Live in the area but never tried this location. We started with the barvarian pretzel, avocado smash, and boneless wings. All very good! Our waiter was very nice and attentive. I had a Tito's with pineapple and the electron burger with tater tots which was very good. Loved whatever the sauce was that came with the tots. My husband had the turkey burger. My daughter had the Mac and cheese which was not as good as I thought it would be but she seemed ok with it. The rest of the group seemed to have enjoyed their meals as well. The prices for burgers are steep but I suppose expected these days. Parking in the bowling alley was also tight but not their fault. *Beware they may charge your card twice and had us not been diligent checking our card charges we would not have realized. The other half of party was never charged even though we gave 2 different credit cards and told waiter to split the bill. Each party signed and tipped on the receipts. When we called they apologized and basically said to resolve amongst ourselves which is awkward to tell your friend. I took off star for this which is a shame bc our service was excellent. This is my first Yelp review ever and unfortunately, it's a negative one. But I felt I had to after what I witnessed on Wednesday evening (09/02/26) at the Massapequa Burgerology location. My husband and I live in Massapequa, and we come here frequently. The restaurant was busy and clearly understaffed for the amount of customers. The waiter was a very polite young man, and the bartender, who we see there regularly, is also a very polite young woman. They both had positive attitudes and were really hustling to keep up with the workload. The way the manager berated this young female bartender in front of customers was totally unprofessional, disrespectful, and inappropriate on so many levels. The look on this young woman's face as she was berated by this manager broke my heart. The food was good and the service was also good BECAUSE of this young man's and young woman's positive attitude. But what we witnessed tonight left a bad taste in our mouths. Get this manager some professional management training and anger-management training. I work in Human Resources, and this man is an HR nightmare! And maybe an apology to this poor girl is in order! Do better Burgerology! read more

Service is quick and accommodating Jackson seated us with a big smile as soon as we entered. We asked for the booth and he sat us immediately Jaclyn our server came and took our order. My husband and I are regular customers here along with a large group of our neighbors. We often have other groups of people come and meet us here as well. We are often at the bar two to three times a week. The reason? The bartenders and servers. They are amazing. However, the last few months a new manager took over and the whole vibe has changed. They honestly all look miserable. This being said, they still provided us with great service and conversation. I found out yesterday and cannot believe that our two favorite bartenders were fired for doing the right thing for the regulars. The regulars who are at the bar all the time - the people who bring in a lot of the business to the bar and restaurant. These two bartenders always recognized that and appreciated it. This manager has no clue what he is doing and is ruining the place. Needless to say they have just lost a huge group of patrons by firing Chris and Kristin. What a shame! read more

New to the neighborhood, we are always searching for new places to visit. Parking is not a problem and found the place to be well decorated. Well staffed and anxious to assist. Had a couple of drinks that were on par. We shared a corn beef egg rolls which were delicious. Our burgers were cooked to perfection but found the burger to lack flavor- I like beef without ketchup. Still good but also a bit undersized for the $20 fee. Did enjoy for another $4 loaded fries. Unfortunately, I left hungry which is not a good sign. Suggest offering larger burgers. read more

Ordered boneless wings for an appetizer that my wife and I shared and they were warm at best and thrown on a dish with 2 old looking celery sticks and 1 carrot, it looked like a hot mess and missing dipping sauce, we asked the kid who dropped it off and he completely ignored us and walked away. Smash burger was smaller and chewy when it used to be larger and tender and regular burger was just dry and grizzly. I know it's tough to make money nowadays with everything being so expensive but in a town like Massapequa where we spend a lot of money to live here we need better quality food. We went to Burgerology in Massapequa about 8 weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks, ambiance and the staff. We liked it so much that we decided to return about a month ago. Unfortunately, our experience this time was nothing like the first. My wife's drink was not made well (the first time it was perfect), so it was sent back and a glass of wine was substituted, my Scotch on the rocks, came back watery (I've been drinking this particular Scotch for many years, so I would know). Our food order was taken and when delivered, my wife's meal was incorrect (the waiter, realized he made an error using the handheld point of sale device). At this point the waiter said it would only be a few minutes to replace the order (quesadillas) and to his credit, the original drink order was remade, correctly. Unfortunately, the food order, even after several visits by the waiter assuring us that the corrected order would be right out, the food order did not arrive. By this time, although I tried not to complete my meal, we'd had enough and got up to leave. The waiter (again to his credit) went to the manager, explained the issue and she comped us the meal, I did give the waiter the tip I would have, if the meal was as planned. I don't know if the bartender was new or if the cook was overwhelmed (I doubt it as the restaurant was not crowded, as it was well before 6:00 on a Friday), but we will not be going back to that location. read more

I have been coming to massapequa burgerology before it was burgerology and when it was NY burger bar. I used to come in by myself all the time. I haven't been for few months. I sat at the bar and another couple was at bar, appeared to be a server's parents. My bartender forgot something on my order, and I had to wait because she kept disappearing. I wanted another drink and dessert. By this time she said she was going to starbucks to pick up her order. By this time my water, drink, and plate have been empty for 15 minutes, I decided to ask the server who was ignoring me talking to her parents if I could pay. I never got my 2nd drink, refilled water and was not even wanting dessert by this time. I always overtip because I've worked in industry. I actually undertipped that's how unsatisfied I was. I love this place. Lucky for us We are in walking distance from this restaurant. Food is always fantastic. Staff is always so friendly and nice. The manager is really a great guy. For my son's 10th birthday last month I simply called and made a reservation for 8 as it is his favorite place to go , sports on TV drop dead burgers, just a great vibe.
