My daughter is new to this gym, and so far, we're really happy with the experience. The classes are always full, which shows how popular and trusted the program is. Despite the high volume of students, the gym is run in an organized way. My daughter is a visual learner, so we really appreciate that the coaches take time to demonstrate the skills (either themselves or by using students as examples) rather than just explaining things verbally. This has made a big difference in her learning. Another thing I love is how clean the facility is. The staff is constantly cleaning the floors, equipment, and restrooms, which is especially important given how many kids are in and out throughout the day. You also don't often find a gymnastics facility that can accommodate and have enough seating for 50+ parents to sit comfortably on the sidelines while watching and waiting. It makes the experience more pleasant and welcoming for families.One of our favorite things is their flexible makeup class policy. All 3 of our kids started at this gym by doing Mommy and me clases. Our two girls have stayed taking classes and fell in love with the sport. Now our oldest competes and her sister is getting ready for her first competitive season next year. They love their coaches and we love how they're devoted to them and care that they keep getting better. We trust that they know what they're doing and our kids just love being here. The owner is always doing what's best for her gym, coaches, and kids. Can't imagine the amount of work it goes into dealing with all those things at once but the gym shows she's been improving it from the first moment we stepped into the gym up until now. I have been bringing my children to Stars for 4.5 years. My oldest started before her 3rd birthday and my younger daughter as soon as she could walk (15 months). My girls have gone through the mommy and me classes to the rec classes to now being on team and pre-team. At Stars there's a class for EVERYONE no matter the age or skill level. The coaches are fun with the kids and yes some of the coaching staff is young but don't get it twisted, they definitely know what they're doing. They have the largest facility I've seen in the area and host lots of fun events for the kids as well. If you're on the fence, I'd say try it out. I'm sure your children will love it. read more

We started coming in March of last year to recreational classes and my kid loved it. She was able to try out for team and she made it. As a team member she's grown in a lot of skills and confidence. This place is not cleaned nor sanitized. Ever since my daughter joined she kept getting sick. She had Strep Throat and then a month later, Hand, Foot, and Mouth. We stopped taking her to her classes and she hasn't gotten sick with another nasty virus or cold. The place also smells. In regards to bullying, there was an incident of her being bullied by another little girl calling her fat and the coach said she had told the girl something but I feel that it should have been addressed with the parent. My daughters have been coming here for 3 months now. After the first session my 5 year old developed a rash on both arms (from the floor exercises) which turned out to be ringworm. The following week I asked the girl at the front how often they sanitize or wash the mats and she could not give me an answer. Today I walked in to see trash pieces and used bandaids on the mats. My daughter has been going to stars gymnastics for 4 years now and she looks forward to attending every weekend. I have noticed a lot of changes in this gym that I feel is a great benefit to the children who attend, i.e. new equipment, new staff.. Although the price has gone up a bit, it's still very affordable and I wouldn't take my daughter anywhere else. Staff is very friendly and they work hard with our kids. I signed up my son for a Ninja program trial class online and the trial class was supposed to be "free." I signed up online and was told there was be no charge and it's a free class. I was very excited for my son to try it out since he was a big fan of American Ninja Warrior. When we arrived to sign in, the lady told me that the trial class fee was $10. I questioned her about the free class and even showed her the email confirmation that shows FREE TRIAL CLASS. There was nothing in the email mentioning a fee and not to forget to mention, this place didn't even have an event reminder to parents. The lady explained that because they have moved location so they forgot to update it on the website so the fee is $10. Well I didn't want to just leave and didn't let my son to try out the program so I paid. But I felt ripped off because I signed up for free class and now they rip me off by getting me all the way there and have to pay. It's kind of like false advertising. After I paid, I heard another parent questioning the same thing behind me. The class was taught by some very young coaches, the one did the warm up was very distracted by other coworkers so she was very slow when giving instructions. The class looked structured having kids to try each obstacle but didn't see they show the kids any techniques. After the class, the staff didn't even tell us about the price until I waited and asked how much is the monthly fee. I was told it's 4 classes for $70 a month. That's kind of pricey considering a hour of trying obstacles and with bunch of kids. I don't think I want to come back after this first experience. I felt that if they already knew it was their mistake for not updating the website for those who signed up for a FREE class, they should not charge anyone or at least give us an update before the class and see if we still want to attend with a fee charge. read more

