Decent ice skating rink, but the ice could be smoother. Arrived at 11am last Saturday and there were still a couple street parking spaces available. They are right outside the rink so parking and walking over was super convenient. The parking has a limit of 90 minutes which is the same amount of time for one skating session so that worked out perfectly. There was also a parking lot nearby but I didn't wander over there. The inside of the facility is huge as well as the ice rink itself. I had registered online ahead of time, so I just had to give them my name at the check in counter. The rental skates are right next to the check in and u just told them my size. I should have gotten half a size smaller than my sneaker size for a snug fit. It's also better to wear thicker socks for a more comfortable wear since the skates can be quite stiff. There are benches to sit and change into the skates. Inside the rink there are benches and locker too (need two quarters). I left my shoes under the bench in the main lobby area and it was fine. One of the skates had wet shoelaces which I thought was weird, but other than that the skates were nice and clean. The inside of the rink area was quite cold so I'm glad I brought gloves. There were more people than I expected. (More than the website was showing how many people registered.) Despite the number of people, there was still a lot of space on the ice. The ice wasn't too bad, but I wish it was smoother. Over time, it got rougher from all the people skating. There were some tiny chips/dips in the ice too, which isn't very safe to skate over. Skating over them caused me to lose balance for a quick second. Thankfully no falls. I wish they would smooth it out at least once during the session. It's quite loud on the ice and hard to talk. Looking for a place to ice skate at first went to spectrum but there was over a 2 hour wait and impossible parking. Shifted plans and found this place. Saturday showed up for the 5pm 90 minute skating block. It was $25 pp and $18 if you wanted the optional skating assistant walker thing. They had lockers to put your things in for 50 cents but most ppl just lined up their shoes along the wall. Super fun would like to do it again maybe next year. Parking fills up quick in the lot and on the street but thankfully there is a cement parking structure across the street. Be sure to bring your ticket to get it validated!! There is 2 rinks; Olympic is colder than Rink 1 but it's double sweatshirt minimum no matter how you cut it. Snack bar can get busy but the staff is always efficient. There's popcorn, pretzels, cup of noodles, candy, granola bars, candy, etc. No deep fried options. Love the pro shop! They have everything you could need and from time to time have really great sales. I got a $150 stick for 50% off. read more

Our 4 year old took group lessons here through the city and she loved it! Coach Jordan and Coach Clarissa were awesome! They were so patient and kind and made each session really fun for the kids. The parking lot across the street is pretty easy to park in, just remember to validate your parking. They are now a ticketless lot, so scam QR code or enter your license plate at kiosk by skate rental desk. Highly recommend for beginner lessons and all ages! read more

Haven't skated in over 10 years. My back will probably take another 10 years to heal. Kid was happy to skate around, gave him some great video fodder for painful wipeouts. Staff was efficient and friendly. the other skaters we polite for the most part, as there are always the few show-off speedsters that I assume are trying to impress someone or themselves. It's a good thing they never look back, they may be traumatized by all the blood and gore in their wake. (ok, maybe I exaggerated just a little) So, open skate fun. Parking challenging, but doable. Toilets work. Snack shop closed last time we were there. Go have fun. Don't forget the tiger balm and salonpas patches. read more

Anaheim ICE is a solid spot for both casual skaters and hockey players. The rink is well maintained, and the building has that cool, futuristic design. Public skate sessions are fun and usually well organized, and the ice is kept in good condition compared to other local rinks. Only reason for docking a star is the parking it can be tough to find a spot during busy hours and it gets pretty packed on weekends. Also, rentals could use an upgrade some of the skates are a bit worn out. I have been to this rink a few times now and had good experiences for the most part, my recent visit started off a bit rocky because of the young lady cashier that seem like she just did not want to be working or maybe she was having a bad day; i asked to pay for 2 people for a session and 2 rentals for skates she told me the amount I paid and she said "next" I asked her where do I go for the skate rentals and she said " what size do you need?" Then she went got the skates. If she knew she was supposed to give me the rentals after I paid I don't understand why she was so rude to ask for the next person inline to come. Went ice skating here with my family and it was a fun time! We did the 2 hour free skate with a 2 yr old and it was fine. We rented one of those seals so he could ride on it. My son enjoyed it and we did too. It was crowded on a Friday night, but most of the people here couldn't skate well so there were a lot of people hanging on the side. There were some people in the middle that were doing private ice skating & hockey lessons and sometimes the hockey players would skate very quickly between lesser experienced skaters which caused people to fall, but it wasn't terrible. We walked over to the other rink and saw a college game being played so that was cool too. My only qualm was that my skate fit in the shoe area, but no matter how I tied it the ankle area was too large. I ended up having to tie the lace around my skin which ultimately cut me very deep and has hampered my walking a bit. Sometime to be aware of! They also have children's skates, but no changing room in the women's restroom at least, so it was a struggle to navigate a diaper change with sharp blades on me and my kid. read more

