option as we ordered in for a specific reason Movie Nite. I was again told that I had only 2 options again to go pick it up or leave a phone number so I can get 2 free burgers for the next time I ordered. I asked to speak to a Manager. I was informed (rudely) that the owners (his parents) had trained him and these were my only options. If I didn't leave my number then it was on me for refusing the offer. At the same time this "supervisor" (so of the owners) was still being rude. I called him on it and continued to tell me my options. My better half told him we would call back. We will not be ordering from Dandy's again due to his "supervisor" rudeness and not being able to properly rectify the situation. Ordered the curly poutine got straight cut fries that tasted like they severely burnt the oil before cooking. Gravy and cheese was good but the fries ruined the dish. Managed to eat about a quarter of it before my stomach started to hurt. Only good thing about this restaurant is the USB charge cables at the tables. read more

Wow! I've finally found a place to get a burger for lunch during my work week. Had the Famous 1/2 pound burger combo. Total after tax came to $9.93, which is really reasonable given the size of burger you get. Your average fast food combo these days runs between $8-9 anyway. As stated above the burger is huge. The patty is hand made and doesn't taste like those horrible prefab frozen patty type burgers. The bun looks and tastes like it came from a bakery and not a factory. The toppings I had were fresh and tasty. If it was cooked on a BBQ instead of a grill it would be impossible to distinguish it from home made. The fries actually tasted very old school. Like they did back before most places started using healthier oils in their deep fryer. Really looking forward to my next visit because the Philly cheesesteak looked really good and I don't know of anywhere to get a good one in London yet. Fingers crossed. read more

Ordered as well two philly cheese steak sandwiches and received buns loaded up with onions and just 2 or 3 pieces of meat strewn here and there and even just the meat tasted disgusting! Decided to give Dandy's another go and was pleasantly happy I did. We ordered online once again and got ourselves two veggie burgers, and order of fries, some onion rings, and a milk shake, bottle of pop. Oh! And a Caesar salad! It came with time to spare even though we are under some construction. Once we started to pull everything out we discovered that we not only got everything we ordered but also a surprise two extra orders of fries. The food was great and we were happily stuffed. The only thing that we noticed was that the Caesar salad had more of a ranch taste as opposed to Caesar. It wasn't a huge deal but kind of confusing. read more

I've given this place almost ten chances. Service is good here. Everyone is super friendly. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the food. The burger is huge, but fairly salty. The fries are hands down the best. The falafel is decent. I've tried a number of other things off the menu. The chicken burger was an over cooked and dry mass. The chicken shawarma was the same, but the rice was decent. Also I've never had worse chicken wings. Cold, hard, and dry. I liked this place. They were really nice, the sandwiches are big and you can fill them up with a wide selection of toppings. The prices are good too. The food was good. The burger was great and was cooked well, bacon and cheese were good, and the bun was great. Also got poutine and it was also good. The man working was very friendly, too. I tried Five Guys last weekend but after today I wish I had just eaten here. The portions were generous, worth the price, all except the medium fountain drink which was not enough to wash it all down, and refills are fifty cents each. I have no issues with the quality of the food, my issue is integrity. 6 times I have been recently, all 6 times I have asked for no ice in soft drink, 6 times the staff/owners have tried to load in into my drink. I ordered a home burger today and got what looked like a raw burger. When I showed them they said it was because it was lean beef. I have made hundreds of burgers and have even ground steaks for burgers myself and I have never seen beef that does not change colour when cooked. I have however seen horse meat that stays red after cooking. I have eaten at Dandy's many times previously but I won't be going back to Dandy's ever again.
