We had a very bad experience. Our appointment was at 11:15 AM, and we arrived a bit early. I never expected to be called before our appointment time. Minutes went by, and we were still waiting, patiently, until 11:45 AM. I noticed that they were calling other patients who arrived later than us. I started to wonder and asked the staff what was going on, why we weren't being called, and why they called other patients who came later than us. The response I received was that he didn't know. We were finally called at almost 12 noon, and I asked the staff what was happening; she said to ask the doctor. We were in the room, and we prepared our 93-year-old patient to lie on the bed to get ready for changing his SP tubing. The doctor went into the room and was mad that I had approached his staff to ask a question. He brought a paper showing me what he did for other patients, and that was not my business in the first place. Then he decided not to do the SP change, left the patient half-naked, and told me to look for another doctor. This showed how unprofessional he was to us and his attitude. Dr. Hyman had an attitude even before when I first met him. The only thing we were waiting for was at least the courtesy of being told to wait because the doctor was assisting another patient who needed to be seen first. We would understand, but none of them said anything, and the doctor did not say anything nice. Instead, he came in with an attitude. He really had the nerve.

OK, I had to worst experience today, attempting to go to my appointment with Dr. Hyman…read moreI plugged in the correct address on my GPS yet I parked in the paying parking, it was the wrong building (went all the way up at the eighth floor with my walker since I'm disabled and found out and it was the wrong building‼ When I call the doctor office the male receptionist was not really able to give me good directions to get to their building. Mind you this is quite a ways from my house and I had to drive back-and-forth in the commuting morning traffic for nothing! It's very frustrating After I finished with this review, I started reading all their reviews and about 70% of these reviews have a complaint about the receptionist or the stuff ! Dr. Hyman needs to revisit this because it really is a reflection on him Personally, he lost me as a patient, and I am trying to find another Urologist doctor

He is patient, kind, thorough, incredibly knowledgeable and an expert in Urology & related. He took the time to answer all of my questions, i never felt rushed and went above and beyond to expedite the process from consultation through surgery & after care, which I deeply appreciated. Nurse Practitioner: Heather Smart was equally outstanding--thorough, knowledgeable and attentive. She took the time to address all of my concerns during my initial consultation and made me feel informed and comfortable every step of the way. Jenny at the front desk, Alex, and the entire staff were exceptionally kind, patient and professional. Everyone made me feel welcomed and cared for throughout my experience. They are all true rockstars and I cannot recommend this team highly enough. You will not be disappointed. Thank you all for your exceptional care and support! Much love & gratitude!

So, I asked if this is Dr. Patel's office. She said "Yes". She could have said, "Hello, this Is Dr. Patel's office. How can I help you?" I asked her if they are accepting new patients and she said, "Yes". I asked if they are accepting Medicare. She said, "Yes, but need a secondary", which we do. She asked if it is PPO, and I said, "Yes". Then she said, you need a referral from a doctor". So I said, "What? We have PPO not HMO". Then she said, "We are so busy you need a referral". What the F? So, I said, "Thank you and goodbye". Dr. Patel, you need front office staff with good phone manners. I don't care how good you are as a doctor, but your front office represents you.