I brung by 9 year old to the rinks in Anaheim California. We got there and the service there was awful. We had a public skate and there were so many people slashing into us. Then we wanted a drink and went to the vending machine and wanted a sprite, so we payed and pressed the sprite button and it gave us Dr Pepper! then when my daughter needed a skate seal and we payed a outrageous 18 dollars for it. We were using it and 5 teenage kidsstole it right from our hands! If you want to pay outrageous amounts of money to ice skate don't go to the rinks anahiem IT SUCKS!!! read more

I took my beautiful 2 twin daughters here for a fun mommy daughter day. First we got there and I signed my daughters in to go skate. My pretty little girls Lucy and Lacy, wanted one of those blue seal things that you hold onto, so of course I rented it for 18 DOLLARS!!! We went out to the rinks and I was watching them and got many videos of them playing on it and I turn away for one second and next thing I know they come up to me CRYING because 3 teenage boys came up to them and stole it!! I told the desk, INFURIATED and they did nothing. I tried to cheer my girls up by buing them sprites from the vending machine and it gave my DR PEPPERS!! I am never coming back here. As a hockey parent trying to get your child on the ice as much as possible. So we check out all of the Los Angeles Kings rings and Mighty Ducks. The ice conditions vary between rings. Some are very well maintained some are barely holding up. Anaheim Ice is in the middle. Even after the Zamboni the ice is still very chopped up. But it works. I can also say this is one of the coldest drinks when you're watching the kids play. The staff has always been nice to us especially in the Pro shop. The two women that work there are amazing. They sharpen States they fit you for skates they're all around great people to have in your location. The Downside to this particular rink is Not the staff not the facility but The people the parents period They're really rude. Like no manners. Like if their s*** doesn't stink. They bump into you without saying excuse me. You're sitting there getting your child dressed they will literally drop the bag on your feet to try and get you to move so they can set their kids down. It's just really weird with this particular ring. But that doesn't reflect the staff and the rink itself. See you guys soon read more

Went for a late night skate and it was definitely a vibe. Emptier rink with people just cruising around. I'm still a beginner (I'm pretty sure I will stay one for a very long time...) and there was plenty of space for me to practice. Didn't have to constantly worry about possible collisions. Super pleasant experience! I will say that the ice has seen some better days. It could definitely be a lot better, but with the amount of use it goes through, it's somewhat understandable. Parking can be a bit tricky. There's a designated lot for the rink, but it fills up fast. Limited street parking is also available. read more

We recently got an emotional support puppy and I know some establishments do not allow them so we called ahead of time to confirm we can bring her because we live an hour away. The staff member we spoke to did confirm they allow emotional support animals. We made the drive down here and the manager said they didn't not allot them in the building. (Also we were going to sit on the sidelines with the puppy) What bugged us the most was the attitude and smugness of the manager when he was telling us we couldn't bring in our puppy. Next time make sure all your staff know the rules before making customer come to the rink. Also, kindness goes a long way, attitude by a manager does not. read more

I would have given 5 stars except that the 1snack stand was supposed to be opened and wasn't. Was going to use vending machines but the change machine was broken and they wouldn't give us change at the check in counter BUT everything else was great. It's nice and clean. It was crowded but not overly. My 3 yr old granddaughter wouldn't even try going on the ice so they refunded our $$ and my autistic granddaughter was scared and cried and cried so they also refunded our $$ for her (both of these within 5 mins of getting skates on). So Anaheim Ice was the first time (me personnel other guys on team played on it) played on during Throwback Anaheim Classic Hockey Tournament. Last year tournament never got schedule game on. So was looking forward playing on another rink in Southern California. Anaheim Ice has two sheets of ice one Olympic and normal size. The ice is perfect. They do amazing job of maintaining the ice year round. It gets used lot between open skates, leagues, and more. Kudos! The locker rooms are sweet. They have shelf out stuff above, hooks underneath hang cloths, and decent size. The showers and bathrooms clean. Pro shop that has most of your basic needs covered plus sells Ducks stuff. Concession stand if hungry or thirsty. Stands decent size on one side of the rink. I love LOVE wooden beam ceiling! It basically looks like boat turned upside down. The boy had a hockey game here this past weekend. It was our first time here....OMG what an amazingly awesome rink!! there are 2 rinks...one of them being Olympic size (not the one we played on). in between the two are the bleachers...and in between the bleachers is a bar/restaurant with viewing (and not as cold inside). Park in garage across the street and get your ticket validated here... grab a drink and a bite to eat and kick back and watch your kids in comfort. the only negative is that the tv's were playing football ...i kept getting distracted by football whistles and sounds ... so we made our way out to the cold bleachers but now immersed in the excitement of the game we were watching! Bring a jacket and a blanket =) Other than the long drive...I look forward to coming here again read more

