Just like every other yelp review about Junior, he never disappoints ! Does a great job ALL the time ! Love my hair color. I will be going back for more highlights !! I also tried out his hair products, such as shampoo and hair conditioner, as well as hair mask and it all work wonders! My hair was damage and dried out and after about 5 washes using junior's hair products, my hair looked and definitely felt healthier ! Yasss! Good lookin out junior!

I moved to Chino Hills about a year ago and I've been looking for a good stylist for a while. I found Jr on yelp and he is just awesome, I'm so glad I found him! Got a cut and highlights, so I was there for about 4 hours but time flew by because he made it enjoyable. I love how my hair came out, he listened to what I wanted and gave me just that!

So I first got introduced to Junior by a co-worker of mine a couple years ago. I remember that the reason I contacted him the first time is because I got my hair totally jacked up and wanted it to look as good as my co-workers. Junior totally came through for me and gave me a beautiful balayage ombré. I continued to go to him until I unfortunately moved up north to go to school. If I could have packed him in my suitcase I would have. While I was up north I wanted to make a huge change and go short and blonde...huge mistake. This girl turned me bright orange and sent me on my way. I went to 2 other "great hairstylists" to fix the mess and they ended up making it worse. How they did that I'm not sure. I had to graduate nursing school with ugly muddy ashy streaky hair and it was so sad. Once again junior to the rescue. I came home and showed him my hair and he said "oh no hunny I can fix that". He made my hair so beautiful that I started to cry twice in his chair. I always knew junior was the best in the hair industry but this experience confirmed it!!

At my appointment, Kaz started with a wash and then spent a solid 40-60 minutes on the cut. He's super detailed. It felt like he was paying attention to every single strand. I love how it turned out.!!! After washing, my hair just falls into place naturally. I barely have to style it...just brush and go. I travel a frequently so I didn't get back for about three months, but my hair still held up and looked good. Definitely recommend Kaz.

Yuji was my hairdresser, and he was so kind, precise, and skilled with my haircut. When I first walked in, I thought, "ah this really is a no frills hair salon," and I'll admit I was a little nervous since it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I sat down, my nerves went away. Yuji was so gentle and attentive, and I felt really well taken care of. My appointment lasted about an hour and included a wash and cut. Parking is validated for up to two hours, which is definitely enough time. I was so happy with my results. I truly don't know how Yuji creates such magic with his hands! I'll be coming here from now on for my haircuts. Please show Yuji and Hair Craft your support by leaving a generous tip. An establishment like this that truly gives you high quality results for such a generous price deserves to be met with gratitude and good tips. Too many salons are charging an arm and a leg for a basic trim these days, and Hair Craft is not one of them. There were only 1-2 stylists working during my visit, so please be patient and make sure to book at least three weeks in advance. When I booked, they were already scheduled out for three weeks, and I overheard them telling other callers the same thing. Thankfully, it was absolutely worth the wait. I can't wait to come back and will definitely be booking with Yuji again. Thank you Hair Craft for such a wonderful experience!!!

I always need my hair thinned out, but my previous cut wasn't thinned enough, so I ended up wearing my hair half-up for the past four months. Celine completely transformed it! She gave me beautiful layers, thinned my hair exactly the way it needed, and added curtain bangs that frame my face so nicely. My hair feels much lighter, more manageable, and the cut looks great both down and styled. The price is definitely $$$, but for me, I was desperate for a hair remedy. Celine did a stupendous job, and I'm so happy with my haircut. I would definitely recommend her. She knows what she is doing.

I had a very disappointing experience with this salon…read more I booked my perm appointment in advance, drove over an hour to get there, and arrived early as they requested. However, when it came time to be seen, I was told it had been cancelled. It took multiple receptionists to realize that one of them had accidentally canceled it. The problem is that I was never notified. I didn't receive a cancellation email or text despite having notifications enabled, and no one could explain why I wasn't contacted. If I had been notified, I wouldn't have wasted over two hours driving. What was most disappointing was how the situation was handled. There was no tangible effort to make things right--no attempt to fit me in, prioritize me for another appointment, or offer any accommodation after I had cleared my schedule to see them and spent so much time traveling and waiting. I understand that mistakes happen, but unfortunately, I left feeling like my time wasn't valued, and I can't recommend a salon that handles scheduling errors this way. Additional note: My appointment was originally in August, but I rescheduled for July. I received a cancellation email for the August booking, but never the July one because I didn't cancel it. Edit: They claimed to have offered to schedule me with the soonest available appointment, but what's to guarantee that my appointment isn't mistakenly cancelled again? What's your new procedure to ensure my time isn't wasted? Will I receive an email notification this time? I can also schedule at home for your "soonest available appointment," so ultimately I was still offered poor customer service.

