I have heard about this place recently from my neighbor. Being someone who really enjoys barbecue, I felt I owed it to myself to give it a shot. Located in nearby Seaford, Dang BBQ is housed in an old Diner, which still looks like an old diner. I had to pull over to ask where to park, due to construction out front, and it not being clear that the commuter lot in the back was also for the restaurant. I walked in and was the only customer there... As many people seem to not know that they are re-opened for in-house dining. So, that is where my critical comments end. I ordered a two meat sampler: sliced brisket and pulled pork... They were fantastic! I had a side of baked beans that were truly great... I was given a variety of different types of barbecue sauce is, which different by region, one better than the next! The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, and even offered to get me an extension cord for my laptop if I needed it. Multiple people came by to check on me and make sure that I was enjoying my meal. To be completely honest, I loved being in a quiet, nearly empty restaurant, because I was doing a work lunch - and was able to make a few phone calls, and get a lot more done than I would if it were crazy and loud. So many things to choose from on the menu. Bacon brisket empanadas were sooo good. If you are hungry definitely go with a skillet it is very very filling and you will have leftovers. Definitely will be coming back. read more

Run, don't walk! My family always gets a pit platter with a nice sampling of all of the meats and sauces. Each meat has its own sauce pairing which is fun to discover. Super friendly and helpful staff. I've only taken it to go but the inside looks nice. read more

This place is great! My family and I took a trip there a couple of months ago for a soft opening before the restaurant actually opened to the public. The food was fresh, plentiful, and hot. The owner and his wife came over to us after to ask how everything was and were very appreciative of their guests. The food was delicious, we ordered the grilled chicken dinner which came with 2 sides and cornbread , wings (Wednesday buy 10 wings get 10 free) the Beyond Island Burger and a chocolate shake . New menu/new prices/changes to recipes. We won't be back. Sorry to say! We spoke to the manager and he did offer up some explanations but the food was just disappointing. We requested the corn bread, salads, and Mac and Cheese be brought out first. Before we had time to eat the salad the entrees and Mac and Cheese arrived. The Mac and Cheese is no longer served with a pretzel crust. According to the manager, people no longer like the pretzel crust. He did offer to add panko. The Shrimp and Grits aren't made with peppers and onions anymore, but the manager told us we can order it that way in the future. The Chicken Finger Basket comes with Fries and Texas Toast, Seems odd to include two pieces of bread with Chicken Fingers, why no corn bread? The fries were soggy and the ketchup on the table tasted bad. When we asked where the coleslaw was, the waitress brought some., Unfortunately, it tasted spoiled and was inedible. The one meat platter was served on a plastic plate and was cold. The corn bread was sitting in-the juice from the meat and was too mushy to eat. I told the waitress and she brought me a new order of brisket in a cast iron dish, which was hot. I feel badly leaving such a harsh review for a neighborhood business but for the $120.00 that meal cost, we could definitely find a better restaurant to eat at. read more

Unfortunately very disappointing experience. Decided to try this place for takeout after hearing all of the positive reviews. Ordered a couple of rib platters, brisket, pulled pork, the works. Every rack of ribs was cooked completely differently, with some being so charred that half of the rack was inedible. Others were smoked so heavily that there was no flavor aside from the smokiness, and not in a good way. Brisket was not cooked properly either. My husband and I have been waiting for the Seaford location to open. My husband had the ribs, which were a bit dry and chewy. The sides he had were mac n cheese and coleslaw, both were very good. Sorry to write this because I like the owner. Anthony's a good guy but I have to be honest. I bought three Pulled Pork/French Fries dishes ($35). To start immediately I noticed the fires were soft/almost mushy, very thin and had no taste. The meat in the sandwich was chunky and on my forth or so bite I was greeted with a mouth full of chunky fat...which i had to spit out. I wasn't feeling comfortable nor did I enjoy the flavor/taste/texture of the meat then my friend eating one of the other sandwich said these exact words, and threw down his fork, "This is disgusting. This is the worst pork sandwich I've ever had. I then realized it wasn't me and it was indeed the food. I joined him and threw my food into the dish...then we threw all three into the trash. I used to love Dang. I was a 2 to 3 times a month regular. Unfortunately the menu has changed, the quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. Dang BBQ is now a Roadhouse, the owners haven't really grasped the concept. I feel bad because I've become close with the waitstaff and miss Gina a lot. She was our all time favorite. Just ordered takeout. This was our first time trying Dang bbq. Food was so delicious. I hate when you get bbq and the meat is dry or tough. This meat was tender and soft and falling off the bone. My husband had the ribs and smoked chicken combo. I had the pulled pork and chicken thigh combo. Both were amazing. Sides were amazing. My 2 year old was eating pork with her hands thats how soft it was. We will def be eating here again. I was driving by when I saw this place from the road. The neon drew me in ,big fan of neon. When I went inside, the place looked so great,a full bar and great smell. My waitress was very nice. The beers were ice cold. I went for lunch,so it was not too crowed which made the experience very nice.I had the pulled pork,it was great,get with no sauce and add your own(that's just me). Finally convinced my hubster to try this place. We started with the burnt ends. For $17, we will pass next time. We are used to burnt ends smothered in sauce. They were dry giant chunks. Next on to the main meal. I got brisket with Mac and cheese and baked beans as my sides which were all good. I felt the portion size of the Mac and cheese could have been larger, most likely because I liked it. The cornbread was delicious. I should have gotten extra since my baby demanded more and more.