They are supposed to give ice for free but this girl in the snack bar tried to charge me? Been coming here for several months for my son to learn to skate and learn hockey. To begin with, this location is spacious, clean, organized a snack bar with a variety of goodies. The reason for the four star is the following. My son has private lessons here and one thing I do wish is they had the hockey instructors on their website. ( If they did that they'd be a 5 star) When I asked for hockey skating lessons for my son, they will send the figure skating instructors for lessons. Though I want hockey instructors, they don't have it in the link. I finally had the chance to speak with one of their hockey instructor name Carlos Rich to do stick time. My son was so happy with his first lesson with Carlos. He raved about him and loved his energy. He looked at me and said out all the individuals he has had they don't compare to Carlos. Carlos was so knowledgeable and assisted us at their shop with some gear we needed. Informed me of what my son can do to improve, meet his goals and play. I was impressed and enjoyed how honest, genuine, has a passion for the sport and what he does. My son is eager and motivated since he has been with Carlos. Thank you Carlos for all your help. If you're a parent who has a child who wants to play or learn how to play hockey. I highly recommend Carlos Rich. He's patient with your child and encourages to be more. Ruby was super helpful this afternoon for a public session. Little ones don't need too much time on the ice, so we arrived a fashionably late. She was able to get the kids lined up with rentals quickly and before you know it, we were on the ice enjoying a slammed MLK Day session. Over 150 on the ice on a Monday afternoon, the kids had a blast and really enjoyed themselves. We had such a great experience at Anaheim Ice and will return again very soon. My husband and I took our kids here and the manager Matt tried to get in a fist fight with my husband. My husband asked a worker to save us a seal( which we already paid for) as soon as it's available. My husband saw them saving us one and he went to grab it and the manager Matt grabbed it from my husband and said he was selling it to someone else. My husband said he already paid for it. He was just waiting for one to be available. Matt then proceeds to say that of my husband has a problem then they can step outside and setting things like men. Absolutely ridiculous! This is literally a cool place to chill out! Niki brought me here (the former home of the Anaheim Ducks Hockey Team) to escape the summer/autumn heat. We had found free 90 minute parking on the street about two blocks away. Inside, we were greeted immediately by the fragrance of freshly popped popcorn! Yum! There's a concession stand with all kinds of snacks! However, we skipped the snacks and sat upstairs in the bleachers. We watched some children at practice. They were wearing uniforms and seemed to have a coach. In the corner, a few girls were practicing their balance and spins... wow! I didn't know that we could skate here...haha! I read other reviews that stated that there was a Groupon and that you should look online as to the Free Skate times. Ooh! How fun! We shall return! read more

The pro shop was good if you want to sharpen your skates, they actually can help you do it if your case has never been sharpen it cost 40 bucks after that you can pay 25 bucks to shop in your skates after 15 to 20 hours have been spent using it. They take credit card and it normally takes an hour for them to do it but after it's done, they don't call you. You have to just go there and ask which I don't think it's efficient. I went there after an hour, but they could have called me earlier than that so I don't have to wait that long. Another tip is don't go late at night ice-skating because the ice stair is extremely choppy and very unsafe I've seen a lot of people fall on their back and on and hitting the shoulders and it's just horrific. You can park on the parking lot adjacent to the area that is right across from the rink entrance. Apparently, they don't check for two hours because you can just park there and they will not bother you, which is a plus no lessons I've taken many years ago was not very good. I don't know how things have changed now, but I would recommend watching and observing the lesson to see if they ignore people who don't know how to skate well Because a lot of these teachers from other places they like to ignore people who don't skate well and only help the people who skate well, which does not make any sense. read more
