If I could give these guys a 6* review I would. I am finishing a large remodel in Altadena and needed to find a painter. After getting about 10 quotes, Daniel Clark was not only extremely competitive price-wise, but he obviously knew what he was talking about and was very courteous. As somebody who has done a lot of construction, I definitely appreciate a real, professional painter when I meet one. Daniel and his crew delivered exactly as promised. They did an excellent job prepping the house and even fixed several issues from the framing (split wood, gaps here and there, etc). They did an excellent job sanding, prepping, and put a beautiful paint job on the back. We were so happy with the outside, that we had them paint some new cabinets and closets inside. Even though they were extremely busy, they were able to fit us in on short notice and did a great job on the interior as well. The most important thing was that Daniel and his sons showed impeccable integrity and professionalism throughout. Highly Recommended! It's often easy for people to look good when everything is going right. But it's not until some obstacles arise that their true colors become apparent. While I already liked Daniel's friendly, wholesome nature before the project started, I was even more impressed with his character and work ethic after hitting some major hurdles. Even with several challenges thrown at them, Daniel and his team rose to the occasion, maintained a positive attitude, and made sure the job was done right! Being on a hillside, painting our house is a difficult job to begin with. Additionally, I know we are very demanding (and sometimes indecisive) clients with high expectations. Lastly, the most impactful challenge was discovering halfway through the job that some of the paint provided by the paint store was incorrectly tinted (despite being correctly labeled). Even though it was not his fault, I know it must have really hurt his bottom line. Nevertheless, Daniel continued to prioritize customer satisfaction and a job well done! They worked really hard, long days (in the heat), and truly went beyond the call of duty. It's fantastic when people take so much pride in their work and are responsive to the customer's needs. It must have been fate, for Robert Clark just happened to be on another job minutes away from my house. The moment he arrived I knew I'd made the right decision. He explained what went wrong before and what it will take for a full restoration. We struck a very equitable deal and it was on and poppin'. I watched the extensive prep-work the crew did--scraping, power-washing, sanding, sealing, coating, priming, repainting--and I was totally amazed. The crew is outstanding. They worked hard nonstop, from start to finish. They were finished in four days, and I proudly say that my house looks like a home again. I highly recommend Daniel Clark for any of your exterior house painting needs. Selecting someone with integrity who will do exactly what they say they are going to do was very important for us in choosing someone to paint our house. Prior to purchasing our home, the exterior was in disrepair with stucco and paint flaking off of the sides of the house. There was also water damage on the wood fascia behind the gutters. I interviewed 6 different contractors to repair the damaged areas and repaint my house. Out of all of them, Daniel was neither the highest bid nor the lowest bid. His bid was right in the middle. What I did appreciate, however, was the professionalism that Daniel expressed in explaining what it would take to get our house to look beautiful again. He answered all of my questions and gave me a bid right there after doing a walk through of the areas that needed to be addressed. After he left, I had more questions to ask and he promptly answered all of my concerns. When we selected Daniel to do the work, he also helped us in selecting a shade of grey that would complement the look of our windows and trim. His crew that did the work finished the job ahead of schedule and they were always polite and did a great job of cleaning up the areas around the house before they left. I found a few minor areas that needed simple touch up work and they gladly took care of it. Just had Daniel and team paint the western facing front of my home that was peeling due to sun and weather damage. They did an excellent job and I would definitely hire them again! They prepped the surface properly, repaired damaged wood, matched the paint color perfectly and even repaired and painted a few extra areas on the carport without charging more.