But I recently went to Samantha for a balayage and a root touch up and I genuinely think I got so lucky finding her first try. She was beyond sweet and so personable, explained exactly what she was doing each step, checked in with me, and just made the whole process super fun and easy. The color turned out SO good, like even better than what I originally wanted. I now don't have to worry about finding a stylist that will do my hair the way I want, she's genuinely so amazing. If you're new to LA like me and need someone to trust with your hair, go see Samantha!

Daniel is absolutely amazing! Not only is he an absolute sweetheart and an awesome person all…read morearound but he also truly takes the time to put his focus and care into each one of his clients. It was my very first time with The Hideout Salon and not only was he understanding of any scheduling rearrangements we had to make, he also made sure to make it a point that we would be setting enough time aside for what we would anticipate needing so that when the time came, there would be zero rush along with top quality service which makes a huge difference in customer experience compared to factory booking which sacrifices quality, time, and attentiveness for squeezing in numbers, and as clients we all greatly appreciate this! While I was waiting Allie was very sweet and settled me in/welcomed me and offered me something to drink. The decor of the place felt very cozy and cute. If youre a dog lover you'll also be very happy to probably see a friendly cute Lil doggo named Carl (Karl?) comfortably shimmying his way around the shop (and if youre scared of dogs dont worry, he really just does his own thing Lol). Hes So darn cute and floofy. I came in for both a color and a consultation for a potential cut. Because I sometimes tend to notice/look at details that others may want to gloss over or perceive as me overanalyzing, it felt really difficult for me to explain to others how my recent haircut from another place just a month or two ago had specific lengths and cuts in specific areas going around my whole hair that had left my previous haircut feeling kind of "off" in certain ways and that I felt was giving my hair the very slight illusion of looking shorter than it actually really was and a little "choppy" in some areas, which then had an effect on how it framed my face/widened it instead of helping elongate it. But when I explained it to Daniel, he totally got it and even held up the individual sections that he agreed were causing those effects, why it was creating the effect that it was and how we would resolve it. I was so happy that he not only truly acknowledges and makes it important to understand where his clients are coming from (whether its concerns or goals etc) but that he also has such skill and knowledge to be able to fully do so and hit the nails right on the head. The color was also beautiful as well and because I wanted something that was healthier than permanent that would also give my hair a healthier appearance (ie shine, softness, gloss etc) he recommended the demi and also mentioned that it would make it easier down the road for me to go lighter if I ever wanted to. The color blended and matched so well with the rest of my hair and everything from the cut to the color made me feel like all of my goals were achieved. Everything Daniel did with my hair left me feeling so *Bonita*, and he was just such a joy to work with and an awesome person all around. Thank you Daniel for this lovely experience :) -------------------------------- Parking: Since the salon is in the heart of Downtown, its best to try and arrive a bit earlier than your appointment time and to be prepared for alot of one way streets and quickly turning into the available open public parking lots closeby before passing the salon (to avoid having to go further down in a circle to get back to the parking again). I believe there are 2 or 3 lots before you pull up to the salon that have big signs that say public parking. If youre driving towards the direction of the salon, out of the 3 the first one youll pass is just self-service/pay which was the one I parked in, and the other two have attendants as you pull up to the salon. Im not sure if both of those allow open access to all, so i will find out the next time I go again :) The front of the salon itself can be very easy to miss so just make sure to park before you even pass it on your GPS and youll see a small little sign over a door that says the Hideout salon when you walk up. There will be a door code for you to enter so just ask the salon for the door code in advance so that youre all set to go when you get there as well :)
