As you all know ive been very ill recently and broken ankle and haven't worked in 2 years. . I cannot really tolerate solid food too much. BUT i was really craving this spot. I went and as usual was greeted by the most friendly people ever. I ordered one dog and a small mashed potato. Was ready super quick. It will take me prob 3 days to finish it but the two bites i had were delicious. Its very rare to find a place where the staff is so happy and nice. I rarely leave my apt anymore cause i get shitty service everywhere around me but i knew it i went here it would be great and it was. Love them read more

I had 2 nathans hot dog, large fries and a can of soda and it was around $20. A bit pricey but I get it. Tasted just like Nathans should, especially the fries, however the buns were spongy like they were steamed. I always remember the buns being room temp and slightly / tosted crunchy. The order took a bit longer than expected as they cook to order. I will come back to try some other offerings. read more

Was open on Memorial Day, the service was great. The ambiance was cool, very eclectic with things from the 40/50s. Food was good, had the hot dog with relish, onions and ketchup. Frank was very kind and friendly, as well as the lady that took my order. Shall be returning when I'm in a hot dog mood :))) read more

Would've been 5 stars if not for their online ordering being an abysmal failure. Placed an order through their site about 20 minutes before arrival, even got a confirmation text so I was confident things would be in order when I arrived. Unfortunately my mention of having placed the order online when I got there was met with a blank stare and confusion. Somehow nobody knew of it or could find the order anywhere. Showed them the confirmation and that it had been paid and thankfully they got right on it after that. Had to wait about 15 minutes more but once I got the food everything was hot and very tasty. Minus the initial confusion staff was also very friendly and attentive. I'll definitely give them another shot but probably phone in the order instead. read more

I came here on a 4th of July because everything else was closed. I'm glad I did because I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. I had the Manhattan burger and French Fries and both were very good. The staff was nice and the place was clean. I will be back. read more

I wish I could give it even more stars, but 5 is the most Yelp allows. This Nathan's location is very special. After leaving LI for work, it's been a decade since I had a Nathan's hot dog. I wanted to introduce my son to the dogs I used to love. I was sad to learn the location I used to go to no longer was in operation. Boy was that a blessing, otherwise we wouldn't have found this place. It's like walking back in time. I forgot how fast food chains, even the big ones, used to decorate the interior. And I loved them ordering over the microphone to the kitchen, I thought it was 1980. You don't see that anymore, the atmosphere here is so warm, cozy, and inviting. It's so rare. The place is incredibly clean, the service is excellent, and the owner is a handsome, charismatic, and entertaining who hand picked each piece of the decor. In talking to him, you can hear and feel the pride he takes in this place. They even had red opinions for the dogs, which the old Nathan's didn't have. I saw an Arthur Treacher's menu, which took me way back to when they were a stand alone restaurant just a little further down Merrick Rd, and had to order the shrimp basket. My expectations were low, figuring they would be something like breaded rubber but good enough to convey the cocktail sauce that I really wanted. Wow! I was surprised to actually taste shrimp, and it wasn't rubbery at all. Very impressive. Everything was so authentic, the dogs, the Nathan's fries, the toppings...everything. But there were so many little unexpected enhancements that added so much without changing the product or eroding the authenticity. Th is now going to be a tradition for me and my family every time we return to the Island for a visit. Oh shoot, did I say Arthur Treacher's...I forgot to get Hush Puppies. Oh well, guess I am headed back there later today! And did I mention how handsome the owner is? read more

I was sad to see the previous occupant taco joint close after a long run, but the Nathan's famous french fries on the sign caught my eye, So I dared to go in and try them out. I loved all the nostalgic Nathan's decor, a tribute to the renowned pioneer Nathan's at Coney Island. Inside It looks like they were here a long time, with balance of displayed memorabilia and modern ordering technology. Has an eye appealing array of lighted menu boards depicting a wide range of mouth watering entrees offered, such as fried chicken, Hot dogs, burgers, cheesesteaks, etc. Loved the friendly staff, spotless dining area, available beverage selection and deserts, my order was hot and delicious. I lunched here two days in a row and then took home a big order as dinner for the family, who praised every bite. I recommend you try them, you'll love it. read more

LOVE that we still have a NATHANS outside of Coney Island, after so many of the local places closing. You do have to *insist* that/ when u want hot dogs on the grill *very well done* but since there's no such thing as "too well done" it's easy enough to have them throw it back on the grill. Excellent fries, combos available (although I'd rather fountain over canned sodas). They also are "chicken first, Nathan's second" hot dog place, and the fried chicken is incredibly juicy and crispy. Definitely recommended for a great no-nonsense, nostalgic meal. read more

Reviewing Chicken Holiday Bellmore featuring Nathans. I have always gone to the Chicken Holiday in Baldwin and was sad to see them close that location. I have only been to the Bellmore location once but the chicken seemed to be as good. They seem to have changed the fries. Now the fries at Chicken Holiday in Baldwin were nothing "special" but I still preferred them for some reason. The new store is definitely cuter looking and has a few tables to eat in. The prices increased which I figured, but they had better lunch specials at Baldwin that included a soda. I will be back to get the ribs and the wings that I also like. read more

I must tell you the franks were the way I remembered them when I was a kid going to Nathan 's in Coney Island They had a snap when you took a bite.