To sign up you pay an annual fee, plus the the first month. The equipment looks taken care of and the facility looks clean. The people in the front desk don't really like to be bothered. But I didn't mind that. My issue with this school began with them changing my daughters coach every two weeks. And even more when I noticed that the coaches are very young girls that are still in highschool who mess around while teaching a class. Why am I being charged $80 for four sessions to someone who barely has an idea of what their doing? Just because these coaches are gymnasts doesn't make them qualified to teach children. The class is 45 minutes long but there's a 10 minute warm up and and a 5 minute cool down at the end. Which means she's basically only learning for 30mins per class. So I pulled my daughter out and took her somewhere else. I want her to progress and I just don't see it here. read more

We chose this location because it was very close to our home. There were so many things that we did not like from this place! First, my daughter was placed with coach Sophia which had absolutely no skills to be working with children. She was always angry, NEVER complimented my daughter or other girls in her group. She was already frustrated when my daughter because she couldn't do things the first, second or third time! Well, I admit she doesn't have good upper body strength but please be patient and make her feel like she's trying! I was always watching and listening to coach Sophia and I never heard her say good job or good try! One time my daughter fell off one of the balancing beams and she got mad at my daughter instead of checking go to see if she was ok! I had to bite my tongue many times because I knew my daughter looked forward to gym class, each time I was hoping that things would improve but they didn't! To top things off on the last day of class all the girls received a certificate to go to the next level except my daughter and two other girls. I totally understand that she needs to more work but a simple certificate of completion would of been nice or at least a good job or even a high five! Instead we walked out with my daughter crying because she felt she didn't do well! I told her a certificate didn't mean anything! She tried her best and that's all that mattered! I'll never EVER return or recommend this place to anyone! I seriously rather drive farther and lay more to get better service and have my child feel appreciated! read more

My two daughters just started tumbling and now beginning gymnastics here. This facility is FAR cleaner than any other gymnastics gym we toured in the area. The teachers are AMAZING especially Sophia, who takes her time with each student. The girls that work the front desk could not be any nicer! The prices are fantastic and beat out their competition. I've been taking my daughter to this gym for more than a year. The communication is terrible, no one at the front desk could help you because they only service recreational students. If you need answers you need to email a coach or Lorena. Ive also been told not to call you should only email. I've also had to wait to speak to someone (no one from the front will call someone up to help you) I've had 4 instances where either their time or my time was wasted all due to lack/clarity of communications. In all instances someone is blaming someone or their is an excuse. Lorena is not very approachable because if you've wasted her time there is no doubt you will pay, the conversation will get loud and there will be a scene. As for the coaching, there are some good coaches. I'm not impressed with this facility, not only for the lack of communication. It's unfortunate that my child likes this sport and she suffers. UPDATE: As a result of my negative review Lorena has chosen to kick my daughter out of the program. As to send a message. Please do not let anyone ever try to shut you up by trying to punish your child for speaking up and out about your dissatisfactions! read more

New to stars Gymnastics. I recently signed my 5 year old daughter and have some constructive criticism. It seems to me that her training is really short and not really worth the pay. I've seen repetitive "warm ups" stretching, water brakes take much of her time there rather then her actually work on her technique etc. not to mentioned she is a part a group of 5 so she has to wait for her turn to even have a try at any technical training and if she's lucky she gets two attempts. My advice would be that you communicate with us the parents what type of growth trajectory their child is going through during her time at stars gymnastics. Meaning how do we measure growth? How do we know our child is on track? As a parent some of us work really hard to put our children in extra curricular sport programs with the hopes that through these programs it would enhance the chances of our children to succeed in life through sports. We come from an athletic family and our daughter is currently in gymnastics, soccer, Taekwondo, and swimming. read more

My five year old son attended 5 classes and the entire time the coaches made every effort to pressure me to enroll him in the most expensive class. They claimed he required too much attention and would do better one on one for THREE times the price! MY REVIEW IS NOT DIRECTED TOWARDS OR FOR THE COUCHES! My review is directed for the girl in the front!! She has no clue to what she is doing! I pay monthly with a check and for the past 2 months since the pregnant girl has been on maternity leave.... I am told "I can not make my payment until the 15th!!" When I was told by the pregnant girl and the blonde lady "to make the payment early (before the 15th) so I can keep my kids spot!!" I was just told "she can't take the payment until the supervisor says she can and open enrollment isn't until the 15th! I went through this last month for her to only say (20 minutes later) "oh it's ok to accept your payment!" It's disappointing. My daughter is excited to join this sport. We walk in and was not welcomed. The environment wasn't welcoming. At the front desk we asked for pricing how things work and we were just given a piece of paper. So basically figure it out ourselves. I'm wondering if they do the same with their classes. This is by far the best investment I have made in my daughters life. She has been attending this gym since she was only 10 yrs old.
