We reached out to get an estimate for stucco repair that we need and flashing replacement. They selected a date and time to come out that I didn't confirm our availability for. I had to contact them and change it. They did then called me to change it again twice after. They did arrive finally and did their checks to prepare an estimate. We are now waiting 2 weeks without an estimate and absolutely zero correspondence. If you cannot get your scheduling and estimates out in a correct and timely manner then I don't have the confidence that you'd even show up for jobs you are hired to do. I won't call you to chase for an estimate - I am not your project manager... Great experience with Modern Builders. I have found that it is really challenging to find good contractors who are reliable, punctual, reasonably priced and do great work. These guys gave me a fast quote, schedule me, confirmed and arrived early. They also underpromised and over delivered in my view, estimating a 1-2 day job and completing everything in one day despite encountering unexpected challenges. Not only that, these guys really went above and beyond doing work that confirmed the old school style of my home. These guys are top notch, professional, and damn good. First off I'd like to say my impressions of this business were great at first. Fast and responsive, Listens to what their client wishes to have done. Richard and Bryan were very nice and communicative with everything during the whole process. What left me unhappy was the lack of craftsmanship or attentiveness to detail along with not fixing issues with their finished product. I had T&B drywall out to my home to add insulation and drywall into my garage back in October of last year (2019). I discussed what I wanted to have done with Richard, he gave me a great price so I decided to set up a date with him to get started on this project. Everything during the installation process went pretty smooth, Until the drywall was all hung. Walking around the garage the evening before they were set to come and float the walls and patch any holes, I notice one of my outlets had been covered behind the drywall. I communicated this to Richard and told me he'd have it taken care of. The hole for the outlet needed to be patched so they patched it in and left one of the most hideous patch jobs I've ever seen (I'll be attaching pictures). After I realize how bad it was I was told again that it would be taken care of, And it was never touched again. Fast forward to when they had finished "patching" all the imperfections.. I brought up having them do the painting just so I didn't have to deal with the hassle and could just move my personal belongings back into my garage and out of the weather. The painting was AWFUL. They decided to spray the walls instead of rolling and letting them follow through with that was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. Parts of it are peeling, Some not even painted, and parts of my BRAND NEW garage door openers had been painted over. So frustrating. I was told by Richard AND Bryan that the patching and floating would be sanded to fix any small imperfections, and that they would also be caulking around any trim or corners of the garage. Oh and did I mention that I had to walk through after they left and fix holes the night before the painting? Just wait till you see the pictures of the walls and how uneven they look. I told Richard I was very frustrated with all the work and I was extremely unhappy, He told me that him and his guys would be back out to fix it. When I try to reschedule them to come back out and fix the mess they made I was left with no response. Fast forward to now.. it's April of 2020 and Every-time I walk into my garage all I can think of is how I was taken advantage of for trying to be understanding, and it's infuriating. Not to mention the fact that their products were never cleaned up or disposed of from my home. It still sits in my back yard. My advice to you, Look elsewhere. Please. read more

His price is competitive. He and Tony came to move my stuffs and cleaned up junks to give room for drywall installation. We had a few small jobs that needed to be done. They do quality work, respond fast, and finished my job three hours. I had to reattach a towel bar and toilet paper roll holder that was not originally installed correctly. It was falling off the wall. They did a paint match and went to Sherman Williams to get a gallon of paint to re-paint 1/4 of my bathroom wall. Fixed two interior doors that were hanging crooked. Added ventilation holes to a door for a dirty clothes closet, repaired water damaged stucco to an exterior wall above a planter box, painted the stucco and fixed a broken exterior rain water drain pipe.
