I was experiencing irritation in my ankle from stiff skates but they put bandage and tape to prevent it from getting worse. These pros are the real deal, full package. They even taught me rollerskate maintenance and a little five minute lesson. These are people who are passionate and care as well as the djs and every staff member. Keep this gem in chino open as long as possible. I highly recommend the lessons on Saturdays from 11-12 because you also have free skate with a dj after. Love skate express.

I appreciated that they made "helper" carts available. It had been a looooong while since I last skated and I was worried I'd fall. Nothing doing - because I took advantage of the helper thingie. These do cost extra ($10) and you have to make sure to return it at the end of the evening. I liked the rink itself - it was old, and I was therefore less prone to slipping and falling. It was fun to see regular patrons show off their skills. The DJ also announced backward skating - for those who can. It was great fun - I'd come again.

If you bring your own you don't have to rent or pay a fee, just your ticket for entry. It's been more packed now so the line to get in is longer, getting a table is harder, parking is worse. PARKING: The parking lot is small so I had to park around the block, but it's not a long walk. But now that's it's busier you have to drive around the block tryna find street parking. INSIDE: The place itself is super cute. They have a small store where you can purchase skates and skate accessories, They have tables and lockers, Vending machines, photo booth, the skate rental area, bathrooms and floor is carpet(for safety) and of course the skating rink. FOOD: They also sell food and beverages. And have vending machines next to the rink. Water, Soda, pizza, slushys, popcorn, nachos and a few more things I can't think of right now( basically snacking food). Online they have their calendar with the "events". Each "event" is themed/based on a. Artist, music genre, or age range. Some nights are 18+ others are all ages. So I would recommend looking into the theme of the night before going.

Let me be very clear: this place does not want you here -- at least, not if you look, sound, or…read moreskate like you're from the culture that literally kept roller skating alive for the last 30 years. The wheel policy is where the bias gets embarrassing. Staff will stop you at the door -- or yank you off the floor mid-session -- over your wheels. Fiberglass wheels which is a stape in the SoCal Skate Community for "floor safety concern," while soft wheels on the rec crowd roll right past without a second glance. There is zero scientific or mechanical basis for this. It is not about the floor. What those wheels actually signal is the skater's community -- and that is exactly what's being policed here. The wheel thing is a well-known dog whistle in the community. Rinks have been using it for years as a clean, deniable way to turn away skaters they've already decided they don't want. "It's a policy" -- sure. A policy applied with laser focus to one demographic while everyone else gets waved through? That's not a policy. That's a pattern. You can feel the culture being managed out of the building in real time. Management has that particular talent for plausible deniability -- nothing they do is technically illegal, so they think that makes it acceptable. It doesn't. The urban SoCal skate community built its entire identity on rinks just like this one, and watching this place treat that community like a liability rather than the lifeblood it is? Deeply embarrassing for everyone involved. Two stars only because the floor itself is decent and the rental skates are clean. Everything else -- the wheel profiling, the coded hostility -- is a one-star experience dressed up in a rink uniform. There are other spots in SoCal that actually want your energy. Go find them.

They are right outside the rink so parking and walking over was super convenient. The parking has a limit of 90 minutes which is the same amount of time for one skating session so that worked out perfectly. There was also a parking lot nearby but I didn't wander over there. The inside of the facility is huge as well as the ice rink itself. I had registered online ahead of time, so I just had to give them my name at the check in counter. The rental skates are right next to the check in and u just told them my size. I should have gotten half a size smaller than my sneaker size for a snug fit. It's also better to wear thicker socks for a more comfortable wear since the skates can be quite stiff. There are benches to sit and change into the skates. Inside the rink there are benches and locker too (need two quarters). I left my shoes under the bench in the main lobby area and it was fine. One of the skates had wet shoelaces which I thought was weird, but other than that the skates were nice and clean. The inside of the rink area was quite cold so I'm glad I brought gloves. There were more people than I expected. (More than the website was showing how many people registered.) Despite the number of people, there was still a lot of space on the ice. The ice wasn't too bad, but I wish it was smoother. Over time, it got rougher from all the people skating. There were some tiny chips/dips in the ice too, which isn't very safe to skate over. Skating over them caused me to lose balance for a quick second. Thankfully no falls. I wish they would smooth it out at least once during the session. It's quite loud on the ice and hard to talk. The bench area was fine though.

Saturday showed up for the 5pm 90 minute skating block. It was $25 pp and $18 if you wanted the optional skating assistant walker thing. Constructive criticism - bathrooms were kind of gross with over flowing trash A huge rink

I go way back with Gil, even into the ice hockey days. Brian and Gil are both really neat guys. It was really cool when they were able to add the roof and the side covers so roller hockey would almost never be interrupted due to inclement weather. They have a good number of heavy duty fans that keep the place at a decent playing temperature even when it's hot outside. So, I retired from roller hockey at 36 years old, which was 14 years ago now. This place has always been my first choice for roller hockey play. For a few years, I even coached the younger kids with my great friend Bill, who is now a Rink manager here for Gil and Brian. From time to time, I come back and visit. I watch my friend Bill play, just watch any games that are going on when I pass by, and I have other friends and even a neighbor that has a son that I came to watch him play. About six years ago, I came back and played a one day tournament to benefit the family of my good friend Wayne that played here as he had passed on. Through the years playing and just being here, it is family that we always are to each other. Here, they have some cool stuff to offer. It is cool to get items from the snack bar when it's open. They have a pro shop where you can get equipment items for all your roller hockey needs. They have sitting and standing areas to watch the roller hockey games. They even have a big screen TV surrounded by three couches that you can watch sporting events on. I am so grateful that this building and CSHA was established and has been here for so many years!!! I highly recommend anyone who wants to play whether adult or youth, any ages, male or female, there is a team for everyone to play at very competitive prices here! Game on!!!
